Carol and the other wait staff were excellent!
No host at the door and no one acknowledged us - eventually someone came. My food came to me twice burnt and I took one bite and left it. The service was terrible and the female bartender with a pierced nose laughed at our situation with another tattooed female bartender. Terrible experience and very overrated.
Martin was our waiter and he ROCKED IT
If I could describe our visit in one word: underwhelmed. This was our first and will be our last visit. Brought my beautiful wife to B and B last night for her birthday dinner. The front desk staff greeted us and we were seated for our 6PM reservations in a timely fashion. Unfortunately, the experience was all downhill from there. Our waiter, Hector M, had the personality skills of a mime with two broken arms. There was no interaction at all and no descriptions of the menu or specials. No recommendations whatsoever. His only comment was, quote “Do you have any questions about the menu?” I could understand this type of service if I was at an Outback Steakhouse being served by a teenager. At an alleged high-end restaurant like B and B Butchers, not so much. We fought through the awkwardness and placed our drink and appetizer orders. The Bacon 3-Way was delicious and my favorite part of the meal. From an alcohol standpoint, there was no bourbon list, which I personally find quite frustrating. Upon receiving my drink, it was clear that the bourbon pours were quite stingy. The bartenders need to re-calibrate their pour counting techniques. When the main course arrived, our disappointment became full-circle. We selected The Long Bone for 2, a large bone-in ribeye. The steak was cooked medium rare just as we requested, but the flavor was lacking. No pop whatsoever, just so so. I could have had the same flavor from Hoffbrau for around $80 less. Highly dissatisfied. The sides we chose (loaded mashed potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, and mac & cheese) were not noteworthy either. Nor was the chocolate cake dessert. Additionally, empty plates stayed on our table for an excessive amount of time. Our drinks were not refilled in a timely fashion and at one point we waited literally ten minutes during the meal for refills. In summary, if you enjoy substandard service, low volume pours, and mediocre food at over-inflated prices, you will absolutely love this place!!
The food and service was excellent however, almost none of the wines I chose were available and the alternative that was offered was not that great. Also, my boyfriend's steak came out medium rare when it was supposed to be cooked medium, and when they brought it back from throwing it on the grill again, it was definitely cooked WELL.
A comedy of errors. No table acknowledgement and no table silverware for over 20 minutes. until we finally flagged down the multiple servers around us. Took approximately 20 more minutes to get out our drink order and this was after tables that came after us got their drink orders first. Our drink orders were 2 glasses of wine and a scotch. So it wasn’t difficult in getting those orders out. Then after this we had the manager come by and apologize and say the first round is on us. It wasn’t done as advised. To think I actually cancelled Del Frisco’s for this place was a mistake. The bill was over $400 and I tipped over 20% but the meal was average at best and that includes the 55 day aged beef that was not good at all. We have been here many times but this is the last time to give this place a chance. There are better service and food in Fort Worth.
I am so disappointed. I personally picked this for my birthday and included 2 couple friends. The service was less than stellar. The food was underwhelming. Our tables were slowly cleared. They were out of tap cocktails on a Friday night. I knew this was a high price point which I never mind paying but to have poor service and unexceptional food. Completely regret this decision.
We've been multiple times for birthdays and anniversaries. First time i was highly disappointed! Brought my parents from out of town. NO beer selection - none on tap, and beer out of stock - for my father. Very few ppl but waited forever for menus and food, especially main course. Portions were noticeably smaller, carpetbaggers is our usual start, barely a mouthful. Bread is now one hard to cut loaf - not a varied selection as before - on a plate too big for our very small table. My wife's coffee was good but came in a much larger press than before, again too big for our table. Our waiter was attentive but rushed and was somewhat impersonal. Waiter was constantly setting articles and portions on our menus, again due to the very small table. The food was excellent despite the portion sizes. Not sure whats happened, assuming B&B has been purchased by a much larger conglomerate?? Too bad, it us not the same place we first enjoyed 3 yrs ago. We will not be making the trip from the Keller again to your establishment.
We were at B&B on a Sunday night to celebrate our Anniversary. Erica was great...it was a quiet night, but that made for a perfect night on the great patio.
I had visited the Houston location recently and wanted to share how great B&B is with my husband. They have some unique beef offerings and some classics. Hubs had the Beef Wellington as he had never had it. It was amazing. I had the Wagyu Butcher's Butter (Ribeye Cap). It was so tender, perfectly seasoned and precisely cooked.
I love thier wedge (I eat them EVERYWHERE) and B&B has perfected the Blue Cheese dressing thick, tangy funky. HUGE shout out to thier loaded Mashed Potatoes. It is a giant mound of carb heaven. Don't miss them.
We opted for dessert instead of a starter and had the Berry Butter Cake....they have several great options and some liquid desserts as well. Be sure to make it to that portion of the menu.
There are lots of great places to get a good piece of beef in the metroplex, this is topping my list right now.
Great food! Loved the French dip sandwich! The manger Gina was great and called to let me know my mom left her phone on the chair by accident. Very nice!
Lighting was a bite to dine beside that everything was perfect will be back for sure.
Wonderful food and even better service, we'll definitely be back soon.
B&B butcher is a 5 star restaurant. Everything was amazing from the drinks to the entrees. I definitely will be back again.
Waitress had a horrible attitude and those were the smallest wine pours I've ever seen. Will not return.
Birthday . Great service .
After being seated, I waited for 10 minutes without being greeted and watched as the waitress helped another table that had been seated after me. Got my food without silverware. The crab cake was decent but the macaroni and cheese was lukewarm, it didn't even melt the cheese topping and mushrooms were bland.
Excellent meal. Steaks were perfect. Wait staff was fabulous. Will be going back.
Everything was great but the food. The filet was a bit dry and overcooked. The brussels sprouts were underdone and mostly inedible. Service and environment were excellent.
Food was good, but for the price the steak was as tender as I expected
Let me be clear, this review is not based on our wait staff, who were incredible. From the time we entered the restaurant, we were greeted with the awful, “What can I do for you?” This was from who I assume is management, a male in a suit with glasses sitting atop his head. Well, you’re a restaurant and we are coming to eat, and even have a reservation....oh yeah, and it’s for my wife’s birthday.
Then, after eating and waiting for the check, the same male came to our table to “check” on us. When my wife commented that this was the first time she’d had Oscar style with onions in it, she got a smart aleck reply of “Yeah, I guess they do that for the taste.” No kidding? We couldn’t have figured that out. With so many great choices for fine dining, I won’t be back to dine here. (I know, I know, we should be lucky to spend our money at YOUR restaurant.
Lovely birthday lunch! Excellent service and delicious food. Thank you, B&B.
The food was overall good but didn’t feel like our steak was seasoned very well. The service was great.
Greatest restaurant experience in my life. Very nice an Eloquent
The Wagyu ribeye was the best steak I have ever had... amazing
Great food and service as always.
Thank you very much!
Outside seating was very comfortable, and the service was fast and attentive.
I was there for brunch and had some eggs Benedict with steak that was supposed to be blackened and it was not very precise they slather the hollandaise sauce and nothing was defined it was all kind of like a sloppy mess the flavor was fine egg yolks were fine the whites were really not edible.
This is my second time for Brunch and love their food. Service is always on point.
Food was great, service was great. Not the cheapest place but the food is worth every penny.
Last night, I took my wife out for a much needed date. All of our friends have been raving about B&B, so we decided to give it a shot. The ambiance was nice and the food & wine list looked amazing. However, our waiter hardly ever came by the table and I had to pour our own wine several times because our glasses were empty for several minutes. We ordered several appetizers, one being Chef Tommy’s Bacon and just as we were about to dive in, a fly came out from under one of the pieces of bacon and started hopping around on my plate. I took a video of it with my phone and have reached out to the management of the restaurant but no one has responded. It’s a shame that such a high end restaurant has such terrible service.
Love this place! It is a great treat, but expensive for a regular night out
Birthday dinner for best friend of 30+ years. Waiter could have been much friendlier. For the cost of the food and the lack of other customers, a little appreciation would have been nice. We’ve been here before but definitely left thinking (and confirmed with the others in the party) that the service did NOT equal the food this time.
