   The atmosphere and ambience was perfect. We had a nice table in a secluded alcove overlooking the lake. The restaurant was quiet (no children) with nice music. The decor was also very nice with an elegant coastal theme. The service left a lot to be desired. Our waitress was not personable, friendly, or attentive. The service was also very slow and although it was Mother's Day, the restaurant was not overly crowded. The food was acceptable, but for the price, not overly impressive. The presentation was nice, but the food itself wasn't anything to brag about. I ordered the shrimp scampi and it was delicious. The other guests ordered salmon and filet mignon, which was all good, but not great for the price. The lobster bisque was very tasty. However, at $22 per bowl, the portion size was extremely small and disappointing. Lastly, there were bugs swarming our table. We found ourselves swatting knats and flies throughout the meal. I understand flies are going to be present especially when does open and close. On the other hand, knats are an indication of a bigger problem. Overall, I don't feel the value of the experience matched the prices. Our total bill was approximately $300. We did not order alcohol because they were out of Moscato and did not offer Bellinis. It's odd for an Italian restaurant to not have what are considered standard Italian beverages. My mother's Coke was never refilled, and my sister had to get up and retrieve a carry out box when the waitress failed to provide one. The cons outweighed the pros. Given this, our experience was average at best, and I would not return as there are better restaurants out there.

   Azurro offers a beautiful setting with a lovely view of the lake and a pleasant ambiance — definitely a high point of the evening. However, the food fell far short of expectations, especially considering the premium pricing. The appetizers were underwhelming and quite small for the cost. When it came to the main courses, the steaks were a letdown: the medium rare came out rare, and the medium was overcooked to the point of being charred, leaving a burnt, ashy aftertaste. The beef short rib was particularly disappointing — dry and flavorless, with a texture that reminded me of Styrofoam. For a restaurant positioned at this price point, the quality of the food should be significantly better. Unfortunately, Azurro’s kitchen didn’t deliver. Beautiful atmosphere, but not enough to make up for the poor execution on the plate.

   The service was great, they timed each course out well. The food was wonderful and a great value. Cannot wait to go again.

   We sought a relatively quiet dinner on Lake Woodlands for our young out of town guests who came for a break while stationed at Fort Hood now Fort Cavazos. While guided outside at 6:00, the table we were hoping for was reserved for guests arriving at 7:15 — why? We sat along the street in a booth on the stained and aging cushions. Disappointing start. The expanded restaurant looks beautiful. We’ll request that when we return. The service was spot on. The red snapper perfectly prepared in a broth/sauce that complemented the fish beautifully. The fried calamari came out crisp and tender. The rigatoni and sausage is consistently good. The scampi was greatly enjoyed. The squid ink rigatoni — a hit! Ambiance, food and service — the winning formula for us. We were disappointed in the ambiance.

   We came here when they newly opened. Turkish manager was working and we had a great experience. The other day , i wanted to being my mom who came from abroad and wanted nice Italian dinner. Azzurro came to my mind and i booked. Unfortunately i had the worst italian food experience ever:( the waiter and the host were kind people but i dont want to complain about the service quality but the food was horrible. They brought the wine at the end of our appetizers. As main dish they brought non fresh pasta for my mom’s order which was dry and sticky! Mine was chicken parm and i could tell it was not freshly cooked. Probably cooked earlier and waited there for a long time and they dos reheat in microwave! but slightly better condition than my mom’s dish, i was so hungry i didnt want to wait and i ate it. My wifes was raviolli, it was also unfortunatly not as fresh as its supposed to be. Than we saw our next table also compalined about their dishes which was cold and not look fresh. Kind waiter apologised and changed my mom’s dish but the fresh cooked pasta with scamps had sand probably not washed carefully:( It is sad to experience such a nice cute located restaurant quality changed bad:(

   La comida fue muy buena pero el servicio dejó mucho que desear. Dejaron de traer una copa de proseco que nunca llegó. Tuvimos que pedir el pan pues nunca lo ofrecieron. Creo que les hace falta personal
