    The food is exceptional. The tzatziki and mousaka are a must have. And we are Greeks. The melanzana salata was bland and tasteless. The greek potatoes and pasta scored low. The last two times we went to celebrate birthdays; noted secretly in both reservations but never acknowledged by the staff.

    Honestly, not great. The food was quite disappointing, as was the service. Beyond the lovely location and atmosphere, I would have rather eaten a grocery store sandwich than the overpriced meal we had at Avli.

    We had a great time and the food was exceptional. Service was a little slow, but it didn't put a damper on the evening. It was also a bit loud, but that's just the acoustics of the room. We'll definitely come back!

    I mentioned both on my reservation and in person it was my son's birthday - and nothing was done for him. Also services was incredibly slow and it wasn't that crowded.

    The view from the Patio is amazing! The food is even better from the spreads to the main dishes! 10/10 Chefs as well as all the wait staff and bartenders everything was amazing!

    The temperature in those restaurants was frigid. Continually freezing air was blowing on us. You could see the fabric artwork blowing in the arctic air. The food got super cold because of it and our entire party of 6 froze. When we reported this, to the staff, immediately upon entering the space, we were given the poor excuse that the entire restaurant/ kitchen and guest seating area, are on the same AC system and the kitchen gets too hot. What happened to making customers comfortable? This is zero exaggeration. We couldn’t wait to get out!

    Wonderful place to enjoy with family or just being romantic. Location is set really nice with a pretty view of Milwaukee from their hill at night. Their patio is a wonderful place to chill. It’s was birthday celebration for a dear friend of ours. The restaurant pulled out a great service with extra effort, our server Jenni was excellent. Upbeat but very considerate and professional to make sure we were all kept happy and left to celebrate. Testament to Robert the manager there who runs a good shift, but makes sure the standard kept the highest standards, but having the respect of his workforce who understand their clients want value and quality. Finally, the food is wonderful. Tasty , well seasoned, and beautifully presented Mediterranean inspired food. There is plenty to choose from, but I enjoyed my Lamb chops especially. I thoroughly recommend that you try this place for a good lunch or night out. Thanks Avli!
