Chicken Tikka & Cheddar Kulcha
Comes with mint and cilantro chutney, chickpea curry
Paneer Pinwheel Makhani
The drinks were imbalanced and not smooth .. out of the apps only jackfruit cutlet was good .. the other two tuna toastadas and paneer weren’t as good …
lamb keema and butter chicken keeps me coming back
Waited 3 hours to get food. They were gracious enough to give us free food for the wait but still not making it a good experience at all.
Great place, however the service is super slow even on a non busy night. Our bill was exchanged with another guest as well. So nit sure whats happening even though they were not busy.
As always I enjoyed my visit the manager once again great guy needs a raise, my waitress was very good, I think they had a new guy male my prawn Balcho it wasn't as spicy as the last time I had it, the tuna bhel Excellent as spicy as my mother's food, dahi puri had for the first time it was interesting a little sweet the chocolate rum ball was good a lot of truffles on the kulcha also very good I always enjoy my visit
The food was complex, creative and had a balanced level of spiciness. Very nice selection of vegetarian dishes. Wines were not exorbitant by New York standards. The service was attentive and genuinely warm, not obsequious. We will go back!
The taste changed and the service was poor
Went to Baar Baar for restaurant week and it was wonderful. The food was incredible. The atmosphere and aesthetics were nice. The service was great.
Nice ambiance, OK food and cocktails - can be noisy but overall great service/presentation
It was frustrating in the beginning because I especially made a reservation to dine indoors but the host told me they can’t accommodate us and we’ve to sit wherever a table is available.
Super delish food and warm service. Definitely going back!
Really nice decor and ambience. Food was really good. Great restaurant week deal, although my cocktail was definitely overpriced at $17 for an old fashioned. Overall though I would come back with friends.
Baar Baar is awesome- great, accommodating staff, food is both beautiful & delicious, gorgeous ambiance. Had a great meal & time with friends there!
Awesome awesome food! Each dish was so perfect and great. Black Dairy Daal is best in New York. Kolkata Jackfruit Cutlet was absolutely to the point. Dahi Puri is so yum! Drinks were great as well. Highly recommend!
Ambience was great - food was good - service was ok
Excellent menu choices. enjoy the Carrot Halwa Cake. Servers are professional. Decor is nice and outdoor patio has great air flow.
The food and drinks were delicious and the staff was very friendly. The feel of the restaurant was fantastic for dinner with friends.
Food was mouth-watering! The quality definitely matched up with the pricepoint. Although we did get the restaurant week special, I would come back again and pay full price for the food. The service was meh, but it was a Friday during restaurant week, so I am not suprised by the wait times. Overall great restaurant, would eat again.
The menu is not very elaborate but it is very unique. Fusion cuisine, attractive presentation and very tasty. Recommended.
I absolutely love Baar Baar. The food is amazing. Really cannot find any faults except that one of the hostess was extremely rude. She made us wait for half an hour despite the face that we had a reservation. I literally had to put up a fight in order to be seated. That’s just ridiculous
Everything was amazing. Restaurant week menu had good selections, drinks were delicious!
The cocktails we’re amazing. The restaurant week menu was good. The portions and plating are smaller than most traditional Indian high end restaurants like junoon but the food is good.
The Restaurant Week menu was diverse and delicious. Lovely flavors and textures. I especially enjoyed the fusion of the entrees. The restaurant ambience with soft lights, steady beat music and artwork makes for a perfect dining environment.
Amazing food, friendly staff, ambient atmosphere. Definitely coming back
They didn’t put the candle in the desert like i suggested on the open table app. I think it’s more an issue with open table and their communication with restaurants.
I love this place have come multiple times however the service wasn’t great this time , our server was very not present in the beginning , then rushed us towards the end as didn’t even ask if we wanted dessert . Also some of the staple menu items didn’t taste right upto their usual mark
Poor service, and AC was not working. Too hot inside.
Good drinks and appetizers.
Biryani - good quality, but flavor profile missed the mark. It was more like a spicy pulav. Definitely some work needed.
Simply amazing. Great food, awesome service and stylish interior. Highly recommended on all levels.
Insanely good! Restaurant Week was a great time to see what all the hype was about. It was honestly so fun and such fun little twists on everything. Would highly recommend their version of the Old Fashioned!
They have such a great menu of vegan and vegetarian food, especially the jackfruit.
So great and such a good time-- highly recommend.
Chicken swimming in grease with a birds nest on top and the promised lemon cream had zero lemon flavor and was a decoration on the birds nest with no chance of use with the chicken. Oily jackfruit cutlet. Onion and Sishito Kulcha with no noticeable onion and a red paste inside plus pepper on top and not inside.
We made a reservation, got checked in and were requested to wait at the bar for 15 minutes because there were “no tables available.” We took the next available table but the shock of needing to wait for a table, not because it was being cleaned/prepared but because all the tables were given away, made the experience start off poorly. The food was tasty and drinks were good but we asked for a simple modification (swap the tequila in the margarita for mezcal) and were denied because the drinks were pre-made. I would say the drinks are over-priced for being pre-made and bartenders unable to make fresh drinks at the customers request. Overall, the food was good, service/experience not so great, therefore I wouldn’t return.
While the food was great the service can be improved. We were requested to move tables during dinner which made our dinner order to be missed which caused our food to arrive about an hour after our order. To the server/managers credit they brought us a couple of drinks on the house. But, when we reordered a side of bread, this again took about half an hour, only for the waiter to realize that our order had been missed all over again. Would love for the restaurant to have more servers and better tracking of orders
Went with friends - menu was unique and fun but we wanted suggestions from our waitress which she did not give / had a hard time explaining how much food we should order.
Cocktail menu is very fun - $17 each though & the bar was pretty backed up. We didn’t even have time for our last cocktail because they were strict with the 90 minutes per table.
The food we choose was phenomenal - the chicken tikka + cheese in bread was the best way to start + the pork belly + cauliflower.
Service was SO tough - never received water refills, different waiters staff kept asking if we already got our appetizers, and they tried to clear our plates when we were eating 3+ times.
The Restaurant Week menu options were plentiful with lots of choices. The portions were great, the flavors were wonderful, and I hear the pork belly was so tender, you were able to eat it with a spoon!
Food was tasteless, the curry arrived luke warm, and the service was not great. Really unimpressed by the food - worst restaurant food I’ve eaten in NYC in years. Never again
We went there to try their restaurant week menu. We also tried their cocktails which were very good! Food was delicious, great presentation. Great ambiance but the music is loud indoors and outdoors, but some people may prefer that. Still, It was a great experience!
Starters took over an hour to come. Second course took another 30 minutes.
Because the food took so long we were rushed to eat because they needed to close the restaurant.
The food here is creative and delicious. It's great for a special occasion.
Very good service, food was good, restaurant week menu was good
Food was tasty but the music was bit too loud during brunch. The music was amazing and also the singer was good
