Wow. We stumbled on this place by accident. You know... it’s 7:30 pm and you use OpenTable to find a place. What a delightful surprise. We tried 6 or 7 dishes- all of them amazing. Beautiful flavors! Great knowledgeable staff - especially when it comes to wine. Would definitely recommend!

Great food, met the owner and he is very hands on, involved in every aspect of the experience. One of my new faves.

The food and the server (Alex) was amazing!! The charcuterie board was $55 which seemed a little over priced, but honestly all the cheeses and meats were so good! The ambiance outside was perfect, with heaters and light music and string lights.

The charcuterie board was wonderful. A little on the pricey side at $55 dollars but it was a quality board. The drinks and service were fabulous and the server made recommendations that were excellent!

The atmosphere and service was great but my husband and I will not being coming back. The food was extremely over seasoned. My husband only ordered a burger and fries and he only finished half of it which is rare for him because he said it was so spicy. I had the quail tamal and the quail was great but the masa stuffing was so spicy. I ate it anyway and both my husband and I had indigestion after. We are health nuts and do not over season our food when we cook at home. It’s a bummer because we enjoyed our night there but we cannot handle the amount of spice they put in their food.

Always a great experience. Love the new charcuterie options and the service is always perfect. The staff know and love wine, and make the best recommendations.

Aviary has always been on the top of my list. It is now even higher rated with all of the cOVID precautions they are taking. The outdoor ambiance is befitting for intimate and socially distanced bites. The food is crafted with the utmost care. Delicious to the core. Their drink menu could potentially overshadow the food but only when their Sommelier, Alex Bell is able to present the wide variety suitable for your palate. You will get wrapped up in his whimsical descriptions that catapults you to another time and country. Again befitting if you are getting the travel bug or at least an escape for our new reality.
Aviary is the perfect restaurant for special date and intimate gatherings, not to be overlooked!

The staff, service, wine selection and delicious food has us coming back for more on the reg!

Aviary has done an amazing job of keeping the bar high when it comes to Covid cleanliness and space standards. I feel at ease knowing they are taking this seriously. The food was amazing. The menu changes according to season , but the staple burger is always a great go-to. The wine and beer selections are very well researched and sourced. We adore this place - it’s a little slice of heaven!

Great wine, food a service! Patio only dining while COVID restrictions remain in place - but they have a lovely patio and I prefer eating al fresco!

Aviary is the dream neighborhood restaurant. They know their customers, food is incredible and the wine list very unique. This is a must go-to place on South Lamar.

I love this place! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about their offerings and everything is absolutely delicious. Ask for their resident wine specialist Alex to pop by the table to walk you through all of your sure-to-be new favorite juices. He knows his stuff.

Aviary is amazing every time! The environment is great and the outdoor seating is perfect during these times. The service is incredible, the servers are so knowledgeable about everything on the menu while giving the perfect recommendations.

Awesome food, wine and people! Outdoor setting was perfect.

I was very impressed with my experience at Aviary. I went during happy hour and enjoyed a couple glasses of wine and a 2 small plates. The food was excellent and the wine selection was good. They are only doing outdoor seating right now and with the patio being right next to the road it was a little bit loud with the traffic. The service was great and they did a great job managing during Covid. Would recommend for a quick glass of wine or a happy hour date.

Every single bite was amazing and the atmosphere was both safe and welcoming. Eating outside on the beautiful Austin night was just what we needed. Incredible wine selection with excellent suggestions on pairings. Loved it.

Noisy street, the food was overpriced for what it was.

Oh my! Service was incredible. I feel like Morgan could read my mind. She steered me to every delicious thing. The Texas green bean casserole was above and beyond as was the pork belly. The Wagyu burger was phenomenal. I can't wait until their cheese board is back. Had a great German, yes, German, Pinot Noir. Just an outstanding experience even in Covid-19 and Austin August heat.

The crew at Aviary make the difference between good food and a great overall experience. They are knowledgeable, personable and their enthusiasm for the food and wine they serve is palpable. Love the new rugs outside too! Makes the place feel cozy.
