Azúcar Cuban Cuisine features the traditional flavors and nightlife of Cuba
Our authentic menu was designed by Executive Chef Nick Vazquez, who employs the cooking techniques and skills he learned from his mother. His daughter Lauren doubles as owner/GM and head mixologist, overseeing the mix of Cuban-inspired cocktails, wine and beer selection.

The interior for both the main dining room and bar/lounge — designed to send diners on a “tropical getaway” — is decorated with many cultural Cuban items and flourishes. Live music and dancing take place on the weekends, while the private dining room is available for both family celebrations and corporate events alike.

5 stars for food, ambiance, and service. Traditional drinks -NO. I chose this specifically for a mojito and got a lime flavored carbonated drink with a sugar cane stick. Great touristy drinks. Members in my party ordered more Americanized Cuban drinks and enjoyed them. If your looking for traditional mojitos this is not it.

We knew azucar from 15 years ago, in the Edgewater location. Came back to this new location, verified that its the same owners - and got excited. It used to be good, but not anymore...the food was just ok, and a bit overpriced. Portions are huge - it seems they go for quantity, but not quality. We took huge leftovers home but did not eat them after all. Service was poor - the guy serving us seemed ok, but then he dropped the ball after the first 5 min. He did not know the menu, did not clean the table at all after appetizers. Then dropped the packed leftovers in the middle of the table, in a black plastic bag - and then gave us dessert menus. With the leftovers in a bag on the dirty table...That's when we just checked out. Paid $115 for 2 main courses, 2 appetizers. No desserts. No drinks. You decide if its worth it for you....(and! - they have a TV in every corner, and it only shows the 1 thing - chef-owner and his date with Bobby Flay. Over and over and over....The food sucked, so not worth the show off)

Wonderful experience as always. Came here for my fathers and sons birthday with the family and everything was perfect. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. The food was fantastic. Everything was perfect!!

I enjoyed my shrimp dish very much, but was upset to see 6 shrimp and a scoop of rice for $28!!!!!! If I wanted to choose vegetables and rice there was an additional charge!!!!! The Cuban sandwich my husband got was twice the size of my dish, he took half home!!!

The service was wonderful. The entire staff was outgoing and welcoming. The restaurant is well decorated. The food was well presented and everything was delicious. We can't wait to go back!

It was a fairly mellow Saturday night dinner with friends. The music was loud and lively in the bar but not the dining room. We shared the plaintain cups with shrimp and the chorizo for the appetizers. Ropa Vieja, pork shoulder, chicken and a Cubano were our main courses with sides of tostones, yuca fríes, frijoles/arroz and plantain chips. It was all really flavorful, served steaming hot and the portions were perfect. Our server was lovely and neither rushed us nor made us wait too long. The mojitos and tres leches and flan didn’t disappoint either!! While I’m not rushing back to dine there, it was a great experience and i would go again with friends who crave Cuban food!
