I took my mother here just for fun. The food was amazing. We didn't feel rushed, were able to sit and relax and enjoy some Turkish and Lebanese wines and a four course meal.

Our waiter didn't tell us the specials, and my lamb wasn't cooked the way I ordered. The ambiance is really nice, and my boyfriend's food was fantastic. So, even though my experience wasn't stellar, I would give this place another chance.

Delicious Turkish food, friendly service, and an extensive wine list make Aya Sofia a great special-occasion restaurant.

The Turkish wines were a great find.

Food and service were amazing as always. It was our first time bringing the kids for Turkish food and the staff was excellent. Reservations are recommended, we ate at 645p and only one table was open! Can’t wait to go back.

Great Turkish restaurant. Food was good. I had the lamb shank and they used a lot of delicious spices. My husband had the lamb kabobs. He was a bit disappointed since he asked for medium rare and they came out well done. Not even close. Ended up with chewy, but tasty, meat.
The decor is fantastic.

I’ve never been disappointed at Aya Sofia. The chupra is fabulous, and the kibbe and falafel are the best I’ve ever had. Great food and service.

This is a consistently great restaurant. The prices are reasonable the service is attentive and the food is delicious. They make a Kibbe appetizer which is unlike any I have had elsewhere and is great and they have probably the best lamb chops in town.

We have been to Aya Sophia several times and the food and service are always good. I particularly like the lamb dishes. They have many unusual Middle Eastern wines to try. Do yourself a favor and try their homemade pistachio liquor.

Got off to a bad start. Arrived on time for our reservation, but the hostess would not seat us until the other couple arrived. She suggested that we wait in the bar. I asked again if our table was ready or not, but she did not respond, just directed us to the bar. So I stood in the bar, did not buy a drink and decided then that we would not buy a bottle of wine with dinner. The hostess would not make eye contact with me. When the other couple arrived, she still did not seat us until I went over and again asked when our table would be ready. She stated they were clearing it now. BS. Rude hostess cost the restaurant $. Food was nothing special, service not good. Will not be returning.

Our server was outstanding...we asked a lot of questions about the dishes and she answered them all. They have a lot of small plates which is good for sharing. Food came out super fast and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. There is a nice patio which we did not use because it was a cool evening. About a half block from Ted Drewes, so we did not get dessert at the restaurant. My only complaint is the parking lot which is tiny, but but there is street parking nearby.

Everything was fantastic from cocktails to appetizers to main course ! Fresh food prepared perfectly . We enjoyed the sampler appetizer platter which included ,home made hummus, tabouli. stuffed grape leaves and. Light crispy phyllo dough filled with goat cheese and spinach . Our main courses which included lamb shank , grilled swordfish and a whole grilled Mediterranean fish were all delicious ! We will definitely be back and make this a regular visiting restaurant !!

A good place to dine with friends. But their moussaka does not have a bechamel sauce, despite what is stated on the menu.
