Join us for this journey with India-inspired cocktails that pay homage to our beginnings and modern interpretation of regional Indian Cuisine crafted by Chef Sujan Sarkar.
It is nice upscale Indian restaurant with lot flare; it is worth trying once at lest.
Appetizers were good, Main course was okay for vegetarians.
Was not all what it was hyped to be
Service was great! Shoutout to Sacha for always taking such good care of us!
Food was Meh at best, stay away. They serve papad with hummus, probably the weirdest combo EVER!
My sister was visiting from Melbourne, Australia and i went with my girlfriends for night out. The cocktail drinks were awesome and v reasonably priced. I had a mocktail and the bartender who made my drink did an extraordinary job. The food was amazing as well. Rajeev who introduced himself as the owner was a nice gentleman and even offered us some complimentary on the house small plates while we were waiitng for our table. They went above and beyond to make our experience a great one! Thank you to everyone.😊 They also have live DJ for saturday brunch and live music for sunday brunch. Definitely coming back with my husband for brunch!!
They kept us waiting 20min for a table but made up for it with a free glass of Champagne. Very sincere and happy staff who make you feel welcome from the moment you step into this restaurant. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. Will definitely return to try some of the other dishes!
Upscale Indian eatery with a well heeled south Asian clientele
It was an amazing time!
Great as always! Never had a disappointing experience, amazing food, great ambiance, incredible staff!
Todo exquisito, mi plato un poco picante pero abundante.
Lived up to its hype- traditional Indian with a twist of modernity. Tenderest octopus ever, green pea& mint kulcha great flavor and texture, the avocado added a nice twist to raita, the paneer pinwheel entre was a bit flat - leathery texture on the outer skin of the cheese, desserts were modest portion but well executed and not overly sweet.
We had brunch reservations. The food was okay. Chicken kulcha was good, but the macaroni was bland and could have used more seasoning. We got the rum punch, which I thought would be a very fruity drink, but it seemed like it had coconut milk or something in it, which made it milky - not my favourite. However, the service was great and the ambience was phenomenonal.
They only gave half our order because they said the kitchen was busy. Very bad customer service
Great music but too loud for servers and guests
Fantastic food and cocktails and the service was outstanding. Definitely returning...
Name day // live music, awesome drinks, best Indian food and great hints of the service !
Went for Valentine’s Day with a reservation made weeks in advance. Got a seat right next to the door which was open quite a bit (really cold and windy). Without asking, the hostess came over and asked if we wanted to sit somewhere else, we said sure. She took us to the back bar area where the blue bench is. Bad idea, the bench is really high up and you have to bend quite a bit at your waist to eat. The server was not happy at all. We understood, it happens. Despite us trying to be friendly and understanding he was still rude and inattentive... not just to us but to every table he was serving. Went about an hour after everything had been cleared from the table to get the check despite asking and confirming multiple times that we wanted the check.
To finish with a positive, the food was incredible. Would definitely go back again if we had better service.
Been there twice, once in a big group and the other time a smaller one. The experience has been great both times with respect to service, food & drinks and ambience. The menu has enjoyed choices without giving you too much choice and the food is delightful. The cocktails are strong and always leave me happily buzzed. Would definitely recommend this place for good Indian fusion food and a nice time in general.
I was very excited to try Baar Baar, but honestly the experience was disappointing. Portions were incredibly tiny, even by tapas standards, and none of the dishes were memorable. Service and cocktails were outstanding, but I definitely won't be back.
Great spot!! Food and drinks both were great. Definitely will recommend this place.
Creative and something for everyone. A fun place to go, buzzy but you can hear the people across from you.
Inspite of many unoccupied tables , we were seated right across the kitchen , with view , noise and strong aroma of Indian food . I requested another table , the hostess was not very accommodating , said " Either you get that table or the one right next to the welcome booth". Seeing my displeasure , another male employee( thankfully) jumped in and gave us a table of three near the window. I understand if it was full , and If I had no reservation , but this is not acceptable when the place is empty. The bartenders were not very pleased when my friend requested a ' happy hour menu". The drink was watered down ( as we barely tasted any alcohol) . In addition, he was given $10 less in change and then he had to go back and request for the deficit . This was my third time in BAAR BAAR and my experience is not the same as the first time. On a positive note , our server was excellent and food was great.
Tried this place for restaurant week with my boyfriend. Vibe is great for date night. It is ap hip Indian place with great fusion takes on traditional dishes. Their chicken 65 and butter chicken are to die for. If you like sweet alcoholic drinks, I recommend their kaira mule. Their halwa is also delicious dessert option.
My boyfriend and I enjoyed a fun and lovely meal here! We went during restaurant week on a seemingly busy night and had to wait a bit to be seated for our reservation (30 min). But, a yummy meal, vibrant atmosphere and (most importantly) my company made it a night to remember. Overall, good.
This place was above all I could have expected. We arrived early for our reservation and was seated right away. Decided on a whim to come here for restaurant week and was blown away by everything this restaurant had to offer.
The first course I got a friend cauliflower dish that was decadent, the lightness of the dip plus the friend cauliflower, great combo. Followed by a lovely sea bass, seafood dish - the seafood was tender, and the sauce was complex and slightly sweet. Last curse was a “chocolate ball” consisting of mouse, cake and a hard shell - rich and creamy.
Cocktail, I got a bourbon drink that had a great balance. The staff was attentive and friendly, even the own asked about my meal 10/10 would return
Went for restaurant week - wish they included naan or rice just as apart of the meal and not one of the sides, most Indian places give you rice automatically. Good was good
The food was very flavorful and authentic. However, the portion sizes were way too small, especially the main courses. I am not sure if it is a factor of it being restaurant week but the value was terrible.
Great place! amazing food! Would go again and recommend
Myself and some friends went for restaurant week. The place was packed and the only thing that suffered was service. They could’ve used a couple more servers. Aside from that, and the somewhat curt waitress, everything was great. The drinks, we tried 4 different ones, were all tasty and complimented the food well. Everything we ate was delicious, and we recommend saving room for dessert which is usually a pass for our group, but both restaurant week dessert offerings were beyond expectations. Normally restaurants treat this item as a throwaway, usually punting with sorbets or panna cotta. This offering was thoughtful and complex. Our particular waitress needed improvement. We needed to ask her if we could order, she didn’t check in during service, and we had to have the host run her down twice.
Great food. Great ambience.
It was good experience and amazing food
Nice venue, beautifully presented dishes and very good food overall.
Great food, beautiful decor, i highly recommend it.
All great. Second time there. Love the space. Love the food. One consistent complaint. The Host. Didn’t catch his name. He has a beard. Not very hospitable or friendly. In person or on the phone. Waiters are fantastic every time! Get rid of this host and things would be perfect!
Poor experience overall. Food arrived very late. Drinks came after the appetizer.
The waitress was rude. Towards the end when we were having our deserts, one of the employee said that we should wrap up because there are other people waiting. I have never experienced that at a nice place like that. We ended up spending ~$700 including tips between 5 of ya and I don’t think that’s the kind of experience you want for this amount of money. I complained the person at the front desk and the person didn’t care much either.
Delicious and fun but it's a huge spot with lots of parties and the volume goes hand in hand with that.
Amazing and it’s not everyday I give an establishment 5 stars.
I love Indian food - everything I tasted was leveled up but remained authentic.
Best waiter ever, his service was perfect
Just recommended this place to a friend today actually
Will be back!
