Our outstanding Turkish cuisine is delicious, fresh, and healthy. We serve lamb, beef, chicken and seafood. Aya Sofia offers a large variety of cold and hot meze (small plates) that are intended to be shared and will complement any of our entrees.
Afiyet Olsun (Enjoy your meal)!
Aya Sofia has a romantic luxurious atmosphere combined with excellent upscale service and warm Turkish hospitality.
Aya Sofia is one of our very favorite places for special occasions or date-night dining.
I took my mother here just for fun. The food was amazing. We didn't feel rushed, were able to sit and relax and enjoy some Turkish and Lebanese wines and a four course meal.
Have not been here for several years. Still great, fresh food. My lamb chops were excellent!
Amazing food! Great ambiance!
There are great choices both meat and vegetarian with amazing seasonings.
Great spot! The service is excellent! Our waiter was great - even though we were the only table for a late lunch!!! Friendly, helpful, attentive! The food is VERY excellent!!! Great place for food and fun, in a lovely atmosphere. Try the Iskinder - - - WOW! Love this place!!!
Our waiter didn't tell us the specials, and my lamb wasn't cooked the way I ordered. The ambiance is really nice, and my boyfriend's food was fantastic. So, even though my experience wasn't stellar, I would give this place another chance.
Delicious Turkish food, friendly service, and an extensive wine list make Aya Sofia a great special-occasion restaurant.
The Turkish wines were a great find.
A great middle eastern themed restaurant. We always enjoy our meals here.
Food and service were amazing as always. It was our first time bringing the kids for Turkish food and the staff was excellent. Reservations are recommended, we ate at 645p and only one table was open! Can’t wait to go back.
Great Turkish restaurant. Food was good. I had the lamb shank and they used a lot of delicious spices. My husband had the lamb kabobs. He was a bit disappointed since he asked for medium rare and they came out well done. Not even close. Ended up with chewy, but tasty, meat.
The decor is fantastic.
Lamb shank and lamb chops were both delicious and the service & ambiance were great, perfect date night dinner out!
The food was amazing. Everything we had was so tasty. Great service!
Had a most enjoyable lunch with friends. Our waiter was very attentive and courteous. Food was delicious.
I’ve never been disappointed at Aya Sofia. The chupra is fabulous, and the kibbe and falafel are the best I’ve ever had. Great food and service.
One of the two best date restaurants in STL (Sidney Street Cafe being the other).
We sat at the bar and had a great experience!
This is a consistently great restaurant. The prices are reasonable the service is attentive and the food is delicious. They make a Kibbe appetizer which is unlike any I have had elsewhere and is great and they have probably the best lamb chops in town.
One of my favorites in all of St. Louis. Authentic Turkish cuisine. VERY TASTY.
We always go to Aya Sofia for special occasions. The atmosphere and people are amazing.
Outstanding food and service. Excellent value. Lamb was tender and delicious. Loved the seafood meze platter. Nice bottle of wine at a very modest price.
My favorite brunch hands down. The biscuits are amazing. Even though they took my favorite item off of the menu they make it for me anyway. THE BEST!
Very good food. Nice atmosphere.
Very enjoyable dining experience. Great mezza plate - we asked for a substitute and they were very pleased comply. Off- menu kofte entre was fantastic. Very authentic. The entire wait staff was great - excellent service and we were made to feel very welcome. Well done!
Aya Sofia was a great, cozy place for dinner. Very good food & atmosphere.
Great food. Don’t miss the lamb chops. They were cooked to perfection. Service was very good.
Aya Sofia has a beautiful atmosphere and consistently wonderful food!
We have been to Aya Sophia several times and the food and service are always good. I particularly like the lamb dishes. They have many unusual Middle Eastern wines to try. Do yourself a favor and try their homemade pistachio liquor.
A good variety of Mediterranean dishes. Service was very good and the food was delicious. It's a cozy spot as well.
One of my favorite restaurants in town, if not my favorite. Tremendous service, quaint atmosphere, incredible bang for the buck. Great for a special occasion or even just a normal date.
Such a wonderful experience. Hostess was so gracious, service was amiable and prompt and the food... just fabulous. Will definitely be back!!!
Loved everything about our dining experience - Great food, romantic setting , and friendly service.
Who knew Aya Sofia did brunch? Well you should. Fabulous.
food is always delicious noise was extremely loud this night. People need to realize not everyone needs to hear them.
Very good food and service, little loud but nothing for drunk people. Overall good place to try out
We love coming here. Food is yummy and great atmosphere
Got off to a bad start. Arrived on time for our reservation, but the hostess would not seat us until the other couple arrived. She suggested that we wait in the bar. I asked again if our table was ready or not, but she did not respond, just directed us to the bar. So I stood in the bar, did not buy a drink and decided then that we would not buy a bottle of wine with dinner. The hostess would not make eye contact with me. When the other couple arrived, she still did not seat us until I went over and again asked when our table would be ready. She stated they were clearing it now. BS. Rude hostess cost the restaurant $. Food was nothing special, service not good. Will not be returning.
Great food and excellent service.
You can’t ask for more.
Our server was outstanding...we asked a lot of questions about the dishes and she answered them all. They have a lot of small plates which is good for sharing. Food came out super fast and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. There is a nice patio which we did not use because it was a cool evening. About a half block from Ted Drewes, so we did not get dessert at the restaurant. My only complaint is the parking lot which is tiny, but but there is street parking nearby.
Everything was fantastic from cocktails to appetizers to main course ! Fresh food prepared perfectly . We enjoyed the sampler appetizer platter which included ,home made hummus, tabouli. stuffed grape leaves and. Light crispy phyllo dough filled with goat cheese and spinach . Our main courses which included lamb shank , grilled swordfish and a whole grilled Mediterranean fish were all delicious ! We will definitely be back and make this a regular visiting restaurant !!
A good place to dine with friends. But their moussaka does not have a bechamel sauce, despite what is stated on the menu.
