They were out of almost their entire extremely limited menu at 1:30 on Mother’s Day...had to walk in at another restaurant
They ran out of half the food on the menu. And did not have the alcohol we wanted.
Hostess was rude
Food was good
Drinks were good
A little pricey
Our experience was amazing! We had a wonderful server who is also one of the bartenders so he provided some great recommendations to us. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and can’t wait to visit the rooftop bar one of these days.
Beautiful scenery ambience and best service
Really cool decor inside, felt chic, comfortable and relaxed. However there were some very loud people so it felt a bit cramped and hard to talk. The cocktails were delicious! The service was hit or miss, hard to flag anyone down, and they all stood by the kitchen in groups. Drinks took awhile to get throughout the whole evening. No one noticed we had no water for most of the dinner. The food also took awhile to receive. Our table got two steaks and both were well done, I mean cooked dry, no red or pink in the center, for $50 each and ask for medium rare that’s not ok. The vegetable sides were the best part but it all seemed a bit salty. For the prices this should’ve been amazing but was definitely not after walking away with close to $300/couple. Overall I’d come back for a cocktail and the ambiance but not for dinner or the food.
It was bad. Food was bad. Uneducated staff. Just not good. Lacked basic salt.
We had an amazing time at Avow. The space is so beautiful, the cocktails delicious, and the food exquisite. We will be back.
When we showed up for our scheduled lunch, there was a sign on the door saying they had closed that day -- and I didn't get any notice. All that way for nothing! Very poor management.
My score was for Open Table. I was allowed to book a reservation and got an email to reconfirm. Went to the restaurant and it's been closed for the last two weeks due to a kitchen issue. Showed up to be turned away on a Friday night in Napa. Morimoto's was excellent
Valentines dinner there were unknown charges for wine. Food was good though.
Great dinner location for our Valentines weekend. The outdoor tent with chandeliers was a great touch! Staff was good and our waiter Marcus was excellent (very attentive). As much as we come to Napa, we will definitely be putting Avow on our normal dining locations.
Overall an average experience. I had high hopes of this being great as we have stopped in for a late night drink and dessert before and had fun. This time we went for dinner. We ordered the rabbit gnocchi and the scallops to go along with the Crab Funnel Cakes and finished with a chocolate cake. First the appetizer didn't show up until we pointed it out to the server when they were delivering the entrees. So we started with our entrees. I had the rabbit gnocchi. It tasted flat. The dish was fine, but nothing special about it. It was missing something in the sauce overall flavor, texture, not sure what, but I wouldn't get it again. My wife ordered the scallops and she did enjoy her dish. When the crab cakes showed up they were comped which was the right thing by the restaurant. The crab cakes were actually fantastic and were a unique spin on funnel cakes and crab cakes. We finished with a deconstructed lava cake that was pretty good. We may go back and give them another chance as the app was incredible and just try other entrees.
Excellent service and outdoor experience - beautiful tent w chandeliers and lots of heaters. Chicken sandwich and burgers are great! Nice wine selection.
My husband ordered several appetizers as his "entrée" and they all came first; well before my entrée. Most of the food was good, my rabbit gnocchi was tasty, but kind of skimpy for the price and 6 carrot curls didn't really get it as 'carrot slaw'. Our reservation was for 7:30 and at 8:15 we asked about desert and were told the kitchen was already closed! It was not the experience we were hoping for.
Unfortunately, we stopped in as they were re-opening due to the pandemic and their menu was limited, but we enjoyed the food we had.
Loved their rooftop with a view of downtown Napa! The heat lamps made it nice and cozy. Our waiter was super friendly and the food was top-notch!
Great drinks nice people and good food can’t go wrong with helping to make a great night.
Ate outdoors under the tent due to COVID restrictions. All was great. Nice "ambiance", attentive service, good food, right price point.
Great waiter, great food, appreciated the chandeliers in the tent. A little road noise from Third street. A definite desire to return.
Was excited to be able to eat outside again. Made lunch arrangements for coworkers and sat in there outside tent that was laid out very nicely. Plenty of heaters and well sheltered. All three of us had the burger and fries. Great portions and flavor. Staff was friendly. We will return soon
Absolutely delicious food and drinks. Outside seating with heaters if needed. Social distancing and masks required. friendly and quick service. Highly recommended!
Food is way overpriced.
Nice Outdoor year finale dinner.
Forgot my birthday though!
Our new favorite restaurant in Napa! The food is amazing!!
Another great Sunday Brunch with the amazing staff and delicious food from chef.
Wonderful food, gorgeous setting and great wait staff!
The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything memorable. We ordered the Chicken Chipotle Salad and the Avow Burger. The salad was disappointing; on the smaller side for an entree salad. The burger was pretty good, even though it came out well done when asked for medium rare. We would eat here again, but I won't go out of my way to make a reservation.
First time here and definitely won’t be the last!
The Chicken and waffles were rock solid, the french toast just decadent, service was attentive and socially distanced and the space was refined and classic Napa Valley~
Good food. Menu is a little limited and priced a little high, but overall pretty good.
We chose to seat indoor; the restaurant was so COLD which I bet they didn’t have the heat turned on. My Loco Moco was served lukewarm and the rice was cold, so I had to ask our server to take it back and reheat some more. Looks like their kitchen is upstairs and maybe that’s why the food was cold if not attended to right away. Overall experience was good but not spectacular enough to “wow” me to go back. Their French Press coffee setup was the most impressive of all.
I ordered my burger medium rare and it came out well done. By the time I received a new burger my companion had finished so I just took it home. The service was not very good either. I had to flag the server down 3 different times. She just never came back to check on us.
I liked the ambiance and the staff was really great. The food has potential but none of it quite lived up to it. The mushroom calamari had excellent flavor and would have recommended it to anyone, but it was terribly oversalted. Each bite prompted a drink of water. It was unfortunate. I ordered the rabbit gnocchi for dinner. The rabbit was tender, but the gnocchi was heavy and tough. Overall, the dish lacked seasoning and flavor. My husband's steak was the most delicious part of the meal, but his only complaint was that he got three small pieces and a tiny square of scalloped potatoes. It was a pretty meager portion. We hoped for much more. We really liked the restaurant ambience and the staff, just wished the food hadn't fallen short. I would recommend, but maybe just for drinks or a simple appetizer.
Took neighbors out for a fun night. It was great
Outstanding service, inventive cocktails and really good food!
Open Table gave me the option of indoor seating or outside _ I choose inside adn when I get there they say Open Table does not inform them...thus not indoor tables.
One opened up and the bar tender was our waiter and he was distracted with hsi bar tending duties...we asked him to come back in 3 minutes he comes back in 15.
Crab cake funnel style was all batter no crab I could see.
Rabbit with Gnocchi was very minimal for $34
Excellent, well-priced menu. Friendly staff. Social distancing maintained. Took my mom there for her birthday, very happy with the choice of dining at AVOW. Looking forward to returning :)
