Liberty Room is so comfortable and affords many choices. The food, typical of Charlie Palmer, was artistically presented. Yet the portions are adequate and each selection made my taste buds celebrate!!!
Our servers were a pleasure especially Alexson (probably spelling it wrong)from Senegal!
Wonderful food and service. Nice wine list. Always a great meal!
Aureole is consistently great. Food, service and value is second to none. Had the $145 tasting menu on my last visit and it was spectacular. The beef tenderloin with veal demi-glace was one of the most flavorful dishes that I've ever tasted. Michelin needs to step up their game and give this gem its star back, actually, it should give it at least two!!
Food was wonderful and staff attentive. Second visit.
Beautiful room and excellent service. Appetizers were not as hot as they should have been.
Top Notch service
Order the six course
The food was outstanding, the service was not that good.
Upon ordering, we notified server of theater showtime, but it took 40 minutes for 2 burgers to arrive. Very unorganized service. Almost missed curtain time.
The service was excellent. The food was expensive and not worth the cost.
Amazing experience as always! The waiter did lose track of time even though he made a big point of making sure he knew when we wanted to leave to get to our show on time. We had to pay before the pre fixe dessert arrived and had only seconds to spare to eat our dessert.
$175 per person is so ridiculous.. and thats not even include drinks
Elegant, attentive and delicious.
It all comes at a price. Arrive prepared to ignore that.
Absolutely beautiful! Dinner was lovely have recourse was well thought out and it was a truly lovely dining experience.
Amazing place!
Attentive but unobtrusive service. Greeted by chef and other top people.
I cannot think of anything that could be done better.
Nice lunch
Service was incredibly slow. Asked for gluten free bread right at the start, had to remind them 3 times before it came and by then others were done and courses had started coming.
Ask for salt, took almost 10 minutes by then food was cold.
Excellent service; warm and inviting; friendly staff welcomes everyone as family! Food was delicious!
Great spot for midtown group dinners! I would definitely go back. Most likely for another restaurant week with another group of friends.
Our wait person was awesome. He described our food, paired my companion's wine and made us feel like we were the most important people in the room.
The short ribs were excellent! The chocolate financier for desert was too dry. Wine pairing wasn’t ideal. Service was nice. The ambience was very very dated.
Atmosphere was nice but noisy, food good but not as great as I remembered. I prefer The Modern or Gabriel Kreuthers for overall food, decor and experience.
Wonderful dinner during restaurant week. Delicious squash soup with roasted pumpkin seeds. Service was very attentive. The location is so convenient to Times Square, Broadway, and Grand Central.
the food is good. not awesome. not even great. i had the butternut squash soup with duck and the short rib with brussel sprouts. bland. bland. i didn't even finish the dessert--the choc cake was bland. oh well...
I visited for lunch during restaurant week. The service was very slow. I'm not sure if it was because they were very busy or if they're service is always this slow. The food wasn't good but nothing special.
The server is really nice. The pumpkin soup with duck and short rib entree are delicious. The dumpling entree is too salty for me. The dark chocolate cake is yummy and beautiful!
Came for restaurant week. Salmon was very nice. Rib tasteed ok. Carrot cake was very good. Companies Wine was ok
I had booked the Liberty room instead of the bar and they were very accommodating and gracious, offering us the a la carte menu in the more formal setting. The food was spectacular.
Our server, Alan was terrific. The food was all amazing. Thank you for an amazing night! This was my first trip to NYC and loved your restaurant!
A busy local indeed and for good reason. The chef has made every plate par excellence. Portions good and service is non stop. They make you feel uber special. Decor might need a little updating but other than that this place has to be on your list of restaurants to try.
An exceptional dining experience ambiance, food , service, totally fine in every way
Excellent food and service
Although we made a reservation for the Restaurant Week lunch, scheduled for the Liberty Room in the front, we were seated in the dining room in the back, which was a quieter more enclosed and very comfortable space. We both had the winter endive salad which was crisp and fresh, and the Scottish salmon (prepared as we requested) was surrounded with cannelloni beans and pieces of white turnips. All the food was excellent.
We opted for the extra $10.00 dessert course, and the carrot cake and chocolate nougat cake were both wonderful and very much worth it.
We would definitely come back.
Food was okay, have had much better short ribs at other East village restaurants. Not sure if I would go back here again :(
I have been here several times, and it has slipped from a great experience to just standard. Our server was busy and took a long time to approach the table and then another long pause before he returned. Everyone was pleasant, but it is no longer fine dining - just regular service level. Our sparkling water was refilled with ice water, etc. The food is good, but the overall experience is no longer worth $150 per person.
Aireole was the perfect stop for a pre-theater bite. We were warmly welcomed on arrival, promptly seated, and had wonderful service from a very friendly and informative server. The food was excellent, as we have come to expect from this long-standing fine dining establishment, and the ambiance was great...a nice buzz but not loud. Definitely will return for pre-theater and other occasions.
Aureole is a lovely setting where one can hear everyone at the table. I was impressed that their restaurant week menu had many of the same dishes as their regular. It made an excellent impression and I will return for lunch when going to the theater in the future. Service was generally impeccable until we made a special request. We asked to have the rather large bowl of soup divided between us and when refused, asked for a cup or bowl. That request was initially refused. My lunch partner persisted with another server and eventually the 1st server did bring a bowl. We did not reflect this in the tip since we were aware that our meal was a reduced price but I don't think this kind of glitch should happen. Otherwise I would like to thank Aureole for a wonderful experience.
Amanda excellent bartender and recommendations through your the night!
Zach charming and outstanding service!
Everything was great. Service professional and courteous. Made us feel welcome. Food exceptionally good. All around excellent
As always a great dining experience.
Along with a restaurant week menu to choose from made the whole experience a fun way to spend time visiting with a friend.
