We are open for indoor and outdoor reservations, please be aware of what table you are booking, we may not be able to make last minute changes once you arrive as seating is limited.
Dogs are allowed on the patios.
Azu Restaurant Menu is inspired by Southern California’s long history with Mexico and Spain. We combine local flavors with fresh product to create a comfortable gathering atmosphere for tourists and locals alike.
Ojai Valley Brewery Artisanal Beer made down the street and served at Azu. We are using local chaparral herbs flowers, fruits, and spices sourced from our local Ojai farms that blend together to create a uniquely Ojai flavor.
We want to assure all of our customers that we are taking extra measures to provide a safe, clean and relaxing space for you. We are sanitizing all surfaces regularly. We are encouraging our guests, to use Scan to Pay on our receipts instead of credit cards or cash.

When we arrived the hostess was going to sit us out front. I requested the back patio and our wish was accommodated. Very nice spot. Server was great. Beer was unusual but good. I had the dark lager. My wife had a lighter color lager. We ordered the arugula/fig salad which was excellent though over dressed for our tastes. That’s on me - should have requested light dressing. I had the carnitas which was excellent. My wife had the short rib which was also quite good. We paired with a bottle of local red wine. Great place, great ambiance and solid food.

I don’t feel that the food is worth the price anymore. A hamburger started at $17 with bacon and cheese being extra I paid $19 or $20 and no sides were included, it was ala carte. I know restaurants are hurting, but having to pay an extra $6 for fries is not acceptable when they used to come with the burger. Outside seating was loud and service was average. Will be excit d to see what the restaurant becomes with the new ownership.

The restaurant was fine, but they had no record of us reserving through Open Table when we arrived. So, that was an awkward start to our evening.

Good food but shocked by the prices. I hear everything is going up, but we will not be back often. Selection seems to have decreased. Love the carnitas, relleno, caesar w chicken. Nice setting on the patio.

I had celebrated 33rd wedding anniversary in Ojai. It was our first time coming to Ojai as well. Great food, great drinks we had a really great time with family. Only downside was that menu got changed so no more steak was available. The restaurant gets full house, each table was taken so fast between 6:30-7:30pm so try to book around 6pm. They have great patio seating in the back so reserve for patio! We’ll come back again.

Out of two of their of their five entrees and one of their appetizers. It took forever to get our food. The carnitas were very average. Poor service due to being understaffed. It was not a good experience!!
