About AZUR Restaurant & Patio
AZUR restaurant & patio was designed after European establishments providing the feel of being in a different place without leaving Lexington. The food is described as new American and Heirloom Contemporary. The chefs react to what comes at them from the local markets making our cuisine locally influenced, but worldly inspired. The walls are bold blues and greens with curves throughout. The interior space flows outside through three sets of French doors onto the elegant stone bordered brick patio. Weather permitting, the patio is opened and the patio sides could be lowered for inclement weather.

AZUR Restaurant & Patio Ratings and Reviews
This was such a great place to eat/get together with friends. Everything from the waiter to our complimentary glasses of champagne was perfect. The food was outstanding. Definitely worth the price. Compliments to the whole staff, including the great chefs. Especially “Popcorn”. Will definitely be back!
Azur is our go-to place for some of the best food in this state! We recently celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary over dinner at Azur. I did not notify any of the staff that we were celebrating that night, I didn't need to - as we're always treated in a special way there. Jeremy and the kitchen team do an absolutely phenomenal job with the food. We've traveled the world over, and I'm shocked Jeremy doesn't have a Michelin star yet!
The food was good but really pretty average. I had the burger and truffle fries and my husband had the bourbon fried chicken which was tasty but the portion of chicken was very small. What we were really disappointed about was being charged $24 for two margaritas. We have eaten at many very nice restaurants and any time we paid more than $10 for a margarita, it was because it was a specialty drink of some sort. There were no prices on the menu, the server did not tell us the price of the drink so we were very surprised when we received the bill. We will not be back.
Definitely my favorite restaurant in Lexington. They just do everything right. They have a changing menu but you can always be sure they'll have a delicious and creative chicken, steak and fish dish. They have a good deal of scratch sides that are amazing. Decent wine and beer selection. A great patio weather allowing. Unobtrusive live music. Always excellent service. This is clearly a place where great serivce is emphasized by management. A great place where you can show up in a suit or jeans and be comfortable. Perhaps a tad pricey for some but you will never be disappointed with food, service or ambiance.
My wife actually said, “Absolutely the best meal I’ve ever had”.From the crab cake appetizer, to the entrees, and the Kentucky mud pie, this meal was from the freshest ingredients possible. The service and ambiance were wonderful, too! We’ll definitely be returning!
Don’t let the unassuming outside of the restaurant fool you. This is fine dining with great service. Fit for a foodie with a creative menu for all tastes. We enjoyed the bourbon and cocktail list as well. It’s expensive, but worth it for a quiet, romantic night out.
Totally awesome. The woven shrimp was out of this world.I usually don't comment on restaurants but I drove 75 miles to eat lunch with my friend and I was not disappointed.Next time I will come for dinner because I can tell its pretty at night. The service. food was perfect at reasonable prices!
I so wish I had gone to AZUR sooner. It was absolutely, hands-down the best dining experience I have had in AGES! The wine was excellent. Our waiter as GREAT. The food was outstanding. The music was great, and they didn't even mind me singing along. I will go back often and tell everyone I know how wonderful our experience was (I already have on FB). Thank you!
I went primarily to hear the Nick Mudd Band and to treat my son and granddaughter to dinner. The music was outstanding. My guests enjoyed their dinner. Our server was attentive despite the full venue. Of all the resturants in Lexington, this will always be my favorite.
Unfortunately everything about our meal was a little bit off. We opted for a bunch of appetizers and each one lacked in some area. The sauce on the lobster crepes was weird; the pimiento cheese croquettes were cold and boring. The only item we enjoyed was the caprese salad. Even the double espresso was watery - possibly not even espresso. We also did enjoy the live jazz band. Overall though, we won't be returning.
I must admit part of my negative experience was my own fault. I neglected to ask the price for one of the specials. It was an 18oz rib eye. I was taken aback with the check came and the price was $64.00! But again that was on me. However the edible part of the stake was barely 9 oz. The rest was fat and gristle. I ordered it medium; it was not. By the rareness I would hate to imagine what a rare order would look like. Additionally the outside was blackened to a point of be burnt. The "stake sauce" that was touted tasted like it was right out of a bottle. In fact I have tasted better from a bottled sauce.
The other order was the steak medallions. It was cooked medium but the meat was dry. I could tell it could have been tasty had it not been dry.
Our waiter was cordial and attentive. He gets good marks. The food was not his fault.
On the plus side the coffee was pretty good. Chose not to try dessert.
Great spot. It has been many years since we were here last. Definitely they have upped their game. Great menu with local specials. New items pointed out by our waiter. Very friendly staff. Live music was starting up as we were leaving. Outdoor patio is really almost 3 season space.
Wow, I was so impressed with Azur restaurant. I have always wanted to go but never have until last week. We will definitely be coming back. It was so hard to pick appetizer or meals because everything looked so good. Our meals were amazing, and had very unique flavors. This is a great non-chain restaurant with a very relaxed vibe. The live music was very enjoyable, and the patio looked nice although it was raining.
Always excellent and creative menu choices. Although the restaurant stays busy for dinner, the service is always perfect. We would recommend Azure to anyone. As a side note, even though they do not have a gluten-free menu, our waiter said almost any of their entrees can be made gluten free if asked. Their patio in warm weather is a special area to also dine and a little surprise given the restaurant is in a strip mall area.
