Food was delicious just took a very long time. Sitting ocean side there is nothing like it and the server kept us informed which was great
The best feature of this place is definitely the outdoor sitting with the view of the oceanfront (if you can get an outside table!). Service is good, personnel is quite friendly. Good place to enjoy a special occasion with friends and family. On a busy day, food may take about an hour to arrive, so get an appetizer and a glass of wine, and enjoy the views and conversations! Menu is a bit pricey (perhaps, something to expect in a place like this), but the overall food quality is good. Our family likes this place and we recommend it!

The food was just fair--especially given the high prices. C'mon: $5 for a cup of milk for a child at brunch? And $5 for an iced tea? $11 for 3 small pancakes (that had to be sent back). Add to all that $30 for "Avenue" valet parking! Setting on the ocean is magnificent and the restaurant is beautiful, so I guess that's what you're paying for.
Avenue is gorgeous! The interior, exterior seating is great! I was not impressed with the food at all. Let’s just start that menu is limited to a brunch menu until late afternoon with not many lunch choices. We asked to see the dinner menu but it was 2:15pm and they said we serve dinner starting at 3:30. Shrimp cocktail was horrible. Shrimp was not fresh, had a strong odor and worse taste. Chicken club had no flavor. We ordered a hamburger medium and it came out well. Highly recommend this place for the view and ambiance, but don’t be hungry.
I reserved table for 3 for a special Birthday dinner. Our server was awful. She brought the wrong drink orders and also brought out incorrect dinner dishes for 2 out of the 3 of us. She also forgot the 2 a la carte side dishes we ordered. The Manager, Marcel, left my filet mignon dinner in front of me, never offering to take it back, while he had the chef prepare 2 correct dinners for my guests. After 20 min went by and the 2 correct dinners came, my steak and vegetables were cold. He never offered to reheat it or make a new one. I ate a cold steak that was not even taken off the bill. For 4 drinks and 3 dinners (no dessert) the bill was $230.00. An absolute rip off... and extremely poor customer service to boot. The music was fast jazz and very annoying to listen to being that we were the ONLY diners on a Sunday night at 6:30. We should have ran when we noticed they had empty tables. I would not recommend this restaurant to my enemy.
Our go to local spot. Cocktails are always spot on. Light refreshing brunch menu.

As always the food was delicious. This was a first time visit for my partner and she loved it. Great bar with friendly bartenders and great service. Wait staff was also very attentive. This is always a place that is at the top of my list when in Long Branch.
A LOVE/HATE RELATIONSHIP I've been going to Avenue since it opened. Their atmosphere, view and food never disappoint. Cuddle up to the warmth of a fireplace indoors on a wintery day, or feel the cool sea breeze while dining alfresco in season. As one of the few special places along the Jersey Shore, I frequently acquaint people with Avenue when they first arrive to the area. But they always question why I return, because no one at Avenue knows how to say "yes". Any and all suggestions, questions or requests are met with "the Avenue attitude" - you're lucky they're even bothering with you. Should you want anything done or prepared differently, it must be because you just don't know any better. That alienates more people than it befriends. Were it not for the turnover of a robust seasonal crowd, this would not fly. As a local, I know they're unable to attract repeat customers out of season, while the other Boardwalk restaurants do well. Get over yourselves Avenue, and take some lessons from the class act next door.
My husband and I had a very nice breakfast on the water. The service was outstanding. Will definitely return for another special occasion or brunch date.

Avenue is a see-and-be-seen venue, and the service is fittingly snotty. If it's your first visit, the nose-in-the-air bottle blond behind the maitre-d desk will consign you to the worst possible table. Feel free to protest when they park you at a two-seater right next to a noisy wait station when there are literally twenty better alternatives. You needn't order chilled beverages if you're unfortunate enough to merit our wait-person whose icy arrogance could have frozen hot cocoa. Nevertheless, bad attitudes not withstanding, the cuisine was quite good. The Tuna Carpaccio was beautifully presented and perfectly dressed. The Moules Frites were a treat served swimming in a complex wine and herb bath. (We would have appreciated some bread to dip into the remnants but none was forthcoming.) The plump fresh Mussels were accompanied by enough fries to satisfy a hungry ten year old at a picnic. The Lobster Spaghetti was good but not great. The succulent lobster was done perfectly but the pasta was a bit over-cooked and soggy. Order it Al Dente. All in all, go to Avenue (you'll need reservations over the summer) if you can ignore the put-on-airs of the several who seem like they ought be extras on TVs Jersey Shore and pay attention to your palate and you'll go home happy.
Great experience. Started with the raw bar which was excellent. My wife has the lobster spaghetti and I had the halibut. Good sized serving, not overwhelming. Tasty. Ended with dessert and coffee. First time, won’t be the last time.

Outdoor bar service is beautiful but painfully slow. Had to track down a waitress after sitting for 10 mins. Foods ok, service mixed...some staff attentive others seemed either too busy or not well trained
Terrible service- won’t accommodate dietary restrictions - other than the pretty restaurant and view would not recommend.

The prix fixe exceeded expectations. My SO, who is a good scientist and Uber picky enjoyed this meal more than I've ever seen him. He had the octopus salad, salmon and stole my profiteroles. The lentils with the salmon somehot tasted like caviar. It was an excellent meal and a lovely evening
A few times a year my grandmother and I get together for brunch at avenue to celebrate her birthday or Mother’s Day etc.. Our experience time after time is exceptional. They are one of the few restaurants that has consistently given great service and wonderful food. Kudos to Avenue for a great dining experience again!

Once again Avenue exceeded our expectations! The food is first-rate, the ambience very nice, and the service excellent. And the location on the beach in Long Branch can’t be surpassed. Highly recommended!!
Excellent! Place is facing the ocean. Food was excellent and delicious. This was my second time here- and again always good. It's definitely worth coming here.
There must be a new chef here. The walnuts on top of the baked beet salad were so hot and spicy that I could not eat anything else except water to calm my throat which was burning. I had to take my dinner home.
Our review is in 2 parts: one is about the restaurant & the 2nd is about Open Table.
1) The restaurant is beautiful & expensive but the quality of service does not match. On an deadly quiet Sunday night we asked the hostess if 2 tables facing the water could be pushed together so we could sit side by side. She said yes but we'd have to give up the table if they got busy. Then she walked away without moving the tables. My husband & I looked @ each other; did she expect us to do it ourselves? We had to call her back to do it. We asked for bread 3x & then it came out ice cold. We ordered a salad to share as an appetizer & when the bus boy brought it out we asked him if they could split it in the kitchen. He said "we don't do that". I then asked for fresh pepper & the waitress slid a pepper mill on the table to me (it was broken). Guess they don't do that either. We ordered decaf coffee @ the end of the meal & it tasted like it had sat there since the afternoon. & the crowning touch: the bathrooms were in serious need of attention.
Now, about Open Table: we redeemed 10,000 points to get a $100 dining certificate. When we went to redeem it, the host said it was rejected. When he reached Open Table, they said someone had cancelled the certificate & there was nothing they could do about it. So we had to pay $104.00 + tip out of pocket. When we got home I called Open Table they researched it & said it was their fault; someone on their end cancelled the certificate by mistake but there was nothing they could do about it @ this point & we still had to the points to redeem. No thank you. I just went to a restaurant we would never have gone to without the certificate & had to lay out over a hundred dollars. Plus we never receive the points anymore with reservations w/o having to call customer service. As time goes on, Open Table seems to be getting worse instead of improving.
The food was underwhelming. The appetizer choices were scarce. The asparagus was blah. The beet salad was mediocre. As for the entrees, the meat and chicken was good but why leave the chicken foot on the plate?! Is that some sort of French custom?! It’s nauseating. Furthermore, the side dishes were poor. The Brussel sprouts were drenched and over saturated. The macaroni gratin was very bland. Overall, I was dissatisfied with the meal.
I will not return to the restaurant.
The food came out so quickly when I explained my fiance and I we're in a rush to get to a movie. Drinks and desserts aren't crazy overpriced which helped make the end of the night easier. Will go back a d recommend many to visit.
Beautiful day for lunch on the Atlantic.Great onion soup, nicoise and wine. Lovely service and great view. Always a winner even with the construction and the horrible parking.

THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST RESTUARANT TO GO TO TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. IT WAS A SPECIAL OCCASION FOR ME ANDMY WIFE 40 YEAR ANNIVERSARY AND MY DAUGHTER ORDER A BOTTLE OF CHAMPANGE AS A GIFT EXCEPT THEY DID NOT HAVE WHAT SHE ORDERED. INSTEAD OF SAYING WE DO NOT HAVE THAT EVEN THOUGH IT IS ON OUR WINE LIST THEY TOOK THE ORDER AND THE MONEY AND WHEN WE ARRIVED TOLD ME THEY CHANGED WHAT WAS ORDERED SINCE THEY DID NOT HAVE IT. I THEN ORDERED CAVIAR OF WHICH THEY ONLY HAD ONE TYPE AND THE WAITRESS INFORMED ME NO MORE CAVIAR SOLD OUT LIKE THE WINE ALL GONE. I THEN ORDERED A FILET MIGION STEAK WELL DONE BUTTEFLYED AND I WAS INFORMED THAT THE CHEF DID NOT KNOW HOW TO BUTTERFLY A STEK. 101 OF COOKING IS KNOWLEDGE ON HOW TO BUTTERFLY A STEAK. RECAP NO WINE, NO CAVIAR, NO KNOWLEDGE AS TO HOW TO BUTTERFLY A STEAK. DURING THE MEAL THE WAITRESS CONSTANTLY LEANED ACROSS THE TABLE SO THAT WE COULD SMELL HER ARMPITS SWEAT AND ALL INSTEAD ON FILING THE WAER GLASS OR PUTTING DOWN THE SILVERWARE FROM EACH SIDE. THIS WAS CONSTANT AS THE BUSY BOY PROCEED TO DO THE SAME. WHEN I COMPLAINED THE MAITRE D' TRIED TO EXPLAIN THIS IS HOW THEY DO IT INCORRCT BUT THIS IS HOW THEY DO IT.
DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE BURN IT IN THE FIREPLACE, DONATE IT TO A WORTHY CAUSE THIS IS TERRIBLE DO NOT EAT HERE GO ELSEWHERE.
