Avanti Food and Beverage

We had a great time at Avanti with our group of 8. The waitstaff was exceptional and the food was delectable!

Having a reservation for outdoor seating and dinner shouldn’t mean sitting in uncomfortable, wooden bleachers. If you’re lucky enough to get seated at an actual table, I’m sure it’ll be at least a decent experience.

PROS:
Avanti is a classic, Denver rooftop dining experience. The ambience is fun, youthful and most* of the staff are great. Highly recommend the brussel sprouts and truffle fries. This place exemplifies young, urban, happy-hour culture.

CONS:
Do you miss being ignored and mistreated by your college sorority sisters? Have no fear— the avanti servers will help you re-live your glory days by ignoring your presence. There is one impressively passive aggressive server who I manage to interact with, in one form or another, each time I dine in. Her sassy tone and rude inflection would put Regina George to shame.

I imagine management already knows who the problem servers are, but I would like to emphasize that our main server today was surprisingly pleasant compared to her coworkers)

Love Avanti! We went mid day, during the week and it was pretty quiet but they had everything set up for COVID, so we felt really comfortable being there. The food and drinks were great and the atmosphere was really nice.

With everything going on with Covid, they did a great job spacing things out! I loved the reservation system because it allowed for a time slot and safe practices. Food was fantastic - we had food from meta Asian and the bistro and it was quick and SO tasty! You get a lot of food for the money so it’s wonderful.

The hosts on first floor were rude. The host on second floor John was awesome and very accommodating.

Made a reservation for outdoor seating very intentionally and they refused to let me even wait for outdoor seating, prioritizing walk ups before us.

It’s the type of place you’d go out to with friends on a Friday night. Very youthful energy. I went midday Saturday, so it was pretty quiet, but in a pleasant way. The staff was very helpful and kind. There’s a wide variety of food options. You can order from your phone, but you have to find the vendor’s location and pick it up yourself once it’s ready.

the food selection and drink choice is amazing. The views are amazing as always.

It was great for a group of us to go for a friends 21st birthday

I specifically went out of my way to make a countertop reservation. Upon arrival I was sat on the ground on a dirty wooden bleacher area. Service was very poor from both the hosts and the bartender. I only saw my server once. After asking the host to seat me at a countertop seeing as that is what I requested, I was told that I couldn’t get a countertop because my party wasn’t large enough even though there were multiple other parties of two sitting at countertops all around us.

Service was not great! For it being our first experience there our server was not helpful.

Everything was on point! Great drinks and delicious food. Service was excellent!

Our service was horrible. The food is good but our waitress never checked in on us or asked if we needed anything else. Very unsatisfactory for a place that was highly recommended.

We got our reservation on time, but the server took 5-6 minutes to come take our simple 2 drink order. We didn't get to choose seating, so we had the hard barstools which aren't comfortable at all. I was wearing a mini skirt & have back issues so obviously I would prefer a backrest and level seating, not a barstool, where I could not even sit properly. But there was no where to request it when booking the reservation. No one checked on us or removed table trash through the duration of our visit. We are repeat guests so we will be back but perhaps get some more comfortable barstool seats.

Out of ALL the tables to sit at - I was at the LEAST comfortable place they could’ve put me, plenty of other spaces open AND I made reservations in plenty of time before going.

Drinks are OK, service is OK, just wondering why I spend money here to be treated like anything less. 😂 won’t visit again

We were visiting from out of town. Avanti came highly recommended. Food selection was great with even better quality. Everything was exceptional minus our waitress. With social distancing guidelines in place, I believe bartenders were floating around to tables for drink orders. Our waitress was rude and snippy - not very inviting and always felt like we were wasting her time. Other than that, our hostess and busser were very friendly and helpful.

Horrible service! We sat for 30 min, with no service. We ended up going to the bar ourselves to get a drink. We saw even two waitresses for a table, and four total waitresses in our section, not One came to our table. Maybe because it was the color of our skin, we were the only non-white people. We felt disappointed and uncomfortable, we ended up making a different reservation at a different restaurant.

You cannot lose by going to Avanti... Slightly nice for customers that the place isnt crazy packed cuz of current conditions.

Felt like a bother to the staff, very lost on the experiences itself. The food was over priced for what you are really getting. Other parties were out of control, and with covid were risking EVERYONE getting sick. I would not go here again.

quiero arepas is the BEST. and avantis patio is pretty awesome too.

It was so much fun! Beer is amazing! Service is great too!

PHENOMENAL

This was the perfect spot for our group to meet-up! They had a menu that we all enjoyed and we had some kids in our group that had some space to move around at our table/couch area. Cant wait to go back!

To start off, I reserved an outdoor table and we were put inside. I wasn't having it so we were moved outside while trivia was going on and I couldn't even hear my boyfriend sitting right next to me. Then it took a server 28 minutes to ask if we wanted a drink. Before that I had to ask for water!! There were only 2 vendor options and when we were checking out, our food was no longer available. It was quite the experience.

Really enjoyed this time. Process was generally smooth as everyone learns the ropes for going out in these new times. Our server was great, and our whole group had a wonderful time.

Unfortunately our server was incredibly rude and inattentive. She was unpleasant with every interaction from the outset, and I had to get up and ask her for everything we needed, multiple times. She was constantly just standing around the bar not doing anything. Eventually had to ask another server to close us out because she just stopped giving us any service. Not impressed, especially considering dining capacity was far reduced from normal capacity, it wasn’t even busy. I’d give her name but she never said what it was. Food was great, we had the fried chicken from Lea Jean’s.

I only chose Avanti because my companion wanted to eat at The Rotary. I made reservations for a regular table. They were very busy and when we arrived, we were seated on a bench with a small coffee table in front of it. Due to COVID, we had to order food through an app so it would be contactless but a server came by to take and deliver drink orders. Turns out, the Rotary wasn’t even an available option. We left and ate elsewhere.

Great atmosphere and view of downtown. Food from the French restaurant was very good. I'll come here again.

Need to communicate to guests that they have a set time at their tables before another reservation has your table & they kick you out.

Our service was awful. The waitress was inattentive, and it took us 10-15 minutes to get refills of water after we asked her. We would notice she immediately served other tables their alcohol, but since we only wanted water, she felt like she could ignore us. The food was great, but if I ever want Avanti's selection again, I'll just get it to go.

Overall service was wonderful and quick! Food was average but the atmosphere and the decor for lounge area on the first floor was pretty!

For our first meal in a restaurant in months we went back to Avanti. Reservations were simple, the staff was really good about enforcing distancing without being obnoxious about it. It felt good and safe. Food from the Rotary was amazing as always.

The music was so loud in the top floor where we were sitting- it hurt my 2 friends years and waitress was nowhere to be found most of the time
