   The food was good but not amazing. I find chefs for the most part are not very imaginative. They are satisfied with good and so never get to great. Service was good but again not great. The restaurant is beautiful. The restaurant is definitely better than the surrounding popular places but it could be a lot better

   I had once more an incredible dinner at Avlu. The food tastes amazing, and the ambience is unmatched—quiet, peaceful. The staff were as kind and helpful as always, making the experience even better.

   We have been visiting Istanbul for twenty years, and this restaurant is undoubtedly the most authentic. Every dish was delicious, and the service was terrific. Make sure you try the Turkish dry white wine Vinolus.

   Delicious food accompanied by outstanding service. The entire personal was highly attentive to every detail of our evening. Highly recommend if you’re looking to try a restaurant which gives a nice and unexpected twist to Anatolian cuisine.
