food was absolutely amazing, even came out pretty fast. however, there were not enough servers working which impacted my service. our server was so busy, literally not only serving multiple tables but also acting as the bartender as well, resulting in poor service for my party. then for gratuity to be included for a party of 2 is kind of crazy, for a large party is one thing but for a party of 2 is kind of a reach, especially when they know they’re short staffed and can’t provide quality service.

The lobster Mac & cheese was delicious, hearty portion. Chilean sea bass was moist, perfectly seasoned.

We had a great time. We went to celebrate a birthday brunch. My party of 3 really had a good time and the food as well as the atmosphere was great. I would go back again for dinner

I had a great night at Avana…I wish I could give it 5 stars but something that bothered me was our waiter was moved to outside dining right after delivering our drinks. She walked by us about 5x and didn’t mention being moved. After 20 minutes I had to get up and ask what happened. Our new waiter was so sweet and apologized for that. They had a live DJ that was playing great and I mean great music but it was soooo loud! Overall great experience and I’ll definitely be back!! Food was amazing❤️

I’ve fallen in love with this restaurant brand. From the food to the ambiance, every one of their locations sets the standard. Avana was great, the oxtail pizza delicious, and our server was so personable. 10/10

We were excited to try the restaurant because we enjoyed the other downtown locations. First, I’ll say the service was great. Server was knowledgeable about the menu, gave great recommendations and things were just as she said they would be. The food came out fast and hot and it was ok. That said, the location of Avana is not easy to find for first time visitors. Once inside, the space was very tight, hard to maneuver getting from the front door to our table. The place is long and narrow. Tables appear too large for the space. Parking is not good in a somewhat enclosed residential neighborhood and valet service was costly for the location. The menu offerings were creatively titled but overpriced for the experience and location. The restroom was not fresh, the trash cans overflowed and when exiting it felt like you were dumped right out to a table too close to the door. Perhaps smaller tables more fitting for the layout, reworked menu and prices, freshen up the restrooms and check the trash and on a schedule would improve the experience. It felt like everything was too costly. It appeared to be equipped for outside dining but that was closed off. Good luck at this location.

This was our first time at Avana but it won't be our last! I stumbled upon this restaurant when I was making reservations for my husband's birthday and I'm SO GLAD that I did. Everything about the experience was fantastic. The food was DELICIOUS and the portion sizes were generous (especially the lobster mac & cheese). Every employee we encountered (from the hostess to the kitchen staff) was professional, pleasant, and very attentive to our needs. The ambiance gives upscale/sophisticated/sexy. It's in a great location and the outside seating area is both beautiful and serene. We've already staked out our area for our next visit : )
