   The scallops were pretty fishy tasting and I had written in my reservation that it was my daughters 25th bday and no one said anything or recognized it and yet bdays were being celebrated all around us. We had better dining experiences on the island.

   The food is well presented, expertly prepared and above all the service is exceptional. Your servers are there when you need them, but never hovering. They are all friendly and gracious. I can’t imagine a much better level of service

   We have been to Ave three times before - all good - but this was a disappointing experience. Our server did not speak good English and was difficult to understand. Our table had not been cleaned properly - it was sticky. Food quality was not as good as previous visits - I had lobster which was small, overcooked and came with no sides which is poor for $45.00 We did not stay late but the staff seemed to want us to leave - we sat outside and they turned off the cooling fan near to us and gave us our check as soon as we finished our meal without us asking and without asking if we wanted a coffee or anything else. We had not complained about anything and we were very pleasant to the staff throughout so we cannot explain this. So we feel that we are being generous in giving three stars for a restaurant of this supposed quality.

    Ave was a great culinary experience. We tried their tasting menu that provided a 4 course meal (that also had an option for a drink pairing) , my husband opted for the drink pairing and to our surprise they were full glass drinks! It was worth every penny. The array of flavors, the service, ambiance and quality of food was worth the experience. If you’re staying at the Kimpton or close by, I recommend visiting Ave.

    We had braised pork and 8 oz tenderloin, which were both amazing. Charcuterie tray was good. Baked Alaska dessert was awesome with pour over rum on fire presentation. Service excellent.

    The panko crusted tuna was divine! We loved it so much we went back a second night. The staff was friendly and attentive. The setting is gorgeous especially at sunset. Overall, very trendy, contemporary vibe with excellent food and service!

    Where to begin- my fiancee and I celebrated our engagement with a wonderful dinner here. The staff went out of the way and booked us the nicest seat on the terrace, with a beautiful view (though it was later in the evening and the sun had already gone down), and even laid out rose petals on the table for us prior to our arrival. There were several servers who accommodated us throughout the evening, but in particular, Atai (sp?) was exceptional. Very kind, genuine, and friendly- he definitely made our already delightful night even more wonderful. The food was absolutely amazing. We both had the 4 course tasting menus, and each got different entrees and shared to get the full experience. Everything was immaculate and delicious. As if things could get any better (and I know this wasn't planned by Ave, but still), there was an event at the beach and we got to witness a beautiful fireworks display from the best seat in the house. The only slight concern was that there were quite a bit of mosquitoes, but Atai hooked us up with a bug repellent spray which was perfect. I honestly can't say nicer things- obviously was a magical evening already going into it, but a huge, special thank you to the entire Ave staff for making things so perfect!

    The food was amazing but the service was even better! We were greeted with smiles and taken directly to our seat. AP took care of our table, and he was so kind and helpful. My husband and I were here for our fifth anniversary, but also recently found out we’re expecting; AP was quick to recommend menu items that were both delicious and pregnancy safe, including the Cosno, a delicious mocktail. Everyone was so kind and accommodating- we even got a great sunset photo thanks to another member of the staff. :) To top it off, we received a card signed from employees reading “Happy Anniversary,” in their native language - complete with a celebratory dessert. Hoping they all see this and know how appreciative we were! Customer service can be hard, but these people made it look easy.

    Gorgeous hotel and restaurant. Great bar with amazing rum selection. Food was very good for the most part. Scallops excellent. Grouper good a little salty. Short rib good though sauce was overpowering. Rib eye also good though a little salty.

    We enjoyed dinner at Ave. Portions were okay. We decided to share a few items. We had coconut shrimp, scallops and octopus to start. As our main we had seafood risotto and mussels. Everything was so delicious but my favourites were the scallops and mussels! Service was very attentive and quick. Two downfalls - this which is not a fault of the restaurant but outside had a TON of mosquitos as it’s the season for that. Second, we were seated at a not so nice table. All other couples were seated at nice tables for four but we were sat at a small two top. When we asked to be moved we were moved beside a plant which had an abundance of bugs. Therefore, we ended up inside.

    Our last night on GC and we chose an absolutely wonderful restaurant in Ave. service was wonderful and the food was delicious. We ate on the terrace with a nice view of the sun setting. I like Ave because it’s a really nice restaurant in a spectacular resort but kids were all about and I live that high-end but no pretentious vibe. If you’re going to Grand Cayman you must do a dinner at Ave.

    The food was WOW, the Panko crusted tuna WOW! They forgot my chocolate soufflé but did bring a piece of cake for my wife’s birthday. It was a little windy outside but tolerable. I would definitely recommend.

    We had a drink at the bar first and bartender was so personable. I can’t remember his name but he was from Serbia. We had dinner outside and it was a perfect night. The wait staff was so attentive but not annoying. Dinner was excellent. I had the tuna and my husband had the grouper. We both loved our meals. Highly recommend this restaurant!

    Such a wonderful outdoor setting amongst palm trees and nice breeze. The food was both beautiful in presentation and incredibly fresh. The pork belly was the exception however, over fried and dry. But otherwise the burrrata cheese and hummus plates were amazingly delicious. All of the entrees were super yummy. Our waiter, whose name started with”T” and is Asian, was just A++. He was just amazing. So amazing knowledgeable about every dish. He made excellent recommendations. He kept our wine glasses full. He was appropriately attentive; the perfect gentleman waiter. I would highly recommend Ave.

    The scallops appetizer was delicious, as were the drinks. The cowgirl ribeye was so so and a little over cooked (I asked for medium rare on the rare side, I got closer to medium.) the risotto side was also so so.

    AVE was amazing and so beautiful inside the restaurant. The service was impeccable and loved every person there. The food was great too and our server was sure to ask if we had any food allergies, etc. I would highly recommend to anyone staying at Kimpton or on Grand Cayman to try it!
