Azabu Miami Beach
**Reservations for the Omakase sushi counter, The Den are taken by phone or Azabu Miami Beach website.
Azabu Miami Beach is Japanese concept where guests can enjoy an intimate dining experience. Originating in NYC, as Sushi Azabu in Tribeca, the Azabu brand has been awarded a Michelin Star for six consecutive years and is now excited to bring its culinary expertise to the heart of vibrant Miami Beach in the South of Fifth neighborhood. The Miami restaurant will be composed of two Japanese culinary concepts – the main dining being a robata concept and the hidden room in the back called 'The Den' which will be a 16-seat counter serving only authentic Japanese sushi.
The menu will feature innovative dishes curated especially for Miami by using exclusively sourced ingredients. The hidden sushi room will feature authentic sushi in Omakase style, where sushi chefs will guide guests through a true experience.
Good place to eat.
This was our 6th or 7th time @ our mostest favorite restaurant in Miami - The Den for omakase. The quality of the fish, the preparations, the sushi chefs, the waitstaff, the sake sommelier, everything is superb. The sushi chefs never skip a beat - everything is spot on. As soon as we leave, we plan the next visit.
Honeymoon. Very nice, relaxing, delicious food.
This was my second visit to the omakase den in the back and 3rd trip to the restaurant .. it’s incredible. We had omakase and tuna tastings plus some same flights. This is the best! And we love chef shingo too!
Service- our waiter was very good. Attentive, knew the menu very well. Made the experience.
The ambience was great. Low noise level which was nice since we were there for a business dinner/meeting.
Food- being chosen as best of 2018 we were expecting great food.. not on my top 10 for sushi.. would not recommend. Maybe it’s a “Miami” thing...
We live one block away. We have visited a half-dozen times. Why is it that the hostesses of this place always treat us like we are the least desirable customers around? We had a reservation at 7pm, and the place was entirely empty. They showed us, as they usually do, to the worst possible table. We balked, and they acted like all the other tables were committed to other people. Finally we got a better table, not the one we had pointed to, but not too bad. My wife asked to see the Miami Spice menu, the response was "I have to ask the manager". We didn't insist, they never brought it. We ordered from the regular menu. The food was good, we ended up spending over $350 for two. It was not THAT good. Next time we will insist on Miami Spice. See you next year. Toni's sushi bar is not that far away...
Not sure what the fuzz is about. Average food, service, ambiance and location. Nothing extraordinary. Even noted in reservation that it was a special occasion, Anniversary Dinner and they did not acknowledge or celebrate as other restaurants do.
Service was not good- items came out very late and cold. Food was ok.
We had a lovely dining experience at Azabu! We decided to try Azabu’s Miami Spice menu and it did not disappoint- in addition to the 3 delicious courses they had an amuse Boucher and a side dish choice for the entree. All were incredible and inventive. AND the service was prompt, friendly and professional. We are looking forward to returning to try more of their menu.
AMAZING! everything was amazing from Manager to our servers and the chefs... everyone best Japanese, real Japanese. in Miami and I am looking forward to my return!
Food is good and original. Good quality/ price ratio
Unfortunately nothing to talk about ! I had high expectations but everything was very disappointing ,from service to food .
I will not recommend this restaurant
My second visit and this restaurant doesnt disappoint. Excellent service and care starting with the hostess, Galiya, to our server ,Greg and manager Mia. We were a group of 4 friends in a girls' night out for fine dining and Azabu was my choice. Everyone was very pleased with food and drinks ordered. Thanks to the staff for taking such great care of us.
We ordered grilled branzino, salmon, the roasted brussel sprouts and the coconut panna cota dessert. Fabulous!
Petit endroit zen avec un bon service! Les sushis sont bons , le reste l’était moins
Donc allez y pour les sushis
La prossima volta
Great restaurant! Excellent meal! They are warm and welcoming to all customers (knife and fork users included)!
The service was friendly, warm and professional. The food was spectacular and perfectly timed. Standout items hamachi, foi gras, wagyu and pork on The Miami Spice.menu.
The service was exceptional. The food was good but not great. I would come back to try different dishes.
Bryan at the bar was amazing
Food Amazing! Employees Exceptional! Price Great! Drinks Outstanding! Atmosphere Lovely.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍best japanese restrant in miami
Amazing! One of the top Japanese restaurants in America. As good as the top restaurants in Tokyo. I am happy it’s here!
Absolutely amazing food and service!! It is not just a meal it is an experience. Ask for Scott he treated my husband and I so well and we will definitely come back and recommend Azabu to all of our friends. Get the Baked Crab Roll... do it.
The food was great the sake was great. The chefs were super friendly and being a sushi chef from Boston,it was fun to talk sushi with the chefs! When I’m back in Miami,I will definitely come back! Thanks again!
Overpriced. Service is great but management is awful. Continuously have issues with them. Food is good but can get better elsewhere
Unbelievable. Fantastic. One of a kind. Unforgettable. Best food my husband and I had in a long long time!!
had an incredible experience at the den, loved every morsel
We tried a variety of items on the menu and everything was top notch to include the service. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. We will definitely return. A truly enjoyable experience.
Great service, intimate, and friendly!!
The Food and Service were excellent.
Fabulous birthday dinner. Very romantic and excellent food and service
The sushi making event was excellent. The sushi was special as always, and Shingo took great care of us. This was our 3rd time visiting Azabu, and we will definitely be back. One of our favorite restaurants in Miami.
The food was really bad. Oysters did not taste good, tuna pizza was soggy and lacking flavor but the worst part was THERE WAS HAIR INSIDE THE PIZZA. I had to take it out of my mouth... disgusting. The manager apologized and later told me she took the pizza off the check.... not the right thing to do, she should have offered to write off the check from the beginning. Only after I complained to her she said ok I won’t charge you. Terrible food, terrible service. This restaurant has the prices of places like Makoto, Zuma, Nobu but sadly they are not up to par. Will not return and will not recommend it.
La comida deliciosa y el servicio muy bueno . Además de qué pasamos a la mesa muy puntuales
The omakase is bank breaking but worth every penny. We decided it would be a once in a while celebratory dinner spot. Phenomenally fresh fish in a beautiful setting. It made me immediately homesick for Japan.
The sushi rice was very vinegary. Was very disappointed given the price points.
There are no words to describe our dining experience. The first time that we dined at this restaurant was Thanksgiving Day. We desired a non traditional Thanksgiving Dinner, and being sushi lovers, we chose Azabu. That evening we sat outside on their patio and had a fabulous, well prepared candlelit meal with excellent service and very high quality fish. We were overjoyed that we found a Japanese restaurant that was on par with several that we have dined at during our trip to Japan.
So, having remembered our great meal, it was an easy decision of where to go to celebrate a very special family occasion. However, this time we made a reservation for “The Den” , the special omakase room hidden in the back of the restaurant. The fish was flown in directly from Japan and prepared by one of the best sushi chefs that I have ever experienced. The 12 course dinner was elegantly served with each piece of fish tasting as if it had just been caught. I will never forget this dinner and hope that I will be able to return soon. I believe that the meal was well worth the fare and if you close your eyes, you will think that you are dining in Japan. This restaurant is definitely at the top of my list of top 10 favorites.
Although food items are served as it is prepared the main course took an hour. We canceled the main course as it was an hour after we had ordered it. The waitress and manager were not caring.
First time in regular restaurant, not The Den. Shishito peppers with bonito flakes, seaweed salad and miso eggplant outstanding. Eel avocado roll even better. Service is friendly and professional. Great sake list. Why not 5 stars? The red snapper from the robata was average. An open kitchen means you can see the chefs working. And then, Japan is suddenly very far away... the one chef we were observing was absolutely not interested in what he was doing. Overcooked one piece of fish, into the garbage. Dropped the next piece on to the floor, into the garbage. In between turning the fishes on the robata, walking away, chatting, instead of paying attention to the food. Our fish tasted average and I know exactly why. At the end, some squeezing whether it is cooked enough, a quick blowtorch and that’s that. In my favorite robatayaki in Osaka, somebody like this wouldn’t last 5 minutes.
