I understand that dim lighting is supposed to set the mood, and be romantic. However, there’s a difference between dimly lit, and dark. Food was just okay, lamb chops were too tough to eat. Dessert was nothing extraordinary. Service was good. Overall, it was just an okay experience, I wouldn’t go back.
Service was amazing from start to finish. Truly superb and kind. The food was great and the drinks were fantastic. The fondue sent out for desert was spot on!!!! THANK YOU !
Food was delicious, the drinks were great and the price was fair. Our waiter and host were awesome. I didn't rare an overall 5 star because the seating is tight where I sat on the inside along the bar. Other than that, I will be returning. They also honored my voucher for my free martini I won during a contest they had on Instagram!
Good for sharing apps and dessert.
I can understand pre-fix menus for busy night such as Valentines, but you should at least allow customers to view the menu ahead of time. You should also mention that drinks are not included (at least I didn't see it online.) Also we were only allowed to order our steak cooked medium since that was how the chef wanted to make it. The waitress was very nice though she took forever to take our order. (It may be bbecause it was V-day) The food was good but the lack of consideration to the customers left more to be desired. I would recommend the place but not on Valentines Day or any holiday.
It was an ideal place for Valentine's Day, ambiance was right-on. They had a limited but quite delicious price-fixed menu. I will say, even though it was Valentine's Day and a little bit higher prices was expected, this was easily one of the most expensive meals I've had in NY. Dinner for two, with one glass of wine each, was over $250.00! But if that's your thing, definitely give it a try.
Food was underwhelming for the prices
Two of us ordered salmon and it was a bit dry.
Went to New Year Eve- I was disappointed in the food. We got the Salmon which was terrible and not flavorful and very bland. While we were still having dinner they brought out dessert, which consisted of ice cream. By the time we finished eating the ice cream had melted. Not sure if this was a push to get people out of the restaurant for NYE but would have appreciated more thoughtfulness. Wouldn’t go back.
Had been here before and really enjoyed my time and when I found out they had a NYE prix fixe I was pretty excited to try it, something about sitting outside (though covered) is really nice - even in the middle of a monsoon. The service was pretty upsetting especially for NYE with 20% gratuity automatically included. My server never checked on us, never asked if things were okay or to offer another glass of wine. On top of that all our courses were served without cutlery - so we couldn’t enjoy our food warm, I had to wiggle may way through the limited walking space (in heels) to ask for cutlery so we could eat both our apps and main. Pretty disappointing as I’m sure the soup was much better when hot!!!!
It's a bit pricey for a group of ppl. But that raspberry chocolate martini was to die for. Chocolate wine was great too.
My husband and I came here on a Thursday night for a date night and we loved this place. We had a cheese plate to start off and then we finished with a wine chocolate pairing. Highly recommend going for a date night or with friends. Service could have been a tad more attentive
Sat in heated patio. Shared small plates and a panini as well as beef skewers amongst the four of us. Food was good - enjoyed the tomato cheddar soup the most! Oh and the Belgian chocolate covered strawberries!!
I had such a wonderful time! The food was great and the peppermint martini was to die for ! I would come back and recommend friends to come.
Ayza was a nice spot. Cozy and certain food was pretty good although I would recommend for a couple not a large group.
Bad service - waited over 30 minutes to order and then another 45 minutes for the check. Molten cake was average. Wine was good!
Always a great experience when we go here. They have the best expresso martinis around.
Reunion with out of town friend visiting.
The food and drinks where amazing. Our server was great very attentive.
Meh. It’s just ok. Nothing distinguishing about the food, the atmosphere was fine, nothing special, the service was fine. Your basic 3 star dining experience in the city.
Always a great experience! Food and drinks are always great!
The experience was phenomenal. The service was spectacular. It was a very cozy setting and the staff was nothing short of delightful. The place was very busy but with very efficient servers. We will definitely be coming back!
The food was delicious! It was a little loud for the occasion but we were happy with the energy. Our server was super nice and the service was very quick (once the people next to us demanded service because it took too long). Super happy !
Had a preshow dinner and drinks here for the first time although everyone in my office talks about how great it is. After visiting, I couldn't agree more. Staff was super friendly and genuinely nice. Menu has something for everyone and the happy hour pricing is a nice added value. Definitely need a reservation because the place is tiny. Can't wait to go back.
The service was great! The indoor seating is small, but very nice ambiance. I had a group of 7 and they were very accommodating for us! They also have an outside area that they use plastic covering to keep warm in the winter. I preferred to be seated inside, but the outdoor area doesn't seem bad. Food was good, but go there for the inventive and delicious cocktails!
While the food was good it was served with a side of a few stands of hair (smh). He silverware was dirty and we were given complimentary chocolate coated strawberries which had small webs on the strawberries, which were clearly not washed before coating with chocolate.
Awesome experience. Food was fantastic as expected. Highly recommend this place. Allow for lots of time to soak everything in. Don't go if you are in a rush you need 2 hours.
My party and I really had a blast! What a great time!
Amazing chocolate martinis :)
The entire staff was extremely polite and very accommodating.
I really have no complaints, just one tiny suggestion, more dinner options, but what we all ate was delic!
All the food was amazing! Seating is very tight, but adds to the coziness of the place!
A group of 7 of us had brunch on Sunday and it was just wonderful! We had a corner area, very quiet, great service and some of the best value for your money that I've experienced in New York!
I have read reviews in which people complained about being seated in the tented outdoor area rather than inside - we reserved way upfront but did not expect to be able to pick our spot as they alert you to this on their webpage. We were seated outside of the bar area, it was definitely not cold, quite the opposite - too warm with the heaters (even sitting in a t-shirt). I wouldn't mind the outside seats if it wasn't for masses of people flowing in and waiting in between of the tables, the waiters having to squeeze through the crowd and constantly bumping into my seat. Once the evening frenzy passed, the ambience became much more pleasant. The food was delicious, in the end we just combined 5 starters for two and it was more than enough. We had the best chocolate Martini I had ever tasted and we got it at a great price right at the end of the happy hour. The absolute highlight was the service, very friendly and smiling and made our evening really. Great recommendations as well. Thank you!
The restaurant does not only have great food and great service but is also very accomatable in the winter given that their main space is outside.
I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was! The mulled wine is delicious! It’s a great girl hang! You can sit outside in the cozy warm enclosed. Close to Hearld Square. We had excellent service. Would gladly go back again!
Stopped in for happy hour b-day drinks. Prompt, friendly service and quality cocktails and wines made my experience. Would gladly return!
Love this place!!!
My wife and I have walked by the restaurant for several years. Finally we went there for after dinner dessert. The dessert choices were plenty but they were so so.
Decent place but I think there are other places that are better.
Great place, great food and wine. A little tight inside but it is all worth the time, pricing wasn’t expensive either. Very great atmosphere. Would go again
Great restaurant. Visited 9 years previously and keen to go again. They were aware that it was our anniversary so accommodated use with a corner table and made and effort with the dessert. Service was good and wine flights and chocolate selection excellent. Would highly recommend if you are visiting New York.
Try the warm spiced wine to warm you up... better than any hot toddy!
Go for Ladies Night on Tuesday - great deal. They bring out a dessert with a sparkler for birthdays
