Menu was not well thought out. Our server was good and tried very hard to make the evening good. The kitchen was very late and getting our food out. The portions were small and the selections were limited.
We made our reservations the morning of fathers day and we couldn’t have been happier! Only availability said a tall table. Didn’t care and to our surprise we were seated exactly where we were hoping! Roof top was amazing!!!! It’s all so beautiful inside. We used to go to Ninebark often….prior restaurant before Avow. They have made so many amazing changes to the inside that look so amazing! The roof top make over bar etc is perfect!
The food was incredible and the drinks. Bloody Mary’s DELICIOUS! We will go back!
We were the second party and only two of us to check in and order then filled up fast. It took 1 hour to get our food, all other tables had there’s it was crazy two of us most tables had 4-8 they all finished before us. the bald headed manager is very snobby and rude. Once we ate it was ok not worth the wait and attitude.
Must have been a bad day. Service was really bad, rarely leave reviews for service as things happen, but it took over an hour to get our main course. Food was nothing to write home about and for the location and price point really did not meet expectations.
The food on the limited menu was fantastic. It was great to have non-alcoholic mixed drinks to rival the outstanding cocktail menu. Service was excellent and the outdoor ambiance was very enjoyable.
You guys highlight the rooftop dining at Avow but they don’t serve dinner up there. We had a reservation for Saturday night and only found out when we arrived. They wouldn’t make an accommodation.
Food was just o.k. Server was very nice but very busy. The side served with the $50 steak was fava beans and mushrooms. Which had no flavor at all.
Not what we expected. Food wasn’t special and cheese plate felt like it was left over cubes from a party platter. Pork schnitzel was tasty; pasta was cold with the duck confit and felt like missing sauce. Unfortunately we were disappointed with our experience which sounded so great from article we read and photos!
The new menu is SO. GOOD. Ingredients are so fresh and there is so much heart behind the food and presentation. Service was great also.

Good food but waiter must not have put our order into the kitchen as we waited for 45 minutes before he seemed to notice we had no food. Srew up with the bill, etc made for an altogether unpleasant experience.
I am very disappointed with Avow. On Saturday, May 22nd, I choose Avow to celebrate my 50th birthday with a group of my closest friends. However, it was ruined by the horrible customer service given by the General Manager, Kristof Pollack. My guests were at several tables on most of the 2nd floor of the restaurant. One of the managers, Wendall, did a brilliant job of accommodating all of us by letting us sit near one another, despite our multiple reservations. However, the GM, Kristof, was not happy with this arrangement. He kept telling my party that we were disturbing the other 6 guests on the floor who were having dinner. Yet these guests had joined in with the celebration by sending us drinks and us sending drinks to them for joining in the fun. Kristof never let up. He was determined to be the wet blanket in the room. No one had an issue with us but him. So when he brought over a bottle of sparkling wine, compliments of one of the guests he said we were bothering. I expressed my strong disappointment with him and how he was mistreating my guests. He tried to defend himself. But only made it worse. I told him I no longer wanted him to manage our group. That I wanted someone else. He stormed off like a child.
I say all that to say, my group was a mature group of professional women of color. We were all dressed in black cocktail attire to celebrate one of four nights in Napa. Avow was just one of our stops. I thought Napa business managers had learned from the Napa Wine train incident, and would never again treat people of color as if they were less than. Apparently Kristof had not gotten the memo. He was rude, arrogant, and extremely unprofessional. Avow’s owner, Joe Wagner, needs to find a general manager who exhibits more compassion and humility. Hospitality isn’t for everyone. Especially when they believe everyone’s money isn’t green. That’s a very dangerous person to have in charge. I will never patronize Avow again.
Food was either under cooked or over cooked. No need to go back!
We were pleasantly surprised by coming to Avow. Just a great experience. Creative food choices. The service was VERY cordial. Don't settle for the "street" dining. Go inside, even with Covid. Better yet, go up stairs. The second level has a great sophisticated loungy character. The third level has a very nice view.
Will definitely recommend.

Our experience was amazing! We had a wonderful server who is also one of the bartenders so he provided some great recommendations to us. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and can’t wait to visit the rooftop bar one of these days.
Beautiful scenery ambience and best service
Really cool decor inside, felt chic, comfortable and relaxed. However there were some very loud people so it felt a bit cramped and hard to talk. The cocktails were delicious! The service was hit or miss, hard to flag anyone down, and they all stood by the kitchen in groups. Drinks took awhile to get throughout the whole evening. No one noticed we had no water for most of the dinner. The food also took awhile to receive. Our table got two steaks and both were well done, I mean cooked dry, no red or pink in the center, for $50 each and ask for medium rare that’s not ok. The vegetable sides were the best part but it all seemed a bit salty. For the prices this should’ve been amazing but was definitely not after walking away with close to $300/couple. Overall I’d come back for a cocktail and the ambiance but not for dinner or the food.

When we showed up for our scheduled lunch, there was a sign on the door saying they had closed that day -- and I didn't get any notice. All that way for nothing! Very poor management.
My score was for Open Table. I was allowed to book a reservation and got an email to reconfirm. Went to the restaurant and it's been closed for the last two weeks due to a kitchen issue. Showed up to be turned away on a Friday night in Napa. Morimoto's was excellent
Valentines dinner there were unknown charges for wine. Food was good though.
Great dinner location for our Valentines weekend. The outdoor tent with chandeliers was a great touch! Staff was good and our waiter Marcus was excellent (very attentive). As much as we come to Napa, we will definitely be putting Avow on our normal dining locations.
Overall an average experience. I had high hopes of this being great as we have stopped in for a late night drink and dessert before and had fun. This time we went for dinner. We ordered the rabbit gnocchi and the scallops to go along with the Crab Funnel Cakes and finished with a chocolate cake. First the appetizer didn't show up until we pointed it out to the server when they were delivering the entrees. So we started with our entrees. I had the rabbit gnocchi. It tasted flat. The dish was fine, but nothing special about it. It was missing something in the sauce overall flavor, texture, not sure what, but I wouldn't get it again. My wife ordered the scallops and she did enjoy her dish. When the crab cakes showed up they were comped which was the right thing by the restaurant. The crab cakes were actually fantastic and were a unique spin on funnel cakes and crab cakes. We finished with a deconstructed lava cake that was pretty good. We may go back and give them another chance as the app was incredible and just try other entrees.
