Avli in suburban Winnetka has been a Chicagoland favorite since 2009 offering guests contemporary and classic Greek small plates, mains, and desserts as well as approachable Greek wines and inventive cocktails.

    Have walked by and driven past many times but never thought to stop in - I’m glad we finally did for a birthday. Service was impeccable. Staff was attentive and quick. Strong drinks. Food came out fast and hot. Options for everyone on the menu. We will be returning!

    Nice setting with very good service. The food was a bit disappointing- chicken gyros- chicken was quite dry, Greek chicken was just OK.

    Amazing fresh and authentic Greek food! We’ve been here several times and we will continue to come back. Service is excellent, prices are reasonable and the flavor of everything we’ve tried has been top-notch! I live in California, but when I visit back home to Chicago, I always come to eat dinner at Avli!

    This is a good neighborhood restaurant. I wasn’t a fan of the revised recipe for spanakopita - I liked the previous preparation. I’d still recommend Avli if asked.

    Have been to Avli for birthday celebration 2 years ago. Food and service were fabulous. Not so much this time for lunch. The salad I ordered was bland and did not get much better with more dressing. My salmon was overcooked and also not very tasty. They did present me with a nice birthday dessert which was very good. The other guests had a similar reaction to their lunch choices. I don't know if they changed chefs or if this was an off day. I probably won't be frequenting this location again.

    Always enjoy the many traditional Greek food selections. Serving staff was very helpful and accommodating. Modest renovations/updates to the restaurant and bathroom areas would be appreciated. A good choice for dining in the suburbs for large groups or small.

    Everything about our experience celebrating my best friends birthday was great! Our waitress, I believe her name was Ava (I hope I got that right), truly made our day. She was super friendly, very knowledgeable, and quick on her feet. She also made amazing mocktails. We would definitely return, the food was also so good 👍
