Azabu Miami Beach is Japanese concept where guests can enjoy an intimate dining experience. Originating in NYC, as Sushi Azabu in Tribeca, the Azabu brand has been awarded a Michelin Star for six consecutive years and is now excited to bring its culinary expertise to the heart of vibrant Miami Beach in the South of Fifth neighborhood. The Miami restaurant will be composed of two Japanese culinary concepts – the main dining being a robata concept and the hidden room in the back called 'The Den' serving only authentic Japanese sushi.
The menu will feature innovative dishes curated especially for Miami by using exclusively sourced ingredients. The hidden sushi room will feature authentic sushi in Omakase style, where sushi chefs will guide guests through a true experience.

El peor SERVICIO DE MI VIDA, los precios una cosa muy muy exageradamente cara, la comida no lo vale, un asco de lugar!!! NO VAYAN NUNCA
We love coming here during the wk when it’s quite, but the service this particular wknd night was poor due to lack of staff. The single bartender did a great job keeping up with the entire dining room by himself, and with no bar back. The server did the same with only one busser for the entire floor. The food was great as always, and no issues. Great product, but ownership needs to go to the end of earth to provide FOH staff so the customer experience won’t be so dismal! We will absolutely be back, but during the wk.
Excellent experience as usual. This is the best traditional Japanese restaurant in Miami. Much better than the fusion places around town that tend to rely too much on sauces and sugar instead of the quality of the ingredients!
Perfect spot, high quality
Went for Valentine’s Day. Food was delicious and ambiance was spectacular! Definitely recommend !
Sushi delicious, but fish not okay. Atmosphere not special, but great service and servers.
The food was amazing, service left nothing to be desired. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Price was typical for the area.
The food here is outstanding but the service is terrible. We would have ordered a lot more food and drinks if someone checked on us more often. It’s a really nice place and they could do so much better if they paid attention to their customers.
Average experience. Place has no soul, sushi and food were just ok.
Great food and wonderful service
Great meal
Prefix NYE menu was very interesting, food quality was excellent but service was terrible. 45 minute wait to even get water and a waiter. This was followed by reversing the order of the whole prefix and at times bringing 4 dishes at once. I expect this is not their level of service and was likely due to various delays in previous reservations, ours was at 9:15 on New Years Eve. Azabu did comp. many of our drinks and gave us a 20% discount on the bill as they saw the experience was not acceptable. One of the managers did state that our steak was perfectly medium when our waiter and others agreed that is was rare to mid rare which was quite annoying. Anyway, not the best experience for NYE at least.
Great Omakase. Would recommend to all of my friends
One of the best sushi spots I have ever been too. The food and its presentation were flawless. Kudos to the Chef.
Probably the worst customer service that I have ever had in Miami. I went to Sushi Azabu because I have been frequenting the one in NYC for years and was friendly with Victor and Hiro, that ran the joint in Tribeca. This is a weak excuse for a sister restaurant. I understand that they are under new management since 2019, and it shows.
I had dined in Azabu in Miami a week earlier with a chef friend of mine, and we both found the sushi to be unremarkable and bland but enjoyed the setting. When I told this to another friend, the head concierge at one of Miami’s best hotels, he was curious, and we decided to stop in for a quite early bite for him to try it out before going out to a more formal dinner later in the evening. We decided to try the sunset prix fixe menu because it seemed like a good deal and we were going to eat another dinner later. The sunset menu ended at 7 PM, and we got to the restaurant at exactly 6:55 PM. After waiting about 10 minutes for someone to greet us at the host table, Pablo, the manager came to us at 7:05 PM and when we asked for the sunset menu, he said that it was 7:15 PM (it was 7:05 PM, I checked) and essentially lied and said he could not accommodate us. Not wanting to make a big deal, we decided to go eat anyway.
When the waiter came to take our order, my concierge friend casually remarked how it was surprising that they were being a stickler for the rules especially when the place was empty. The waiter said he would ask the manager again. Pablo came out and started screaming at us and called us “stupid” and “cheap” and that “didn’t we get the point?” the first time. We were extremely shocked, and I indicated I would vote with my feet and pay for the bottle of water we were in the process of consuming and make sure to reflect the extremely poor customer service in a review. Pablo started calling us names and we left.
Save yourself some heartache, there are plenty of better sushi places in Miami.
good food but not big deal, great service good atmosphere
Outstanding food! Great nigiri and lobster tempura! Amazing service!
Azabu never fails to disappoint. Great food, service, and value for the price. The sunset menu which is featured everyday from 6-7 is a great way to check out the place without breaking the bank.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Slow service; sushi was okay, but not good or great...same thing you could get in any small dive sushi joint.
Social Distancing in force. Excellent food presentation and preparation. Very attentive service. We sat outside on the deck and had a very romantic anniversary dinner ending with a surprise Taiyaki ice cream dessert.
Extremely expensive for the quality. The charge $30 for wasabi
Great food! Great location! One of our favorites spots in Miami Beach and one of the best in quality.
Best sushi in Miami
Fabulous. Loved the eclectic Spice menu that included an excellent sushi/sashimi option (extra $ but worth it - they know how to make it right) so u get best of both worlds. Excellent service from Gregory. I don’t typically post reviews or have had great Spice experiences but this one was amazing!
Spectacular is the best way to describe everything about this restaurant. It has become my favorite restaurant in Miami after only two dinners. The food is excellent is the service is 12/10. I highly recommend the yellowtail collar and everything on the menu is on point.
Love our meal. Never disappoint whenever we dinn there.
Outstanding dinning experience/ best Japanese cuisine in town- never ceases to amaze!
Great service, great atmosphere, outstanding food
Enjoyable ambiance, good food
Excellent food, their sashimi highly recommended. Loved their saki flight concept.
Great service, but our overworked waiter could use another staff person. We ate outside and enjoyed it, but the furnishings and decor are in need of upgrading.
The outdoor seating was not great as I expected, but the food was DELICIOUS and really well presented. The service was also great!
Service was good but the QUALITY OF THE FOOD was NOT worth it. OVERPRICED!!
I have been here multiple times, and this was the worst visit by far. Not happy with the food. Was not as fresh as in the past. Service was also not great. Lot’s of interruptions by wait staff and worst of all, when the check came, they did not inform me that the tip was already automatically added to the bill. I almost tipped 38% as a result. Not a good experience to pay $175 for a couple glasses of wine and some sashimi plus appetizer. Next time I have a business Dinner I will take it somewhere else.... only redeeming features: quiet atmosphere and easy to get a table.
I had very high expectations for Azabu based on their pedigree and New York reputation. Although it was good, it was not up to the level of a Nobu, Zuma, Kuro, Mila, Mikoto, Novikov. You will have a better meal at any of those.
Wonderful and comfortable atmosphere. Food was spectacular! Loved the Miami Spice menus.
Everyone was so very nice to us. The hospitality is top notch.
Oh and the food, the food!!!!
Always consistently great and delicious
Food was great
Service was great
Shocked that on a Sunday night they didn’t have good quality gin
Horrific
Terrible ambience
Mundane food
Average service
Exorbitant prices
Will never be back
Food was outstanding but the service didn’t match the overall quality. Very slow, from the moment we sat and waited 10-15 minutes for a drink to the limited attention, waters not filled and food was very slow to come out. The great food made up for the lack of service.
The miami spice menu was terrible. The fish was frozen and the meat was old.
In my opinion this restaurant is overrated.
I do love going to restaurants and love the whole experience. When I say is overrated I'm taking in consideration all aspects. 1- ambiance was just okay... not anything you would say wow, what an outdoor place. Very little decor. 2- food, was nicely presented but nothing I would say "that was delicious". Nigiri and sashimi very standard. The braised Cod was probably the best thing we ordered. It was very moist and the sauce was delicate.
Maybe it wasn't their best day. But I don't really want to give it another try. Don't get me wrong... the it is an average restaurant not bad... but not great either.
