AYZA Wine & Chocolate Bar

I was in town visiting with my Mom to celebrate her birthday for the weekend, and this place was amazing! Samantha was our server, who was so friendly, attentive, and made the experience so much more special for us. The charcuterie, wine, and chocolate desserts (especially the chocolate martini) were all beyond expectations. We will definitely visit again the next time we come to NYC!

Loved our lunch here. The 12,95 lunch was delicious and filling..a really good value!. They gave me a free glass of prosecco for my birthday. And crepe creme brulee cake was awesome!!!

We had lots of fun sharing small plates and a cheese plate. Everything was delicious! LOVE your chocolate martinis. Best I have had in awhile with the luscious chocolate shavings on top. I am a return customer and will continue visiting. Only downside is the space is over cluttered with tables in my opinion. Hard to get out to use the restroom without bumping the next table. A bit claustrophobic feeling. But otherwise enjoyed.

Love this place! I've been here many times and always try something different. Amazing wine selection and even better staff. Everyone is super attentive and friendly.

We were there to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Once seated she was immediately treated with a glass of Champaign, and we each were given a sampling of hot mulled wine for the holiday season - a very special treat! We ordered two appetizers from the late selection of unique preparations. We chose the deep fried avocado sticks that were served with two delicious sauces, and a hot baked artichoke and spinach dip served with fresh tortilla chips. Although the entire selections are rather limited, we chose the filet mignon that was prepare well to our liking. For our dessert we chose a delectable multi-layered flakey pastry with a scrumptious creamy custard filling. We also had an awesome chocolate raspberry martini - a house specialty that was so delicious that it alone made our visit here most memorable! It was also served with one of their homemade chocolates. This restaurant is small and all inside tables are high tops. if you choose to eat outside in an enclosed sheltered and warmed patio area during the colder months, those tables are more traditional.
We strongly recommend AYZA for its unique menu offerings and great service and attention to detail.

This is a go-to restaurant for me, as well as my family when they're in town. Food and drinks were delicious as always, but the service this time was pretty disappointing. We had an early dinner in order to make an evening show, and even though there were just two other couples in the restaurant (and we were a party of 3), we felt virtually ignored. We had to ask multiple times just to order entrees. They never asked us if we wanted drinks, and we had to remind them to clear the older, empty dishes. Our food took a very long time to arrive, when we asked about ETA they blamed us for ordering large dishes, and when the food came out it was room temperature. We've ordered all of these plates before, even when the place was busy, and had no problems. We raised these issues and were offered a free dessert at the end, which of course we couldn't accept because we needed to leave for the show. The manager discounted our bill somewhat, which I appreciate but I'd gladly pay full price for the quality service we used to receive.

Came here for appetizers before a show. Offered delicious warm mulled wine as we were seated. Nice touch on a cold evening. Had tasty chicken lollipops, spinach and artichoke dip, avacado fries, and mushroom pizza. Everything was great. Meal accompanied with nice Chilian wine, Chocolate infused wine, and their mulled wine. Third time hear and it didn’t disappoint.

This venue was amazing and accommodating. Both our waitresses were attentive and engaging. We will be back!

Great food. Service was really disappointing. The evening started with the hostess pushing us (literally) as he was running out the door. Then some of the food came out but not everyone’s. I had to go to the bathroom to get the waiters attention. Very disappointed.

Great place for sharing a variety of small plates with others. The waitstaff and kitchen were very accommodating of my sister's gluten allergy and all of the food was fantastic. My only complaint is that there is only one restroom to serve the entire restaurant, so there was a very long wait.

A very pleasant surprise! The drinks and food were great. Service was great and our server was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations. We will be back with a larger party.

Nice spot. Our second time there. Great spot for a light lunch, or a post-theater drink. Desserts are excellent.

The food was mostly good. I would not recommend the angry chicken lollipops. The meat was dry and chewy and hard to eat. The tables were also way too small to enjoy dinner. Silverware kept falling off table and we felt terribly cramped. Not a enjoyable dinner experience at all.

I absolutely love this restaurant! Ayza is the perfect place for a date. Everything was decadent and a great value for the quality, service, and location. The chocolate martinis are probably my favorite drink in New York City. This was my third time returning to Ayza and I will be back for many more amazing meals!

Would like to see some true vegan offerings on the menu. Vegetarian food has a lot more fat.

I had a fantastic experience. Went on a brisk Monday night for my Girlfriends birthday. We were seated outdoors which is much nicer than indoors. Although it was cold outside the seating area was warm because there were overhead heaters. There was also live music which was a pleasant surprise being that it was a Monday night. I wrote a message on my reservation stating that it was my gf’s bday. The host put Rosé petals on our table before we were seated. In addition the waitress gave my gf a free glass of Prosecco. For drinks we have the chocolate martinis. They were so delicious! We had the raspberry and peppermint. Both were amazing. I also had the melon Moscow mule which was unique take on a classic. The drink smelled amazing and was great. For food we had the crispy baby shrimp dumplings (delicious), white truffle pizza (pretty good but it’s basically pita bread with cheese). Entrees were mushroom ravioli (amazing!) and the filet mignon. Dessert we got the dark chocolate fondue. It was fantastic. They brought it out with a sparkler too. The only con was food/drinks were a bit pricey. But with service like that I’m not complaining! Aside from that it was a wonderful overall experience. Service was spectacular, ambiance was beautiful and food/drinks were delicious.

Great food great value but slow service and only one bathroom!

We had a reservation, but apparently, they were overbooked and so we sat at the bar. But, it was awesome because the bartenders were great! We ate our dinner there and really had a great time. Dragana was the girl bartender and she was really wonderful. Her male co-bartender was amazing as well. Our service was extremely high level! It was a really enjoyable experience! We are just visiting NYC, but when we come back we would love to visit again. Thanks so much. :)

We had a 7pm reservation on a Friday October night and was packed. We got there on time and had to wait 10 minutes for our table outside which was heated (which felt rather warm after a while). We got 2 of our appetizers rather quickly and the last one (a soup) took a little while to arrive. After we got done with our appetizers, 2 different waiters came by to ask us if we were having more food which we found curious since they could easily check our order to see that we had entrees ordered. We later ordered dessert and overall the food was good, though not out of this world. The noise level was very high but overall a fine dining experience in NYC.

Food was great! I’m sorry to say that I read about reviews regarding the service before we went and the reviews were spot on. The service was awful our server had no personality and was extremely rude but the food was good and the chocolate was good and the wine was good. His name was Jim. Rude server.

Went here after a lite meal for wine, charcuterie and dessert. All were delicious and I don’t have anything negative to say. I have been there before and was very happy during that visit also.

Accommodating staff, amazing food!

Great food and service, though it’s small it wasn’t overcrowded. Good noise level for conversation. For what we got I think it was well priced.

Very affordable and very tasty meal. This place has become one of our favorites in NYC. I’m yet to try their wine and chocolate selection but their lunch combos are the best value in Manhattan. Simple ingredients work well together is their toast, pizzas, etc. They also have very good soups and bring fresh bread with ricotta. Service is always friendly and knowledgeable. Most of us are well traveled and are kind off spoiled by Michelin stared restaurants and exotics but this place has this universally appealing quality that makes us return every time we are trying to decide between...Korean or French or Mexican or... for whatever reason this place is an overall winner!

Great food and a fun time. Fantastic selection of cheese, cured meats and chocolate.
