   We had an overall great time at avec. The food was delicious and aside from our server, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

   Allergies beware! There was so much to like about avec, including the sweet potatoes, blackened cod, cocktails and pitas. Nice, lively atmosphere. Unfortunately our friend with a severe allergy was served food that contained the ingredient she had spoken to the server about avoiding. The allergy had been flagged appropriately on the order, apparently. Our friend even verbally confirmed when the food was delivered. She only realized after eating some that it contained what she has to avoid, otherwise face illness and pain. Our friend sought out the server and the manager, and confirmed the food was prepared inappropriately and was unsafe for her. Unacceptable. We will not trust this kitchen again.

   We had a group of 10 celebrating our grad school reunion. Service was attentive, friendly, and efficient. Avec has been serving Chicago with outstanding food and dining experiences for years and continues to do so. Highly recommend especially the bacon wrapped meatballs

   Great space. Really good food & service. Perfect for going with friends and sharing dishes. Jaime, our server was very attentive and pleasant. Was a fan of the original Avec and glad they have kept up their game.

   Remove the service fees. It’s just another way of asking customer to pay more. Customers will pay lower tips as a result .

   Highly recommend Avec! My friends and I were looking for a good brunch spot and Avec delivered. The coffee service was so beautiful and the food was amazing. My friends raved about the avocado toast and the shakshuka. Plus our server was attentive and really went above and beyond to deliver on a good meal.

   Well, there were 10 of us and that size group can be tough! 8 had never dined at Avec before! We arrived on time to 3 gracious receptionist/ hostess! Sat immediately and greeted by our kind, welcoming waiter! He was on top of his game and knew what it took to provide proper service! Good Food & Great Wines always helps too!
