An establishment clearly in need of leadership. Whomever is running it has lost interest in providing a top quality experience. Not worth the price.

We opted for the Liberty Room since we had 4 twenty-something’s with us who didn’t want to dress up much. Still, tip-top service from our waiter and picked a couple of wines that I always look for but rarely find. Bartenders were on their game and food, as usual, did not disappoint. White asparagus soup was out of this world.

Everything was great. My only complaint was about my Salad starter... filled with various different vegetables, but lacking in flavor. The chairs along the window looking out can be a little rough to sit in as the marquee across the street is for ever changing. But generally we like this place, great wine list, convenient to PA, not cheap but good food and service is worth it.

Food was good. Problem, like other restaurants, too much salt as seasoning

If you have Broadway tickets and plan to do a delicious lunch before the show, Aureole’s the place to go! The service is wonderful ( the server asks you immediately if there are any time constraints). The food is both healthy and exotic and the unique iced tea selection is a great alternative to water or seltzer ( if you’re not drinking alcohol). The presentation of the food is exquisite and although the portions are on the small side, you leave the restaurant feeling satisfied and not overly stuffed so that you fall asleep during the first act! I will definitely return to Aureole for lunch or dinner!

We ate there because we had theater tickets at Sondheim, which is right next door. We ordered from the pre-fix menu, and the food was excellent! We ate in the Liberty room, which help keep the noise level down.

The food and ambience was very good. The service needs improvement....or our waiter in particular. My party of 5 arrived at 5:45pm and ordered off the pre-theater menu. However, by 6:30pm we still didn't receive our appetizers and only received the wine about 6:25pm - the first bottle we ordered was not in stock. We had to leave at 7:40pm to make our 8pm show in time - so the desert was completely rushed which was too bad. So I recommend the food but give yourself extra time if are catching a show. Also, the main neon sign across the way from the Liberty Room can be jarring at times - but you are in Times Square.

It was pretty good; but I was expecting great, and was a little disappointed. Tried the diver scallops, the burger, and tagliatelle. All okay. But none had a wow factor that we have experienced with Charlie Palmer in the past. Very convenient to the theater district, however.

My wife and I are here for a pre-show dinner. They have a separate pre-show menu, but we ordered off the regular menu. Food was great (I got filet, she got salmon), and our waiter was very attentive and personable. We would definitely go back.

This was one of the worst meals I have ever had in an upscale New York restaurant. Risotto was very salty. I send back pasta as it was also too salty to eat. In addition it was tasteless. I had salmon instead which was ok. The dessert was dreadful. It was called a raspberry tarts...no raspberries just some jelly in thick cram with a hard shelll.....they should be ashamed serving this food

Stopped here before seeing Dear Evan Hansen, just a short walk away. Had a 6:00 reservation for the 8:00 show, no problems. The wait staff was helpful and attentive. When I used the restrooms could see and hear wait staff bounding up and down stairs with trays. My wife had the white asparagus soup and Taglietelle pasta. She loved both. I had the small portion risotto as a starter and the duck at the servers suggestion. Excellent meal, and the duck wasn’t as heavy as I thought it might be. I had the Lemon +Lime dessert. The lime sorbet was wonderfully tart, but then the lemon bar seemed too subtle.

Everything here was absolutely perfect from the reservation booking to the moment we left! We could not be any happier with this NYC dining experience. We started out at Carmine’s to try a popular NYC restaurant but there were no res left for the night and it was 1.5 hour wait so we found this place a short walk away and were so so happy we did! Tourist Resturants are over rated, this place is worthy of your time, travel and money. Beautiful inside and out, expansive wine collection and the food was just amazing! Perfect temp, flavor and presentation. We had a table of 5 and the service was awesome as well. We ordered the duck, lobster, chicken, and apps, all were delicious!! We are well traveled food snobs and this place was certainly on par with many of the great dining experiences we have had around the US and Caribbean. The space, location and atmosphere played a big part too, it’s really the whole package! Our server was wonderful, he was knowledgeable for being new on the job, very engaging, kind, professional and without the out dated pretense you still see in many finer dining places. We truly enjoyed being there and dealing with the staff, eating the wonderful fare, and we will certainly recommend to anyone we know in or traveling to NYC!

The service was impeccable and the ambiance was ideal for a date. The food itself was wonderful, the delightful interplay of flavors and made my date and me incredibly happy. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone going on a date or just eating a meal with a good friend. 5 stars out of 5.

One of our favorite restaurant in Manhattan, we met with friends for a wonderful gathering. We chose the 3 item option. We all started with the seared foil gras, which was stunning flavor and quantity-wise. One had the salmon entree which was cooked to perfection, that is, definitely rare and moist. The rest of us had the duck breast which was also just right and delicious. It was paired with a duck confit made with the leg meat; this had a strange taste oddly, and none of us could eat more than a bite or two of that. Very unusual for an Aureole entree. Desserts were distributed for sharing on the table as the last course...not my preferred approach and this was done without forewarning or consent. Nevertheless, they were all delicious, but left each of us hoping no one at the table had a communicable disease.... Despite these little oddities (for Aureole), we were seated in the Dining Room at one of the best quiet booth/tables, and enjoyed relaxed conversation, wine, and re-aquainting for nearly 4 hours. A lovely time with only small blemishes.

The food was absolutely great! My friend and I both loved everything we ordered. The only downside being that our server seemed a bit preoccupied and it took a while to get our desserts and coffee. Thought two hours would be sufficient for dinner before a play but we just barely made it to the theater. Overall it was a positive experience.

I opted for the 3 course a la carte menu, which was very filling. The amuse buche was a very nice smoked salmon roe tasting. This was followed by the "Apple & crab" appetizer.....tender chunks of lump crab on top of brioche toast, with frisée greens, paddlefish caviar all mixed with a green apple & cucumber dressing, garnished with ripe avacadoes.... All very refreshing. Next, as a main course, I had the whole poached lobster with leaks and baby carrots. The tender lobster meat is served a delicious Beurre Blanc, on top of a lobster 1/2 shell, so all of the meat is already picked for you. I chose the cheese plate for dessert...Lihue was a beautiful selection if French & Italian cheeses, served with French bread and fruit with honeycomb. A very nice dessert option for us diabetics. The service here was spot on, with an excellent "by the glass" wine selection. I can't wait to return!

In the Liberty Room where the Food was great but it was the service that really made it fabulous. Every person we encountered was excellent - personable, knowledgeable and efficient. It is now a must do pre theater for me - and am l looking forward to trying their more formal dining room as well.

Aureole is one of the finest restaurants I've been to. The food was exceptionally fresh and the chef took great care in preparing it to the best it could be. The salmon was described to me as sublime, the chicken was the most moist ever eaten and the pork chop was cooked to perfection.
The desserts was as inventive as they could get.
All in all a superb restaurant
