This was our first visit to Avola. I must say that the food was delicious, the service was great, and there was live music. We will definitely be returning to sample more of their options. I would recommend you try this establishment.
Clean, sleek, modern atmosphere. The wood grill smelled warm & cozy. A few diners on the patio, a few enjoyers in the bar, no one but the two of us in the dining room. This allowed for fast & efficient service.
The Branzino fish was fabulous, crispy skin, tender inside, perfect veggies.
If he hadn't wanted dessert my husband would have happily finished his pasta Bolognese.
This is the third time we have dined at Avola. Every time the food has been excellent as was the service. There were not a lot of patrons at this early reservation, but the noise level was loud due to the piercing music being played. The acoustics in this facility need to be softened somewhat. I really don't like to make a negative comment since the food is so delightful.
We will go back and so will our friends that were with us. Food was probably the best in the area. Only complaint is they need to do a better job letting people know that they are open. Too much guessing as to what the hours are and days open. Other wise a wonderful experience
We sat in the bar area and enjoyed the ambience including the guy on guitar. The food and service was good.
We dined outdoors on a chilly evening. There were plenty of patio heaters and we felt very cozy. Service was excellent - professional and friendly. Food was great, if a little pricey, but that seems to be the norm these days. We had a very pleasant evening.
Delicious unique entrees
I love Italian food. This was good Italian food with healthy portions that was very over priced. Most of this opinion stems from ordering a Filet mignon and pasta dish for $28 and getting a lot of tasty pasta and almost no filet. I have gotten a whole filet for that price. OK it wasn't high end but it wasn't terrible either.
Unfortunately both our waiters were new at the job and it is probably unfair to rate them but their training could have been better.
Server Wes did a great job once again!
Was surprised! Great cocktails and wine selection. A lot of food options to choose from. Good for small plates if you want to order a lot. We enjoyed our main entrees. Told the wait staff we were there to relax and not rush and they listened. If you get 3-4 beverages, 2-3 starters, and 2 mains, you will have a $200 bill. Not the worst thing for a nice relaxing evening out.
Our first visit. Exceptional service and we loved the outdoor seating and the food. Ally and madelena, our servers were very engaging and diligent.
Dan the bartender mixed amazing drinks!
Ben, the manager is excellent, greets us by name knows we prefer sitting in a both. He’s always happy to stop my our table and chat, he’s just a GEM. Our waiter Wes was fabulous, remembers what wine I drink and what we usually order. Needless to say, we love Avola , the food is outstanding, we feel like we’ll treated like family!❤️
The food was amazing! The roasted heirloom tomatoes and churasco I will definitely be back for
Avola is a wonderful spot! I wish I had discovered it sooner. The ambiance (whether restaurant, bar, or patio) is perfectly designed and helps create a magical atmosphere. The food is top notch. I have not had a bad dish yet. I highly recommend it!
Food was excellent. Everything we tried was very good. I was especially pleased with the unique cocktails they offered on the menu.
the out door tables need new finishes.
Absolutely fantastic steaks with whipped potatoes and asparagus. The ricotta appetizer was perfect too. The drinks rocked. Staff is friendly and professional as always! 🙌🎉🙌🎉
Food tasted good. Loved the Octopus hash as an appetizer as well as the Caprese salad. Pizzas and pasta all good as well. A bit pricy for the pasta without meat but the taste was good. It was not crowded when we went so not too noisy but I can see where it could get loud when crowded.
We thoroughly enjoyed Happy Hour at the bar with our attentive bartender and nicely priced drinks and apps. Portions were generous for our dinners ranging from salads to seafood to pasta. Dine at the bar, in the open and airy restaurant or al fresco. Avola is conveniently tucked off of Route 29.
The wood grilled octopus app was filled with so many great flavors, and all the main dishes looked and tasted great! Outside seating on a perfect summer night made for an even better experience
Food was very good. Service a little slow but big party going on.
Awesome experience and food as always!!
Kaylie our server told us as he was new & did a Good job. Good & drink was perfect. High top wooden chairs outside were a challenge to get in & out of. Suggestion, raise umbrella’s each day. We were in Isley seated at a low umbrella table that was closed & proved too tough open. W diners Also commented on the high top chairs. As always the food & drink were a good choice!
Food is very good but the restaurant is very noisy. Also the service could be better. I ordered a glass of wine and it was not delivered until my meal arrived. Also, the waitress did not check on us to see if we needed anything.
The food and service here is always outstanding. My one and only complaint is that when live music is playing you cannot hear yourself think.
Dean the Bartender made us feel at home!
We stopped in for a late lunch last week and the food was SO good we came back for dinner with friends!
Excellent service, friendly staff, amazing food. We can't wait to go again.
Cool place. Will return
Delicious food and cocktails, excellent service provided by friendly staff.
We had an amazing night out with friends at Avola. The environment is great and love the decor! Lindsay was wonderful as always! We always ask for her as our server because she is always so knowledgeable about food and drinks, making awesome suggestions. She has never steered us wrong! Can’t recommend this restaurant enough. Will definitely be back soon!
We loved it. Service was great - musician was really really talented. Didn’t care for the style of the restaurant ( I found the color changing lights disconcerting on a 300$ meal) but the food was wonderful.
The food at Avola was very good, however the service was really bad. Our server came back a couple of times only after we had to ask the bus person (who’s a minor) to ask him for drink refills. We had ordered a bunch of starters to share, and he never came back to ask if we wanted to order meals. This restaurant has potential because the food was really good (especially the fried artichokes and mussels in white wine sauce), but they really need to work with their staff to be more attentive to their customers.
Food was great but the two people we interacted with made it a Brest experience
The guy who greeted us( might be owner or manager) put up with dumb questions and offered extra info
And our server LYDIA handled special request and made the meal way better than just flavorful
We determined she is NOT Lydia the tattooed lady
(google it if you’re young)
Great evening had by all. Joe, our attentive and fantastic server made the expert perfect. Food at Avola never disappoints.
Nice date night spot. We Sat on the patio which was enjoyable. The menu offered a robust cocktail selection and the wine selections had a decent variety too. The pastas were handmade and well done. Overall, I would return!
Wonderful gem. Food and cocktails fresh and delicious.
Great food, great cocktail selection, friendly and knowledgeable waiter. Will definitely go back.
Fabulous food, service was a bit spotty with long waits for our drinks on our last visit. Food was great, as always. Biggest downside to this place every time we have been there on a Friday night (about 6 times), there is always one young lady who isn’t a server but more of a water glass refiller/busser. She always comes up when we are mid-chewing to ask about our meals. It’s weird and random b/c she’s not our server & she’s dressed super casual so she doesn’t seem to be a manager either. she has a bad habit of trying to take away our plates when we’re still eating (even when our forks are in-hand and aimed at plate?) & she took a half-full $16 glass of wine last time we went. Good news is our server quickly got me a replacement glass of wine.
