We ordered some apps to share - would have been better if they didn’t come out with our dinner.
We had the best time! Burgers were great! The Mojo shake was delicious
Great food, great service, and fun...Apps, Entrees and drinks great
My husband, 3 small kids and I had 7:00 reservations on NYE. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated promptly and then waited... and waited... and waited. The restaurant was not crowded and servers were hanging out, chatting, walking around. After sitting for 15 mins we finally flagged down a server, he took our drink order but told us we would have to wait for our waitress to take the food order. After another 7 or so minutes we still didn’t have our drinks and yet to see our waitress. We finally had to ask the hostess to see a manager so she could take our food order.
All and all the atmosphere was nice, the food was good, and we had a decent time, but be prepared for terrible, terrible service.
The food was great and tasty. The shakes were watery and horrible
Had a great time! Amy (our waitress was awesome)! Food was great and loved the atmosphere
I loved the decor of the restaurant. The menu was much larger than I expected and with some very unique options that made the choice difficult for me. I thought it would be typical hotel food but I was pleasantly surprised. Our service was excellent. The shakes looked fantastic but I didn’t love the taste and it wasn’t very thick, I’ll try a different one next time.
We ate here while staying at kalahari as the restaurant is located in the lobby of the hotel. It was very convenient and kid friendly. Very good services but it wasn’t crowded so that always helps. The food was ok. Better than I expected from an indoor Waterpark but couldn’t picture going if I wasn’t staying at the hotel but that’s because I found the menu to be limited. The items they had were fine quality wise and portions were large.
Our server couldn’t be found. She never checked on us at all but thought it was ok to add a 20% tip to our check. We had to have the manager wait on us. Food was over cooked and overpriced.!!
Top notch burgers and very good service!! Definitely coming back!
Great dinner to celebrate our sons birthday.. they accommodated a large party and the severs were on point with the entire meal.
Please Bring back the Brandenburg. I do not like this b-lux.
Server was very friendly. Atmosphere was warm and inviting. Restaurant was not busy and we waited an extended amount of time for basicly burgers. Received our salads with and after the burgers were served. We were surprised there were not bread or something as we waited.
Food was delicious...server was very pleasant. Would recommend to a friend. Will definitely dine here again when we visit Kalahari
Would have given the food 5 stars except that the garlic mashed potatoes were so gummy that we couldn’t eat them. Otherwise steak was amazing and the short rib tacos were very good. Extremely pricey and a little pretentious. Trying to be a Ruth Chris or a Morton’s but not quite there. Nicest restaurant at Kalahari.
Horrible dining experience. Would not recommend this place
Great new family burger and shake place in the kalahari-poconos. we liked brandenburg alot and were sorry to see it go but i do understand the reason for it to be replaced as a more family oriented establishment, given that kalahari is principally a family resort. nothing disppointed, as is typical of the kalahari experience. the burgers were great and mine was accompanied by a side salad. the service was excellent and its a finely decorated restaurant. we had two appetizers as well, very tasty. all in all, this is a great new option for kalahari poconos. oh, forgot to mention the shakes of course. decadent, no surprise for a family place and exactly looking like the pictures on the menu and on the site. they even have lower fat shakes made with yougurt, so as usual kalahari has a varied menu great for all tastes and sizes. we had a really great server as well, this is despite the fact that the resort was so busy over thanksgiving. give this place a try, for a great family oriented and family friendly place, and there are also tons of spiked shakes as well, so drinkers are addressed of course.
This is a resort restaurant, but they have made a pretty good job at trying to make it look and feel like a regular restaurant. We had some great burgers and forgot that we were at Kalahari for a while. The only negative aspect is that we waited 45 minutes for our food, which is a very long time with a 2-year old in tow. Think this was our waiter in particular and not something related to the entire restaurant. He seemed a little new and young'ish, so maybe just stressed out.
The service was absolutely terrible! I cannot emphasis that enough! The food also horrible. I will never be seen there again!
They were great with the kids and everyone loved their meals from the burgers to the entrees. We will definitely be back.
Atmosphere, food and service were all great! Our waitress Kamila was attentive without being overbearing. She made an excellent experience even better!
Burgers were big and tasty. We love the milkshakes
ordered burger medium, it came well done. no flavor. Fish and chips was ok. not bad but could use a kick. The malt vinegar waffle cut fries were chewy. Bavarian pretzel was on point with delicious stone ground mustard. The Oscar (crabmeat) burger was ok. Server was very pleasant but not very attentive. She had a very large group at the table next to mine (12 people) and spent most of her time attending to them so it took several requests to even get a glass of water with lemon.
Took my two young grandsons to dinner while we were at Kalahari. This restaurant had vegetarian options for me and kid options for them. Friendly staff. Fun environment. Food was good.
It would’ve been nice if they told me that they just change the name of the old restaurant that was there that restaurant was called Brandberg I was under the assumption that it was a new restaurant on the new management all they did was change the menu weird
Food was not good and overpriced for the quality. Burger came out broken, with an ingredient missing. The fries were lukewarm.
Very small menu and the food was fine. The turkey burger and veggie burger were average. My kids enjoyed the chicken fingers. The tator tots were excellent. No issues with the service. Nice beer selection. Overall a decent value for a quick meal.
Burgers were good, but not the fries. The shakes were watery and didn't look like the menu picture. The korean ribs were sold out so we didn't get a chance to taste them.
Also my daughters chicken nuggets were tasteless.
The service was not Good. Ordered only food not appetizers. Took way too long to deliver our food. We were a table of 6. I ordered soup it was like warm when it came. It was very noisy and very cold in the restaurant. I was very disappointed.
Had dinner the 1st night (11/9/17) restaurant was opened at Kalahari Resort and overall it was good. For starters we ordered the ribs, wings, pretzels and ahi tuna and they were all delicious & presented really nice. We were so looking forward to the burgers but they were not good and over salted in taste. It was a big let down. They did however, comp us for the burgers and hopefully they can adjust this in the future as I know is was opening night and have to iron out some kinks. The service was excellent and I would love to try it again on my next visit to Poconos.
Stayed at Kalahari Resort for 2 days, ate one night at B Lux. Food was less than average, our server was very good, atmosphere was nice. We had an awful experience with the snarky seating hostess who's name was Jamie. She was snide and condescending. Because of her demeanor, should I ever go back to Kalahari , I will not dine in that restaurant.
Not a bad place to have dinner if you are staying at the resort.
Very good food. Cool ambiance. Very convenient location
