Avenue Bistro Pub
Good food, excellent service, good vibe, will definitely return
You must try the firecracker calamari, it’s my favorite! Also, the shrimp and lobster marrichiare is just delicious! You can’t go wrong here. Tuesday is half price wine bottles!
When we walked in it didn't look promising, the bar was loaded with dirty glasses, we saw empty tables but there were 2 other parties waiting before us. We stood around for 15 minutes before we were seated and it felt as if they were in over their heads despite the fact that there was enough staff.
We got seated at the table which was ready when we arrived.
However after that it was smooth sailing, the waiter was nice and efficient, we shared the arugula salad (it came on 2 plates) and had the filet mignon medallions and the meatloaf. Generous portions, good tasting food. Both were excellent, the waiter came to check in as well as brought a condiment immediately.
Definitely will come back here with the larger family as plenty choices. Didn't see vegetarian mains (except for pasta) but think the kitchen will accommodate. Desserts looked great but we passed as we had cake at home.
Came here for a Saturday brunch and we were lucky enough to sit out back in their outdoor area, very quiet and spacious. Service was attentive, quick, and wonderful- had the $5 mimosas and lobster eggs benedict and my friend had the stuffed French toast- both were incredible! Highly recommend and will be returning!
Avenue is a gem! In addition to the food being consistently good, the servers are attentive, responsive, and charming. There are very few restaurants that my family would ever agree to visit on a holiday in lieu of having a dinner prepared at home....Avenue is definitely one of these. Thank you for making us feel welcome in this lovely place.
We have been to Avenue Bistro before and we love the restaurant. The food is great and the staff is warm and friendly for sure! We will be back again and will recommend the restaurant over and over again.
The food was excellent and plentiful and the server, Cheryl was attentive, friendly but not at all intrusive. I’ve been here many times and love it
Thanks All good
I loved the food and cozy atmosphere. It was a pretty busy night and our waitress was exceptionally efficient and friendly. I have two divers scallops. Best scallops I ever had! I enjoyed it so much I went back a second time that week.
Best brunches! We have been coming here for Birthday brunches and it’s always so delicious and priced well.
Meals were average, no complaints except for one slightly undercooked burger. Service was fine but unenthusiastic. We probably won’t return but would not resist going there if friends chose it.
We have been going to Avenue for years. We love it. The food and service are consistently great and it is good for everyday dining or special occasions. We have done private parties, brunch, lunch and dinner there. ALL good. And note: I will never get scallops anywhere else because Chef Michael’s preparation of scallops is second to NONE!!!
I might also add that I am THRILLED that the gluten free lava cake is back on the menu. It is YUMMMMM.
Brought my grandchildren, ages 2 and 5. Kid’s menu suited their tastes. I love the 10- spice tuna!
Our whole party enjoyed their meals served by our friendly waitress. Only glitch, my coffee came after dessert was finished.
This place was amazing and lovely! The food was fantastic but the only thing I would consider to be a small inconvenience was the time it took to receive our food. My partner and I noticed that several tables were able to grab their food before we were even though we were there 30 minutes in advance. Other than that the place was beautiful and amazing and the servers were wonderful people.
The food we had was all very good with the surprising exception of the grilled chicken breast I ordered for the special salad I wanted to make my dinner. We loved the "Voodoo" wings and the fried green tomatos with burrata as our apps. The bread pudding dessert almost killed me, it was so good! (I think it was praline with bourbon sauce. Holy Cow did I spend a lot of points on that dessert!!) We'll definitely go back.
Lovely hospitality and delicious, traditional food done well. From soup to dessert, it was a very enjoyable meal out. We will be back!
The service was great. Always friendly and polite. The restaurant is very clean and inviting. They never rush you. We had brunch for the first time, we had only been there for dinner. We had pecan french toast and a side of bacon, and stuffed french toast with a side of bacon. Both meals were delicious. Not the usual 2 pieces of bacon for a side, it was a full small plate done just the way we like it-crispy. Coffee was refilled without asking. Great place for brunch and dinner, can't wait to try lunch!
The servers were all very pleasant. It did take a while to get our soup/salad after our appetizer, but the food was very good and we weren't rushed. I would definitively go back.
We have been there several times, food and service is always great.
Always a fantastic meal.
We had a table of 5. Service was great from Connor. Food was delicious. Everyone was happy with their food. Variety of items ordered. Scallops, fish tacos, meatloaf, mushroom burger, Brie , and spinach artichoke dip appetizers delicious as well.
We went for a quiet New Year's Day Brunch. While it was a bit on the noisy side, the food was good and it was very Kid friendly, which was nice as our tend to be a little loud themselves.
A perfect restaurant for a family dinner on Christmas Eve. Certainly going back for the first birthday celebration of 2019
The menu was limited. The steak sandwich was mostly fat and grizzle. Too much garlic, and I like garlic.
satisfactory. noise level very high. service good. some food served not hot enough
This was my second time eating here. Just not memorable food either time. Fun time with friends and service was simply okay. Don’t think I would recommend or go back.
Food is always delicious! This is our favorite brunch place.
Our waitress Melissa was amazing! Incredible service!!
Been there for lunch and dinner and enjoyed them both.
Food is creatively paired and prepared.
Theres a friendly buzz when its crowded and very quiet in the off hours.
Melissa our server was fun, prompt, and informative. The food was excellent. The scallops were prepared perfectly and my crab cakes were delicious.
Good food! Scallops! Good atmosphere esp for Verona.
Consistently Excellent. Third visit in 3 weeks. Salmon and lobster Mac and cheese are favorites.
From start to finish our evening at the Avenue Bistro Pub was really nice. The wait staff is incredibly friendly, patient and knowledgable and the food was just as ordered. Great burger and portobello burger, excellent caesar salads and a peanut butter pie to die for. Thanks to ABP for a fun evening!
Perfect for our large group! We had a nice baby shower for a friend. Service was great, they were very accommodating! Would recommend getting a changing table installed in one of the bathrooms. We have an infant and we noticed a lot of other families with babies, so although the restaurant itself was family-friendly, it was unpleasant having to change our boy on the bathroom floor.
The food and service were 👍. The only problem was the acoustics were not good. It was very hard to hear others at the table especially if the speak softly. Not a good idea to go if you haven’t seen the other couple in a long time. Again great meal!
Food was pretty good. The ladies both ordered a pasta dish with lobster in it. Both said it was kind of oily, but overall just ok. I had a filet that was delicious and my buddy had a bbq shrimp over cheesy grits which he said was really good. I’ll be back to give it another shot.
This is a place that never disappoints. Consistently great food, service, and ambiance. The wine list is moderate but carefully chosen and very reasonable (where do you find an Amarone for $35 bucks at a restaurant?). We have NEVER had a bad meal here and any special occasions we go here for, remain special, vs tainted by a bad experience. Easy to park behind the restaurant, and in good weather a nice outdoor back patio dining experience.
Four of us enjoyed Sunday Brunch outdoors on the patio at The Avenue and everything from the omelettes and the OMG potatoes to the French Toast stuffed with cream cheese was delicious. The only thing to watch for is the stuffed French Toast, because not mentioned on the menu is that it is brought out with powdered sugar and soaked in maple syrup, which was unacceptable for me. So I needed that to be sent back. However, our waiter was very accommodating and returned quickly with fresh dry French Toast with cream cheese on the side which was wonderful. The drinks were good and the banana bread pudding was amazing with 4 spoons! Will definitely return for Brunch as well as dinner and our NYC friends loved it as well.
Our waitress, Melissa, was very attentive and her recommendations were right on
Always enjoy dining here! Nice decor and interesting variety of items on the menu - fresh ingredients. Creative salads - creative take on chicken milanese ( arugula w/ w/ dried cranberries, pine nuts, goat cheese w/ a white balsamic dressing - really delicious! Lovely outdoor dining patio and easy parking in the lot behind the building!! There's a bar, too!
