Azur is always excellent, and tonight was no exception. Excellent meal on the patio in lovely spring weather. The pompano was fantastic.
Great food, very attentive server. Terrific experience!!
Not impressed with food. Sausage omelette some cost as shrimp and sausage. It was so so
Fabulous Easter brunch. We all ordered different entres and they were all great. Staff is very courteous and friendly.
Great menu and choices. We've always enjoyed our meals at Azur. You can sit in the dining room, or on the patio if you want a more casual experience. We'll be back the next time we are in Lexington.
Went here for my birthday and I put that in my reservation but it was not noted by the hostess or waiter. Oh well. Food was great. Service was very good. Overall a great experience and we plan to visit again.
I was very disappointed hearing that AZUR was fine dining. My meal was lukewarm and nothing to brag about. The guests liked their meals but very minimal. A salad should be included for the price of the meals at AZUR. It was very loud from other clientele than the music added more to it. Not a place to have a conversation.
We waited one full hour from the time we were seated until we were served. Terrible!! No apologies for a couple who frequented Azur on multiple occasions. However, we were offs single piece of cheesecake for our trouble. Sorry Jeremy it’s going to be a while before we return.
We went there for lunch and sat outside. It was glorious. The service was unbelievably good. Our waiter was attentive and checked in with us about 6 times. What was even better was the food. My wife had the shrimp tacos which were good. I had the salmon with tomato risotto with balsamic glaze. It was a great balance of flavors. The salmon was fresh, tasty and light. Overall our experience was far better than we expected. I wholeheartedly recommend AZUR, especially on a sunny day outside.
Excellent food & service. Reservations were for 3 and ended up with 7 and the staff accommodated us graciously. Excellent excellent service!
Sat in patio area. Good service. Really enjoyed the shrimp dish. Great presentation. Hubby had ribeye. Cooked the way he wanted but had some gristle. Server split the one salad order onto two plates.
Our second visit to AZUR was a bit disappointing compared to our first (which was very good). The service was fair and the food was not hot when served. The shrimp/scallop/langostino lobster dish was served sans lobster.
The food is always great. The live music adds to the atmosphere and the patio seating is perfect for a nice spring evening. Overall, very nice.
Our service and food was outstanding.
Food was excellent, server was first class. There was an NCAA game on (Since Duke lost, the Lexington crowd was crazy loud).
We had excellent service and food. Love the blending of flavors by the chef.
Very few words are needed except...delicious!!’
Food very good
Tables are very small so it presents a crowded situation
Great company. Great food, as always, never disappoints. One of my favorite places to have some fine dining.
Came for the first of the 2019 Champagne Brunch series. The food was fabulous. Everything was spot on, and the portions were generous.
Had us at the front table inside at the front window. Had someone playing music. Very enjoyable music, where we sat we could not hear ourselves talk.
Food was very good. Waitress had trouble keeping up with everyone. Was still enjoyable.
This was our third time there and we arranged a business dinner for out of town guests. We arrived before 6:00pm on Sunday so we got the happy hour specials on drinks and a free appetizer. We were going to choose oysters but they only come with two and we had a table of five so we chose the truffle fries. They were ok. Two of our guests were vegan and tried the cauliflower steak. They said the seasoning was good but didn't comment much more than that. Two others had the salmon and cleared their plates so it must have been delicious. I tried the fettuccini but was disappointed and wished I had gone with the salmon as well. Our last guest had the bourbon fried chicken on a bed of mashed potatoes and said it was moist but you couldn't taste any bourbon. The highlight of the meal was dessert. The peach cobbler and banana bourbon pudding were both wonderful.
Always good, it’s in our rotation for good reason!
Bartender was great. Salmon with goat cheese risotto was amazing! Enjoyed half the next day for lunch and it was just as great as the night before!
And because it takes more than 50 characters to write this review....
In some of my earliest memories I remembered dreaming of nights out with my future wife. I pictured sitting at table with her in a crowded room with a guitarist playing music to what was then top ten hits on Casey Kasem top 40. With a delicious meal layed out before us and love in the air. My only regret is that it has taken me 38 years to find this place that dreams are made of. If only I knew.
I would like to send many thanks to the staff at Azur for making my dreams come true.
Most everything about this experience was lovely, delicious and served well. The live music was just right; without it, the room noise would have been overbearing to anyone with sensory issues.
I would recommend it for a special occasion, which is what we went for. I won't likely be back as it is out of my typical price range. For the "neighborhood" to which they cater, I guess prices are appropriate.
Always a great meal and Doug is awesome!!
Lovely evening. Salad, dinner, dessert, wine, port and music....all very good. Perfect for our belated Valentines dinner date.
One of my favorite things about my neighborhood is that this restaurant is in it! It has a fantastic happy hour (1/2 price glasses of wine and select free appetizers), the wait staff is top notch and, most importantly, the food never disappoints! On my last two visits I had salmon, prepared differently each time, and on both occasions I ate every last bite. At a table of 4, we all had a different dish and each looked outstanding and all plates were clean at the end of the night. Another thing I love about this restaurant is the live music on the weekends. The song selection is very well curated and the volume is never overbearing. I highly recommend this local treasure!
We are from Chicago which has great restaurants. AZUR was excellent by all standards.
I have eaten at Azur many times over the years and found the experience to be mostly consistent. We were seated promptly, although the restaurant was only half full at 6:30 on a Friday night, and greeted promptly by our server, who took our drink orders. I have found the service at Azur to be uneven at times, but this night our server (sorry I can't remember her name now!) was excellent: very solicitous, informed and professional. We passed on the appetizers because we knew our entree portions would be generous. My dining partner and I shared the Warm Brussels Sprout Slaw, which arrived at the table already divided between two plates. It was excellent and the half portion was just enough. My friend ordered the Sea Grits, which arrived in a deep bowl, which she scraped clean and raved about. Her only negative comment was that the shrimp still had part of the shell and tail left on, which made it tricky to eat. She mentioned this to our server, who commented that other diners had complained about the same thing and that she had passed the comments on to the chef. I find that the Azur chef sometimes takes his preparation and saucing a step too far and "fancies up" a dish to the point that the combination of sauces, garnishes and toppings can overwhelm with too many competing flavors. I choose the pan roasted halibut, which was perfectly cooked and served, not with the mango salsa, etc. indicated on the menu, but a less-sweet pan sauce. Excellent! NOW, the biggest (and continuing) complaint about the Azur experience. The dining room is not large and spartanly furnished; no carpets, curtains or fabrics to absorb/soften noise. In spite of this, Azur continues to have live music (a duo) right in the dining room on the weekends. The music was distracting and so annoying! We were seated in the middle of the room and couldn't talk across the table when they were playing. I can't imagine how the tables right next to the singers could have enjoyed their meals!
We had the $5 burger and $5 bourbon. It was amazing and a great deal. Mondays at Azur is now a must!
Food, service, atmosphere...everything is always great at Azur.
Great experience as always.
Food was outstanding. Chef came out to greet guests which was a nice touch. Will return for special occasions.
We went there for Valintine's Day and it was a great experience. The food and service were great! Looking forward to going back again.
