Amazing service and food!
Such a cute place and wonderful service. Food has yet to disappoint.
Super accommodating during these COVID times. Excellent service, food and drinks! The burrata and chicken sandwich were awesome!!
Wonderful brunch! Fun atmosphere! Attentive and gracious staff! The limitless mimosas are perfect for a lazy Sunday brunch.
My friend Tyler and I had a lovely time. We had so much fun chatting with our server who made us feel comfortable despite the “weirdness” of living through a pandemic. I will definitely be back for a visit.
We sat outside in the patio which was very pleasant. Our server, Candice was excellent!
Incredible food, pleasant outdoor setting, very attentive and friendly staff. Will absolutely go back.
Amazing brunch! Fun atmosphere with incredible food and drinks. Great for bigger groups for brunch or date night. One of my favorite neighborhood spots!
Great Brüssel sprout dish on the menu
the noise level (Extremely loud music) was absolutely awful. We almost walked out but we did not have another dinner reservation therefore we had no choice but stayed there. While we were at the restaurant at least 2 customers (and we) complained and we begged to turn down the music twice but we were totally ignored. We dined there on Sunday, March 1, 2020.
We did had several brunch before but we did not have thie problem. It was extremely unpleasant dinner.
Great spot, especially if seeing a show at SFJAZZ
It’s a very good pre-show experience. Good service and proper food.
Went for a pre show dinner, prompt service & food arrived with plenty of time for the show. Tasty crab cakes & excellent burger & tater tots. Very good wines by the glass.
The chips and guacamole were great, as was the key lime pie. I requested medium rare for the gigantic pork chop and it came out well done. Even though the chop was overcooked, I ate it all because the flavor was there. We both had a nice meal overall.
Had dinner before a show. Was excited about tator tots (childhood favorite), but they were overly seasoned and more like mashed potatoes than hash browns. Disappointed. Brussels sprouts were very tasty (but very heavy). Steak was unimpressive, chicken sandwich was not as great as I expected. Sadly, we are unlikely to return. It is so convenient when seeing shows and the service was exceptionally fast.
Service was slow and—surprisingly—insensitive to time constraints before a show. The tater tots were bad. The chicken sandwich was soggy.
I had a glass of the daily special, a brut rose. It was balanced and delicious. We shared a chicken salad, which was disappointing. There was very little chicken and the “greens” were mostly red cabbage. Overall, it was blah. We also had guacamole. It was pretty bland as well. I remember eating really good food here in the past. I do commend them for the fast service. We were able to order and eat before our show quite quickly. Our reservation was an hour before the performance starting time. We had plenty of time to spare. In summary: food is ok, not bad. But, hey, it’s a cafe at a theatre ...
The restaurant was not well equipped to deal with a special venue. Even with reservations, they ran out of potatoes and fruit. They didn't bother to tell you when you placed your order that they had run out. My entree lacked a vital component for the dish and the wine that we had ordered never showed up.
I would give it a higher rating, if it wasn’t for the fact that there was one server trying to take care of everyone. He was wonderful, but absolutely overworked. And there’s no excuse for how bad the coffee was! My suggestion is, order the food, because it is delicious. Either get coffee elsewhere, or I suggest that they get an espresso machine.
Very disappointed, the Caesar salad with “chicken “( need a flashlight to find the chicken), was basically lettuce.
The server didn’t seem to know the menu and all in all was not a decent meal🤷♂️
The B Side is a great pre-concert place to go. It's all about the pork chops (in my and my companion's opinion)! They are superbly prepared (cooked all the way through) and are good-sized.
They come with delicious mashed potatoes and a rather overcooked, not-so-great spinach side. Besides the spinach, the rest of the plate is delicious.
The service was very good and the waiter was attentive without being over-bearing.
Convenient for a show at SF Jazz, but the food was not exceptional, and afterwards they did not have espresso drinks and had a very limited dessert menu
Bartender made us a mezcal margareta! It was very good.
It was ok , not better then that.
Food was good as usual. We sat at the bar and did not get much attention from the bartender. Very unfriendly. Don’t know why. Still left a 20% tip but didn’t even get a thank you.
Extremely convenient when going to a show at SF Jazz Center. The service and food were very good.
We try to eat here every time we attend a show.
An absolutely wonderful location to have dinner. It was an added plus that the restaurant is located at the venue. I look forward to returning in the future.
Great spot before a show at SF Jazz... good food, drinks and very helpful staff.
Very convenient restaurant inside SF Jazz offers a simple, tasty menu for your dining pleasure. Excellent service and ambiance.
Before the performance we wanted a convenient place to eat and have a drink. The B-Side is located inside the SFJAZZ building so it is very convenient. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The staff were helpful and friendly. The only limitation of this place is that there are not many tables and we had to sit at the bar. It is best to reserve early to get type of seat you want.
Eating here makes total sense if you are seeing a show at SFJAZZ, you don't have to worry about getting there on time. Would even be worth a visit if you are NOT going to a show- good food, good pricing, good service.
We love B-Side. The flavors are always great. There is a great vibe and ambience. The staff gets a little challenged when there’s a see-out show. We had to go find our server twice - 1st to take our dinner order after appetizers/drinks and 2nd to give us our check because he show was starting soon. Overall- wonderful experience! Merry Christmas!
We greatly enjoyed the cheese plate and olives before devouring the very tasty salmon with carrots and spinach. All very fresh and tasty. Thanks
Food Good, Service Bad! My guest and I had only 90 minutes to have dinner prior to an SFJAZZ concert. After waiting for 30 minutes for our waitress to even look at us (never mind taking our drink or food order), we spoke with the Manager. He took our order and promptly delivered our food. The only time our waitress came to our table was to give us the check. We made it to the concert on time, but barely.
Blackened salmon was great. So was the pork chop, from an earlier evening.
The food and desert was delicious. I had their evening special- appetizer, main dish, dessert, and a glass of wine.
Looking forward to eating there again.
Highlights: Orion cocktail, crispy brussel sprouts & bread pudding. Lowlights: long wait for cocktails, burger well past requested medium rare, no slaw on the fried chicken sandwich & chicken was a small portion and it was mistakenly served cut in half.
Good food. Awful service. Waiter totally got the whole order wrong and then states "Well, this is how I wrote it down....". Dunce. Upon entering the establishment at opening all servers and greeters where involved in a meeting and could not be bothered to seat us.
Would not return unless I am desperate for a table near the opera house. Which very may will happen......
The best pork chops anywhere! Thick and cooked all the way through (not always the case with pork chops) Sides were okay- the potatoes were tasty, the greens severely over-cooked. The beet salad was delicious. Service was slow and not attentive.
Great place to grab a late night dinner after a show
