Avecita at Seafire Resort & Spa
One of our favorite restaurants on Island. Food was excellent
Great meal.I had the scallops, modern tapas dish and then the braised octopus.Others had the lamb shank ,a snapper and a strip waygu ,all really enjoyed!Ate outside with great atmosphere!
My family and I joined the restaurant for the Tasting Table. I have one teenage who is a very picky eater and he loved it! Staff service was amazing and very knowledgeable about ingredients. Very inventive and delicious. I would highly recommend this experience!!!
Not liking the communal dining
Absolutely delicious! Impeccable service!
Excellent tapas menu perfectly executed! Loved the potatoes bravas, and the unusual dessert menu!
Excellent food! Wonderful service! We ate their twice during our stay on Grand Cayman. Will again when we return!
First off, this is buffet style high end food. We did not know this, thus a lower rating from me. The food was really delicious but for what you are paying per person it would have been helpful to know it was a buffet. I didn’t see that listed when we made our reservation. Fun drink menu and excellent service but we prefer table food service at dinner. It is tapas style and there is a great range of foods to choose from, even for our vegetarian daughter. There is also a paella station but we didn’t try it as we filled up on other foods.
Everything was excellent. One of the best overall meals we’ve had
Food pretty good. Didn’t ask us whether we wanted to sit outside, and we got sat in a corner by an exit even though the restaurant was pretty empty.
Great place to spend our 30th anniversary!
Terrible, will not be returning. Wait staff rude...not a positive experience at all. Ran out of several items on the menu...when they only have 4 main entrees and run out that is a problem. The first course was a little better than average and then down hill form there. I cannot recall the last time I had such a lousy experience dining. To make it even worse, the fans on the outdoor terrace were loud and unable to be turned own. Bad, bad, bad is the simple summary at a very expensive spot. Too bad as it looked very nice.
Amazing service and experience
Food taste and presentation was good and service attentive. Understanding that it is a tapas menu, but portion size for full entrees and sides were extremely small and greatly detracted from perceived value.
We did the Chefs tasting at Avecita and it was amazing!!! The taste and visual presentation put this experience over the top. Great evening!! Spectacular food!! We did the wine pairings also which were excellent.
Tapas were utterly fantastic. A perfect meal.
Fantastic evening at Avecita, amazing food and wine, superb service, and very pleasant surroundings, definitely recommend.
Not only was the food delicious, our waiter, and the chef, went above and beyond to accommodate my egg allergy. Although everything was tasty, the highlights were the pink shrimp and cauliflower dish.
My new favorite place to dine in Cayman! The place is beautiful, the service impeccable, the food is divine!
Excellent dinner, great service and good location. We took friends this time and would definitely go to Avecita again
I can not recommend this place enough. The chefs counter is one of the most creative, delicious meals I’ve ever had and set in front of the chef’s open kitchen. Staff is amazingly friendly and attentive, as well as knowledgeable.
Beyond amazing! Best meal I’ve ever had on Grand Cayman
No disappointments here. The front and back of house are true professionals.
Was here with team from work. The food and staff are great. We Tried there tapas night and there was music. Will be back.
We dined here on our first night at the hotel. The food was under seasoned. Grilled cauliflower was barely grilled; one portion didn’t even have grill marks. Was supposed to be several textures but we only got one. Server brought the wrong drink but thankfully comped it. Dessert was tiny, the cake was the size of a sugar wafer. We were much happier with the food at the beach bar, Cocoloba.
Mosquitoes were a major problem outside. Eventually had to ask the waitress that we move inside as we had a child with us. We even tried their bug spray to know avail. Obviously, not their fault but would’ve been nice if they would’ve given us a heads up with a little one. Moved inside and saw our waitress one more time. Extremely poor service. Handed the busboy or credit card so that we could leave. Would not go back. Many better options on the island.
I've been coming to Grand Cayman for almost twenty years. Avecita is the first new restaurant in almost a decade that I've tried that really blew me away - all the more so for being inside a hotel complex. The service was wonderful, but a touch spotty towards the end of our meal. I would chalk that up to growing pains, and it hardly affects my desire to recommend.
SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT. And look me up - i never give bad reviews. We were so disappointed. We were celebrating our anniversary. We were staying at a nearby hotel and excited about trying this newly constructed hotel restaurant. We were ignored most of our meal, our salad and entrees came at the same time with no apology, and our steak was served with NO accompaniments, sauce, and what looked like a plastic children’s plate unlike our other dishes. No one checked with us for 20 minutes until we flagged down someone for the bill. When they dropped the bill 10 minutes went by until we walked inside to try and pay it. The fish was too salty and oily and the steak was soooo bad. It tasted like they bought it at a grocery store.
Great tasting menu. The perfect portions to satisfy anyones palate. Wine pairing was exceptional. Sous chef explained all courses thoroughly. Line chef on the meat station was a machine getting all the meals out with great precision. He was actually a joy to watch.
We were on a work reward trip. The crew was very nice! As you walk in , you can smell their wonderful food. We truly enjoyed the Avecita Experience....
We love the hotel but were disappointed with Avecita for dinner. We dined at Avecita three times over the last two years of traveling to the hotel. Cocktails were very good, however the food was disappointing. Tapas are OK but the tortilla was dry and over cooked. Stay away from the steaks, they grill for a minute to create the grill marks and finish in the oven. No char and tasteless. Expect to walk away with a $175-$300 bill for some tapas and cocktails. Better choices on the Island.
Very goog place, one of the best in CI.. restaurant is outstanding abd the waiters are great.
Great food, great service and they know what they are doing. We left them choise our wine with our food, and it was fantastic.
Having read the great reviews on Avecita, we reserved a table for dinner expecting an authentic Spanish experience. While the décor is really nice and the atmosphere is very upscale, modern and stylish, the food fell short to impress us. The menu was quite limited in its offerings! The the grilled octopus was great, but the scallops and shrimps were bland, the patata bravas was meh, and the steak under seasoned. The waitress was reluctant to serve us anything from next door Ave, even though the hostess gave us Ave’s menu and said we could order from it. After much resistance, she finally agreed to get us from Ave the tuna tartare, which was good, and the mashed potatoes for the steaks. Then came the bill, which rivaled any from an upscale restaurant in New York or London! $500 for a party of 5, for a few tapas dishes, 4 main courses and 2 elegant desserts! We have no problem shelling out $500 for dinner if we were to be served a memorable meal. Alas, the food at Avecita was less than average while the prices were way above.
We sat at The chef‘s table for dinner while on our honeymoon. The food was incredible, the eait staff opened a special bottle of wine for us and they gave us a special dessert. I would highly recommend it.
Went for my birthday dinner while at Grand Cayman. This is my most favorite restaurant on the Island!
Everything is outstanding from the service, to the food, the ambiance and even the chef and his staff. I can’t wait to go back again!!!
Perfect in every sense
Very disappointing food for the price.
The meal and food was excellent. We requested to be seated outside since we had our little toddler with us. There were no fans outside and it was uncomfortably warm as well as mosquitoes. A small mixup with our order, but that was no big deal. However, my water was never refilled once. We waited almost 30 min for our dessert despite the order going in. Our waiter was not attentive at all. A shame, because the meal itself was excellent. And our service the night before was outstanding at Ave.
