B&G Oysters is a modern yet classic take on the oyster bar, open Wednesday through Sunday with lunch starting at 12 Noon, dinner at 4 pm and a BOGO oyster happy hour from 3-5 every day. Located in Boston's South End, B&G Oysters has a decidedly neighborhood feel, combining polished but friendly service with fantastically fresh seafood dishes and food-friendly wines. B&G Oysters offers fresh local oysters, new takes on classic dishes and our famous lobster roll with house made pickles, coleslaw and fries. The cuisine and wine program have received many accolades over the years, including Best Seafood by Boston Magazine.

Please note that during the warmer months much of our seating is outdoors and weather dependent; in the event of inclement weather, we may not be able to honor outdoor reservations and will reach out to all guests if we are not able to seat the patio. PLEASE NOTE: tables listed as Standard are located inside the restaurant.

One of our favorite restaurants! We've been coming over a decade, and in fact, this is usually our spot for a late lunch after we get massages nearby on our anniversary every year. The staff are always welcoming and very on the ball - no awkward pacing or waiting for things. Food is always excellent, some of the best fish dishes out there. I'm slightly bummed that their lobster BLT isn't on the menu anymore but as usual everything else was fantastic (warm lobster roll in particular and chowder). Truly a little gem. We love sitting at the counter too, its fun to watch the kitchen and its still a nice dining experience with added bonus of some entertainment. I really hope they stay open.

Too bad they’re closing. Four of us dined. The food was delicious! We had three apps and all got a different entree. Tyler was great. I called because we had a gift card for The Rudder we couldn’t use because it closed abruptly. Tyler assured me we could use it at B&G. He remembered me by name and where we drove from. I hope we see Chef Tyler somewhere new.

Casual cozy setting with both indoor and outdoor seating. Service was prompt and attentive. Our server provided insightful comments on questions about the menu items. Great choice especially if you are in the Backbay "area".

The food was delicious as always. The wait staff was a bit distracted. Ambiance a bit tired. We did a double take on classic lobster role and thought we got a half sized portion for the $51 price.

We had an incredible time at B&G. We were recommended by a friend, so we knew it would be good. But we weren’t aware that the service would be too notch, and all of the food would be amazing. Can’t wait to go back.

The Risotto was SOoooo... dam, good. I could have thrown it on the floor and rolled in it. Such great flavor.

I had the Ipswich clams, very good. My wife had the lobster roll. We were not impressed with that. The chocolate mousse was pretty good as a dessert.
