Afiyet Olsun (Enjoy your meal)!
Aya Sofia has a romantic luxurious atmosphere combined with excellent upscale service and warm Turkish hospitality.
Always on top of their game. Food and Service first rate.
Excellent food with an array of vegetarian options. We had a party not 6 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and the experience.
Delicious food and great service! I will definitely be back.
We always love our experiences at Aya Sophia. The food is very good and different. The menu changed since our last visit and some of our favorites were missing like the lamb shank and beet salad. I really like the chocolate espresso pudding dessert. We also had a new server Gala who was great!!
Excellent food and service. Really loved the Aya Sofia appetizer plate!
Chicken kebobs were dry. Calamari was chewy. We told server that the calamari was chewy. She responded by saying she likes it chewy. 😬
Lamb cooked to perfection. They make solid Martinis with housemade blue cheese stuffed olives!
Everything was perfect, wouldn’t change anything.
The food was really good. I enjoyed everything, and the other three members of our party we’re happy as well. The wait staff were very friendly and our waitress was very helpful and explained how to pronounce or meals and drink Raki!
We had a lovely Valentines dinner. We recommend this as a romantic restaurant. We both had fish dishes which were excellent.
So delighted to see that Sultan’s Delight was back on the permanent menu!
We like to take our family to Aya Sofia. We have two middle school age boys that eat pretty well. We can all find something to eat there that we love. A good variety for all types of eaters. Would for sure recommend. If you have a basic eater, they can always just get chicken or fish with rice.
Enjoyed a lovely Valentine dinner. The chef prepares a special menu for Valentines that is exceptional!
First time dining and everything was Amazing! Only complaint was that while waiting for our table they seated us at bar. The Bartender never greeted or acknowledged us. Our 15 minute wait seemed like an eternity.
Super friendly staff, delicious food, highly recommended to anyone wanting to have a romantic evening with their loved one.
The whole experience was wonderful! Great food, great service and a nice extra touch by giving us a Valentine’s desert to take home. I highly recommend Aya Sofia!
Excellent service and exquisite cuisine. Was exactly what we were looking for.
This is the 2nd time we’ve been to Aya Sofia. Both experiences have been absolutely excellent in every way. Service is wonderful, the atmosphere is very unique and enjoyable, and most importantly, the food has been wonderful (surpassing expectations both times). This is a great date spot. We highly recommend it!
What a neighborhood gem this is. This visit was an annual birthday tradition and we were not disappointed. Service was extremely prompt, very personable and our orders were prepared quickly and accurately. The quality of the ingredients never fails to impress. Everything is expertly prepared and served in a lovely presentation. I have not the words to describe their wonderful tea and how much I appreciated it on the frigid day we dined there. This is a must visit destination that I can't recommend enough.
Very happy- love Mediterranean food- We miss Saleems and can't find any good Lebanese food here anymore. So tried Aya Sophia, menu and reviews loved great and my native Turkish friend eats there and recommended it. Celebrated my birthday with my husband, went early- 5:30- great time to go- quiet and the restaurant soon filled up- it looked like many from Middle Eastern decent and their families- ( always a good sign) and a mix of everyone else. The service was outstanding, Uriah was our server- very thorough. And I observed the other servers also, so personable, and attentive to other tables and knowledgable, helpful. Delightful to hear and watch. My husband kept saying that sitting in the booth - with the ambiance and styling it made him think of Casa Blanca . The Food- everything very good. Loved the Baba ganoush- perfect amount of lemon. Turkish bread surprised up- it resembles a Kaiser roll not pita bread- but absolutely delicious- just tear off a piece and dig in. The Biber Ezme (roasted red pepper and olive )dip was quite good but I think I would have enjoyed hummus better, it tasted exactly like Dewey's Greek salad dressing- which I do love- so wasn't as enjoyable for me. Beef kabob- cooked perfectly- tender and delicious. Shrimp kabob- highly seasoned, which is good- and I was told that by our server- but it was just so so- lost the joy of the shrimp in it all. I had the kabobs on the Aya Sophia salad which was huge- with giant chunks of delicious goat cheese. The lamb dish, Firinda Kuzu was delicious too, but almost stemlike- meat so tender. Next time will try grilled lamb- love the char and grilling more. But all delicious. The menu - everything looked and sounded so good- difficult to choose ... and as soon as you walk through the door- perfect aromas hit you- that tells you it will be a great meal. We will return soon- bringing friends with us. It's a hike down there- 40 minute drive but worth it. Still miss Lebanese- but this will hold me for now.
Fantastic Mediterranean Restaurant w/a wonderful ambiance , service and wonderful food.
Had a great time with the family celebrating a birthday.
Great as always
I wish I could say something stood out during our meal here, nothing was bad but nothing stood out as special. Our babaganoush was disappointing...not much there & no real evidence of spices & we enjoy onions etc as condiments...there were a few hunks of tomatoes & cucumber so it tasted dull. The whole fish was nice but lots of messing with bones. I liked the coucous but again, nothing exciting on the plate. The bread they served was warm which was nice...Thats all...nice...we'll probably try it again sometime as I've heard good things...maybe it'll impress me more.
We were at Aya Sofia for the New Year’s Eve dinner. The fixed menu was overpriced for both the quality and quantity of the food. 10 dollars for two medium-sized shrimps? Is a tiny plate of salad without any dressing worth 10 dollars?
We attended the New Years Eve event - Only 4 stars as we had to wait over 1 hour for our table when we had a reservation. Food, service and overall vibe was great! Loved the belly dancer and special pre-fixe menu.
We had a terrific New Year's Eve dinner! The atmosphere was energetic and the food was amazing! Our service was very attentive, offering great detail on the menu items (which we were not familiar with) that helped us make our selections. The Firinda Kuzu (slow cooked lamb) was very flavorful and tender, amazingly good! There was belly dancing that evening which added to the celebratory mood! I would highly recommend for a romantic dinner or for a fun group dinner!
We always love going to Aya Sofia. My brother in law is Turkish and believes this is the most authentic Turkish food he has tasted in his travels
Always one of the most trustworthy. Our go to restaurant when we want delicious comforting food.
This was our first visit and we were more than pleased. The ambiance is warm and casually elegant. The draped booths feel comfortable and private. We had a selection of small plates and each was delicious with wonderful Turkish flavors, freshly prepared. Service was personable and efficient without hovering. We'll be back.
Excellent ethnic cuisine accompanied by excellent service. Wine list reasonably priced. Have gone repeatedly and will continue to do so. Parking is difficult in the small lot on the premises.
As always, Aya Sofia is a gem! The food, the ambiance, the service - perfect!
we went on a sunday after the rep. we actually arrived at 430 even though the restaurant does not open till 5. a waitress coming to work was kind enough to let us in even though wewere early. we ordered some turkish wine to carry us over till the restaurantactually opened. it turned out the waitress who let us in was our server so we talked with her about her background which was very interesting. she allowed us to taste the turkish wine to see if we liked it. happy to reportwe did and each had a glass. they also have a turkish beer so we tried that as well. it was pretty good as well. the four of us shared 3 appetizers which were all very good. i had a lamb dish which was excellent. we split two deserts which were also very good. prices were veryreasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. we had been here before and look forward to coming again.
Excellent food and nice ambiance. Pleasant service and good specials. Turkish food with interesting twists.
We had an amazing meal! This is a great place to go for a special occasion!
always consistently great ....food and service....love this place
The young man and the waitress that attended to us were outstanding. Provided us with everything we needed
Food was excellent!
Worth the money
Excellent food - unique selections. Delightful atmosphere. Fair prices - good value.
One of our favorites
Food was delicious great atmosphere and drink options too. Only gripe would be parking but that is something that can’t be helped on Chippewa. Nice ambience for a romantic evening or just relaxing with friends and enjoying some great food. I got lamb and my wife got steak. Both cooked perfectly and delicious! The hummus is fantastic and the bread that came with it was amazing as well. We are already planning our next trip back to aya sofia highly recommend it!
