B&B’s is my favorite steak house when I’m here in H-Town. I’ve been here now 4 times and it is consistently awesome.
Keep up the good work B&B

I took my fiancé here for his birthday & it was amazing. Our waiter made awesome suggestions and was super friendly. We both heard how amazing the steaks were and we weren’t disappointed! We ordered the filet mignon, dry-aged sirloin, with a side of garlic mashed potatoes & roasted mushrooms - SO much food and definitely worth it! The menu is on the super pricey side so I would save this for a special occasion but we for sure will be coming back!

We dined on Easter Sunday. Could not be more pleased with the environment, food and service. A very rich and pleasing meal and experience. The owner upgraded our table as we were being seated without us asking. I'm a big guy and that was a wonderful gesture. For starters we had the off the menu appetizer of "bacon wrapped shrimp with crab meat and a wedge salad. The shrimp were excellently prepared and the sauce added a piquant taste to them. Our entrees were crab cakes and the 22 oz bone in Ribeye. The Crab Cakes were sumptuous and the medium rare Ribeye was one of the juiciest steaks I ever had. The wine was excellent and our server was a real pro. My girlfriend and i Love to be Spoiled and they sure know how to do that. Great place for special occasions!

B&B Butchers never disappoints but this trip might have bested them all. We attended their Easter Brunch and requested a table on the patio upstairs. The weather was perfect for dining outside...not something we get much of in Houston. It was nice having the option of both the brunch and regular menus. Lunch started with the always-on-point carpetbagger oysters and Tommy's bacon. I had double cut lamb chops that were cooked perfectly rare with a little crust on the outside. My two guests both ordered individual beef wellingtons that they thoroughly enjoyed. The lump crab-topped macaroni and cheese was to die for. I've not yet had a bad meal at B&B and though this was my first brunch with them, it certainly won't be my last.

We always enjoy our meals at B&B. Our server, Mo, was one of the best we have ever had. Excellent job! Thank you for accommodating our last minute request to add one more to our party. We will be back!

Due to the fact that I am of the middle class as are most of my friends while I did have a lovely evening, it was mostly because of the service, which was outstanding, and the company of my dining partner. The overall vibe of our sitting area, inside-upstairs, was very friendly. Perhaps if I had opted for a more expensive cut of meat I might have been more impressed. The filet was good, but I have been more amazed elsewhere for less money.
The Key Lime pie tasted like cheesecake (sorry).

The six Scotch's we had between the two of us on empty stomachs were among the best I have ever had! :-)

phenomenal from start to finish!! Our service was impeccable, I ordered a drink not on the menu and they were happy to make it for me, and our food was amazing. When Sarah found out it was my birthday, she took a wild guess and had my favorite (carrot cake) sent to us on the house. Perfection! We’ll be back for sure.

My husband had to return our entree because it was over salted. Surprised us that this would happen but the chef corrected the error and we were able to enjoy our dinner.

Ambience was nice and service was good, but most of the food was average or even mediocre. At those prices it should have been superior, but instead the steaks were quite disappointing. The spinach was runny and the desserts not worth the calories. The best thing we ate was the corn soufflé, but at over $300 for dinner for two sans alcohol it was far below our expectations!

Parking is horrible, food was mediocre, floors were slippery, and the hostess stuck us at a table that was hard to get to because of the crammed tables. There needs to be more space in between tables so you aren’t bumping into others or getting bumped into. Overall, it’s a good place for friends to go hang out, but not ideal for a business meeting.

Food was good but you can get equally good food at other places for much less money. As soon as we told the waiter we were first time customers, we were treated in a condescending manner as though we knew nothing about food or wine. We had an early dinner reservation so that we could attend a 7:00 pm event. The entire first hour of our dinner the wait staff moved metal chairs and tables around a concrete floor to set up for other reservations. The noise was irritating and ruined the conversation between 2 people sitting side by side!! I rarely write a negative review but this place was a huge disappointment.

Totally disappointing relative to my expectations. My first time but my lady is familiar and picked. We chose a late time but any ambiance was overshadowed by the din of loud diners. Oysters and cocktails were excellent as was initial service. Then we did not see either ( 2 ) of our servers for 10 minutes at a time. After FINSHING salads we waited 20 minutes for entrees. Other tables that seated during our salads got their entrees before us!! Steaks were underwhelming for the price and reputation.

This was my 3rd trip to B&B Butchers. The trip was to celebrate my wife's birthday. As usual we had Chef Tommy's Bacon. It is a thick cut bacon with truffle honey and Roquefort blue cheese. I dont usually enjoy blue cheese, but I love this dish.

Our steaks were perfect. B&B doesnt serve my favorite steak, but it is more my personal preference. The meat quality was great as was the cook. Everything was as described and served perfectly. THe wait staff was amazing as always.

We were so looking forward to a good steak and we were both incredibly disappointed. Carpetbaggers were off, wine (cab) by the glass selection was only one choice, highlight was BLT salad and even then the bacon was tough.

The food was AMAZING! The view from the rooftop is remarkable and the service was good. It took a while for us to place our order because there was only one waiter and he was assisting a large party. However, he still provided good service. Overall, we had a great response and we will be returning soon!

We loved the atmosphere at B&B! Sure could use some comfortable chairs though! They look cool but not comfy at all.
We were here for lunch so didn’t go all out. The lamb burger was really good and the carpetbaggers were delicious! I ordered the filet which was unexceptional. A pretty thick portion of the outer layer was well done and the center rare even though I ordered medium rare. The manager offered to recook the steak, but the second one was about the same. I didn’t have the heart to tell them. It was seasoned well. The service here seems to be well trained. We will definitely be coming back for dinner. Need to get one of those booths though.

We went there for dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant was freezing. It was unbearable so we sat outside. It had to be 50 deg in there. We ordered an appetizer that was a special. It was a stuffed shrimp. It came out cold. Took 1/2 hour to get 2 drinks and 45 min to get bread. Service was very slooooow. Wouldn't go back. Ordered a chateaubriand medium and it came out rare. They sliced it and all the juices came out. It was a $120 steak and then they re-cooked it and it came back 10 minutes later dry. It was terrible. I would never ever go back or recommend it. Plenty of other places that are better. We didn't like anything at all about the place. Learn from our mistake and don't go there.

Our reservation outside was ready on time and we were seated promptly. Our waitress Sarah greeted us and took our drink orders and gave us time to look at menu before telling us about the specials. Our meal was great, served at a proper pace and not rushed. It was a great family evening of dining!
The tuna, Chilean sea bass and carpetbagger hotdog was amazing. Would pass o the chicken fried steak in the future. It was ok but not as delicious or well presented as the other dishes.
