B&B Butchers & Restaurant - Houston

Food was ok. Steak was nice; lobster was mealy. Tables are too close together in my opinion. My back was touching the back of a person at the adjacent table. Noise was limiting our conversation. We could hear the 3 tables around us conversations in detail. Won't go back, not worth it.
The wagyu steak was very tough for medium rear
It was our first time visiting B&B Butchers and we were so impressed. I wanted to go somewhere special for my husband’s birthday and it did not disappoint. The waiter was very informative and answered all of our questions to help us pick the best cuts of steak. Don’t pass up the option for bacon as an appetizer, it’s not something to be missed. The bread, side dishes and desserts rivaled the fabulous steaks.
My husband found this place to celebrate our anniversary. The worst thing that can happen at a HIGH END place like this. The fact that the restroom was not working!! Not good for the ladies. My green salad hand no taste just a bowl full of greens with a lil dressing. My steak was very COOKED, I ask for medium well it was more raw. Had to send it back. The bake potatoes was old & brown inside when we cut them opened. Then you place your own toppings in them yourself. After spending $200 I don’t think we will be going back. After reading most of these reviews, SEEMS alike they have a plumbing issue that needs a lot of attention to. This is a big Embarrassment to such a high end place like this.
great bar, great food and great service ! Stuffed shrimp appetizer was really good!
We had a small group of 4 for a Milestone Birthday. We made our reservation on-line, and that went perfectly. We arrived 7-8 minutes late, again no problem. Food was wonderful and service was excellent. Nice wine list, also. Highly recommended.
Excellent food, service and wine list. Nice ambiance in main dining area.
Great bone in chopped steak.
This was only my second trip to B & B's. I must say that I need to come back more frequently. The atmosphere is cool and kinda has a western flare to it! Awesome selection of wines, the meal was great and the service was tops!
Best steak in town and also phenomenal other options!
Great food and service !
Service was great. Very attentive and professional. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable. The noise level was very high. It was hard to hear. The dry aged bone in ribeye was very tough. Flavor was good. It was cooked to the right temp (med-rare). The cut was right. However, it was way too tough for a rib eye. The sides, appetizers, and soup were really good.
Went for the first time due to great reviews & recommendations. We were celebrating our anniversary. We were originally seated at a four too table that prohibited us from looking at each other. The table was a half circle that looked into the dining area. We immediately asked to be moved to a small 2 top. Felt we were rushed by the server to order. Ordered a filet that was extremely undercooked. Then cam out over cooked. They did take care of the filet on the bill. We ordered dessert, was not comped for our occasion. The word Happy & Anniversary were spelled incorrectly. Sad experience....
I guess they are really known for there steaks. I went for Sunday brunch and had chicken and waffles. I thought both were average. I will most likely not go back for brunch but I may try a steak dinner next time
The restaurant is pleasant. I had a rib eye and it was tasteless. The spinach and garlic whipped potatoes were great. There were gnats at my table and one flew into plate and died. I showed my waiter Sergio the picture of the gnat and he brought me another tasteless steak. He did not offer to take anything off of my bill but instead stated bugs get into the building sometimes. I was very disappointed as my bill was 169.00. The carrot cake was delicious though!
The food was excellent and the atmosphere was good. We were disappointed as the restrooms were not operating and we had to cross the road to a sister location to use their restrooms. Although it was disappointing, overall we enjoyed our evening at the restaurant.
Food, ambience and service was excellent once again. Thank you for a great evening on our special occasion.
The chicken was delicious. My boyfriend got the sea bass, but for the price, his was not great and honestly he thought it wasn’t worth it. Everyone else ordered steak & seemed to enjoy. The chicken shank is always wonderful, though.
Filet mignon was sub prime, the cream spinach was grocery store quality so was the desert.
Food was fantastic and service was excellent. We will definitely be returning again.
Amazing service. Meal was delicious. Special mention for the thick cut bacon and the rosemary topped bread. Steaks were well cooked and tender.
The only thing, I notices that could be improved is the Bathroom Area Odor, I notice the you are using Jo Malone infusers outside of the ladies room which is nice, but its not mixing well with whatever cleaner you are using on the floors.
It makes for a very, very musty odor right in front of the bathroom, may I suggest some type of Lemon Cleaner, or something with less Clorox.
That odor stayed with me all during my brunch.
Over all I love this restaurant, and I will be back.
Great location and selection on the menu. Service generally allowed for a relaxed dinner (a peeve of mine is when service rushes the dinner).
The steak medallions and bacon plate were awesome!
The food was impeccable, the service was great and the scenery was very nice! Definitely will recommend this restaurant!
Fantastic service with amazing food well priced. For the middle of the lunch rush, the food came out hot, fresh and well timed. From the moment we were seated, to the end, the service was spot on.
Only negative was sitting on top of table next to us.
Our overall experience was Awesome. Great Wait Staff Team. Food was amazing.
This was an anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint! One of the best meals I've had in Houston. We decided to spent a bit more than usual for the special occasion and it was completely worth it. Our server, Carl, was prompt, friendly, and helpful in answering our questions. I cannot wait to come back for another dinner soon. Highly recommend!
My wife and I chose B&B Butchers for our 30th wedding anniversary dinner. We reserved a table online. We were very pleased with the experience from arrival to departure. Great service, atmosphere and food. Will definitely do it again!
Great menu for Houston Restaurant Week! Great value and the patio was excellent as always. B&B never fails to provide excellent service and food.
Houston has many steak houses, and they tend to be much the same. B&B has really differentiated itself by butchering its own meat and offering sides that are different from its competitors. My wife and I had fillets that were truly outstanding - about as good as it can get. The creamed spinach was absolutely the best we’ve ever had, hands-down. Just a great meal. We will definitely be back.
Have had B&B several
Times before and always impressed with not only food, but service as well. Decided to attend the last night of restaurant week and the service was horrible. We went 45 minutes without ever seeing our waiter again after appetizers. Finally had to grab another waiter to ask for our dessert and check. When our waiter finally showed up he said nothing but hand us our checks and waited for the cards. No how was it, can I get you anything nothing. I can understand when it’s super busy but I’d say it was a normal
Monday night at B&B. I expected more.
Our server Matao was wonderful. Had great suggestions for us to try and he wasn't wrong with any of it. The food, ambiance, service was all excellent. It was so nice sitting out on the open patio, I can't wait till we have a great fall day when they would open the roof up. Need to be not 100 degrees outside!
The only reason I gave the food a 4 star is that I had the bacon wrapped shrimp and it was way overcooked. Chewy and dry. The filet for my hubby and i were cooked to perfection!! and the desserts were beautiful and yummy. carrot cake and creme brule
Great place for meat lovers. Love the bacon appetizer and steak salad, and the filets were great.
Great ambiance and very good food. Will definitely go again and tell someone else about this restaurant.
The steak was excellent but you can get an excellent steak at many places in Houston for less money. The Wedge salad was awful. The lettuce was barely chilled. There was no bacon on the salad. The waiter should have suggested an upgraded version including the "precious" bacon that they are so proud of.
The desert was fine but nothing to write home about. Overall,, it was ok but we do not plan to return.
My steak entree was suppose to be med, but came out well done. I ate it anyway, because I didnt want to wait. I was a little disappointed in that. Otherwise it was a good experience. I had the 22 oz rib eye. It still good, but it would have been a lot better at med.
Awesome. Food and service was exceptional. Great wine selection although by the glass a little expensive.
