High energy and gracious, Avenue Kitchen and Bar is a place where one can enjoy terrific cocktails and comforting, Latin-American inspired cuisine from Executive Chef Audiel Vera and his seasoned and attentive staff. Our food offers flavors & technique that will welcome and excite you.
We have seating available in our large dining room, our bar & lounge, a seasonally-opened outdoor area, and a small private dining space available for intimate dinner parties.
We are conveniently located on 36th Street, commonly known as "the Avenue" in Hampden. Metered parking is available in a full lot in the rear of the restaurant as well as the front and surrounding streets. Entrances are located at both the front and rear and are easily accessible for all.

    Unfortunately there was an “issue” in the kitchen. We were one of three tables at 12:00 noon for lunch. Our meal (burgers) took 40 minutes! The server was lovely but it was out of her control. The two other tables were loud and FaceTime ing. There was no policy in place to ask them to stop. It was sooo annoying! Rude as well. We are not running back to this restaurant! PS-our food was good!

    The appetizers and the happy hour drink were great! The negative part of our experience was when my friend’s fish sandwich arrived over cooked with dark breading falling off of it. She asked for a new sandwich. The manager said that since she didn’t try the fish, he would not be making by a new sandwich. We were not charged for the sandwich. However, that interaction spoiled our entire experience and evening.

    Our party of 4 was seated promptly. We all had the Summer Sangria which was delicious! All of our dinners were excellent. We are repeat customers and we are always happy with our food and drinks.

    There was no more naan bread so they kept on service us white bread toast with crab dip & pasta.

    Food was TERRIBLE, service was great. I sent my dish back. I never wanted to go to Avenue Kitchen because its to hit or miss l. I wish i did NOT go today, complete miss.

    Restaurant has a really cool vibe and decorated well. We went at 8:15 on a Saturday night and it took our server about 10 minutes to come take our drink order and food order at the same time. Drinks came about another 10 minutes later, and food about another 20 minutes. Food was great- decent portions and great flavor. A little pricy for what it was, but overall good quality food and fun atmosphere

    The food was delicious and the staff was very accommodating. It was a special event and super crowded but they made room for everyone and we enjoyed every minute of the time there. They had the CLEANEST WELL APPOINTED WOMENS BATHROOM OF ANY RESTAURANT I HAVE BEEN IN LATELY. BRAVO!

    I really enjoy coming here. Tiffany is the best bartender ever! I appreciate that David is visible for almost every event that takes place. His presence is important and it shows that he's invested in the community and his patrons.
