An absolutely amazing experience. Staff was professional and knowledgeable. Food was impeccable and made our special day even better. Would recommend to all
We LOVED Aureole. The food was delicious and the service was better than any other restaurant in New York that we've been to in recent memory. The wine director, Morgan, was also great. His pairing recommendations and overall approach to service made the meal wonderfully memorable. Thank you, Aureole.
It was a bad night. It started with disorganized service with delays in serving wine, bread etc. It was downhill from there the chef’s first offering which was insipid to a hors d of scallop ceviche which hadn’t ordered which was virtually tasteless. The hors d I had ordered was pretty good I was then in for about a 45 min wait for the entree which staff explained saying they had made an error. Even the sorbet I had ordered was served in an unappealing way. I had eaten earlier in the week at Jean George and Sushi Yasuda; wit was quite a fall in almost everything except the setting setting which is quite nice (I have dined here at least 6 times and twice at the old location-this was quite a bummer).
It is hard to find a truly great restaurant near the Theater District. Aureole is fabulous and beyond expectations. We were so excited to try this Charlie Palmer restaurant , and it lived up to our expectations. We started with the Scallop Ceviche and Lobster Rolls. Melted in our mouths. Delectable flavors, very unique. Our Entrees were equally as delicious. I had the Dover Sole, which was tender and flavorful. We ended our meal with the Chocolate Bundino, a perfect pair to our meals. Our server was outstanding. I need to mention that I had the BEST Dirty Martini I have ever had in my life. Can’t wait to go back. Definitely go before your next show!!
Very good experience overall! Our waiter went above and beyond to aak the chef for an alternate side dish for my boyfriend.
Went to Aureole with my family to celebrate my birthday after a matinee show on Broadway. Really enjoyed our meal and the waitress was sweet enough to get us four dessert samplers in honor of my birthday, because we couldn’t decide on just one or two!
We were disappointed in the food . The flavors were nondescript and my partner’s veal was stringy. We mentioned this to the waitstaff and he did not seem to care. For the price, we expected more.
Not impressed, we expected a better food from One Michelin Star Restaurant!
valentines menu food well done oversalted service not adequate would not go back
The food was fine but we wait for 50 mins for our main courses come to the table during lunch time which is much longer than we expected.
The food is beautifully prepared and the service is very attentive but the "new" Auerole is dim compared to the original location. Just two vases of flowers and it didn't have a romantic or calming sexy vibe. It was indistinguishable from any restaurant and seemed somewhat commercial. I expected a lot more and that's why I was disappointed in finding Auerole ordinary. If you are looking for an interesting tasty meal and good service it will suffice but I wasn't blown away and I'm not dying to go back.
Long wait for our table (over 30 minutes). We were ushered to the bar and given complimentary champagne.
I notified the restaurant that this was a birthday celebration. There was no acknowledgement. No candle. No singing. Disappointing.
Other than that, we enjoyed our food and drink. Service was prompt and friendly, but could have been more “elegant”.
Very disappointing Times Square tourist and pre theatre spot. Food and Sevice is Chain quality
We had a delightful evening of exquisite food, great wine and fine service. Eric was charming and professional. Not a beat was missed. Thank you and see you soon.
Great food and wine, the wine list impressive, the service impeccable. A place to return, great experience!
Great service food was great. I didn’t like my original order and was fine not eating it but the waitress insisted I order something to replace it. Definitely goes over and beyond!
We went for the Restaurant week promotion, and all our selections were excellent. The food is unusual and carefully prepared. The atmosphere is relaxed and the tables are fairly far apart. I would definitely return for the regular menu. Very convenient to Broadway theaters as well.
We were there for dinner during restaurant week. Special menu was nothing special. Baby greens salad was good. Highly overpriced. Not enough quality for the price charged.
This used to be may all time favorite restaurant, although I wasn't able to visit in the past year. I took a friend last Friday, bragging how wonderful the food is presented and, of course, an outstanding taste. Apps/entree/dessert were bland. How did the manage to send out six tasteless dishes? Perhaps the restaurant week was to blame but an establishment like Aureole should be shining during any occasion. Very disappointed. Won't go back there.
Went for lunch during Restaurant Week. Liberty Room has a nice atmosphere. Caesar salad was tasty and nice portion. Soup was cold as it was poured into the bowl at the table. Entrees of pork and Branzino were delicious. Pork was very tender. Desserts were wonderful. Nice touch to add chocolates with the dessert. Service was exceptional.
Went for restaurant week.
Ambiance was excellent. The Dinning room is beautiful.
Branzino was perfectly cooked
The leek gratin was delicious.
Ordering a salad was kind of a waste since there is not much talent needed for salad...
The pork was really good (much better than Caffe Boulud's!!)
Nice experience. Not awe inducing but really good.
It is nice, but nice is not enough... The food could be much better
One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had in NYC.
Brussels sprouts were the best thing I ate. Fries were also good, though soggy & soft at the bottom of the cup. Veal presented like pork belly, replete with large deposits of fat on 2 of the 4 pieces. Interesting idea; not a great dish. Not sure if I just got a poorly butchered cut but it's not something I would recommend or order again. Cocktail (I am Groot) was decent.
Good food, however the environment in the dining room is quite plain, and the noise in the Liberty room is high.
Great staff and amazing food! Impressive wine list.
Went there for the restaurant week, but it was too noisy that I didn't expect. But the Leek appetizer was sooo perfect that I want to visit again
