   Excellent dinner and service. The food and drinks menu were very complementary. Wonderful evening. Thankful that the servers didn’t hurry us for our food / drink selections or push us to finish our meal.

   This restaurant was too cramp for my taste. Too many different waiters checking on you, while picking up orders for others at the bar. The bar was only half full, yet it felt excessively busy. Adding the fact that you are eating in a small basement with an uninviting backstreet entrance, this was not the relaxing experience I was looking for. Fortunately, the oysters were very fresh, but no price was shown on the oyster selection, which made me hesitant to order more. In fact, the price was fairly the same as in any other place around, $3.25/oyster. But you don't know that until you pay the bill. I will probably not return to this oyster bar in the near future.

   Very disappointed in the food. We been going to B&G for years! Always consistent Great food. Not this time. We always order the Fried Calamari it came out dark in color not the light calamari, oysters not as good as we are used to. Beet salad not much taste, chowder not that good, and chocolate mouse 👎 Service was very good. Not sure if we will go back.

   Arrived at 12 noon on a Wednesday. Was the only guest. They were very accommodating, but there was no atmosphere at this time. Fried Oysters and Lobster BLT were both great. Have dined here many times before when it was backed, which was more fun.

   Had a long layover at airport and decided to grab a quick ride into town. Could not have been a better lunch experience! The Oysters were fresh and firm. The New England Chowder was rich and smooth. Fish and chips were light and crispy and that Lobster Roll!! Delicious!! Staff was amazing. Thanks Francisco and the rest of the staff!

   The raw bar was excellent, but the entree selection was limited (no fish & chips?), and the service was surprisingly slow despite it not being busy. The lobster roll seems to be the one top-notch dish, and the other entrees are less inspired.

    Fantastic service and friendly waitstaff at B&G Oysters. Lunch was fantastic! Seared salmon over Cobb salad. The fried oysters were fantastic too! The fish and chips is very fresh. The best fish and chips in Boston!

    Great restaurant for some of the best seafood in Boston in a very eclectic setting. Wine list by the class could be expanded but everything was great. Service was top notch!

    Great food and service. I had a selection of raw oysters followed by bouillabaisse and my friend had the clam chowder and the whole branzino. All delicious and worth the price. This is a long time restaurant for me and I was delighted my friend from NYC loved it too!

    We went here for lunch and it was a pleasant experience. We enjoyed two dozen oysters, fried calamari and kale salad. A perfect amount for two people. The wine was delightful! I would definitely come back.

    The oysters and fries were great. The chowder, bouillabaisse, fried fish and Brussels sprouts were just ok. $18 for average chowder in a small bowl should be a crime.

    Great fresh seafood! We had oysters, fried calamari, kale salad with apples and squash, and scallops. All delicious. Perfectly cooked. Good service and nice wines. If I lived locally, I would go regularly.

    The oysters were fantastic, but from there it was downhill. Nothing special or particularly tasty. We recommend going for the oysters and a glass of wine and moving on to somewhere else. Oh, and if it’s a weekend night, don’t expect to hear the person you’re with.

    The outdoor dining area was very nice — private and quiet — a walled in courtyard with a leafed trellis overhead. It was a chilly night but the heaters made it warm and cozy. Oysters were good and the special — pumpkin bisque with hazelnuts and lobster — was very good with a generous portion of lobster tail. We also had a very nice waiter.

    We had The fresh oysters , clam chowder, and fried oysters… all three were delicious! Loved the lardons on the chowder. And, the bar made an awesome Negroni!

    Front desk staff very friendly, server amon was so attentive, great with his recommendations and really made our first experience here enjoyable. The lobster roll was actually really good and lived up to its hype. We tried all the oysters but love the well fleets

    We sat inside, but unfortunately by the door. And it slammed LOUD every time someone came in or out. It literally was so horribly loud. Great food. Excellent service. But the ambience by the door was terrible. Just make sure you’re not by the door.

    I found this restaurant on the infatuation app. I was not crazy about the atmosphere, we basically were sharing a table with another party in the front of a kitchen/diner. We didn't realize there was not a full bar. 3 cocktails on the menu. Beer and wine. The oysters were good. The clam chowder, which we were very excited to try in Boston was terrible. not traditional and watery. The lobster roll was decent. Our waitress was inattentive to us and our table. I would not recommend this restaurant unless going strictly for oysters.

    We've eaten there many times. The same plates are different every time. What I do not enjoy, however, are soggy french fries. Not every cook there gets the oil hot enough, and many of the foods are deep fried.

    I ordered oysters as a starter and the lobster role as my main. The oysters were amazing, very fresh and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the lobster role was a miss for me. It had zero flavor and the bread tasted stale...not the soft, buttery role I associate with a good lobster role. I understand lobster is no longer in season, but perhaps remove it from the menu, instead of serving frozen lobster that did not taste like anything, at market price.

"Lobster season" is actually a myth as lobsters are harvested year round in New England waters ( in fact more lobsters are caught right now due to higher activity!) and of course none of our lobster meat is frozen but is brought in daily. We couldn't remove our lobster roll if we wanted to as it is the most popular and most beloved item on our menu!     I’ve eaten at b&g before but years ago about 3 times. The oysters were fresh and spectacular. I ordered the watermelon salad with tomatoes and mint gremolata with burrata, thinking it would be unusual and have a different twist. It was super fresh and tasty but hardly had any gremolata to flavor it more. We were left wishing we ordered the grilled peach/arugula salad. The pea purée under the halibut was great and I loved the king trumpet mushrooms and the pearled onions were really flavorful, but the halibut was way over cooked and dry. It had a nice “sautéed” crust but maybe because the piece was small and on the thin side it was simply not up to par. My friend loved her fried clams.
