Restaurant wasn’t signed well at all on street level. Had to ask multiple people and then had to walk through another restaurant to elevators to get to Aura.

Aura is a super nice place to have a cocktail and enjoy the view (especially at sunset !). The food was also great. I highly recommend the brisket sliders!

“Rooftop” on a 5th floor. No views by any means. Food was blah Over priced for no view.

loved this place! had a cute girls night and this was our starting spot then hit some other place after, we got the sliders and the queso and everything was so good!!

Had a reservation. It was a total disappointing. Finally got seated and then was 20 minutes before someone came to take my order and I got his attention then. So probably wont go back

We had read several great reviews & were also swayed by a bartender's suggestion to go to Aura, so we signed up for a reservation on line. We were walking and arrived 10 minutes early for our 8pm reservation. The host indicated the restaurant would be closing the kitchen at 8:15, had to ask permission from a server that she could take our order in time, and when I asked if we could sit at one of the seating area tables with a couch that looked out over the city, she said that it was already reserved. We were seated at a table just steps away, down the middle of the dining area, but we could still see the views of the city. Our server was polite, served us our drinks & took our food order. We were served timely, but a couple of minutes later at 8:25pm a woman came arounds saying that it was last call as the restaurant will be closing at 9:00pm. Honestly, to me, it seemed ridiculous to be taking last call 35 minutes before closing time. Having worked my way through college serving at restaurants & bars, we would only do that if a bar was very busy & this place was not that busy at the time we were there on a Sunday night. They announced again the restaurant would be closing in 30 minutes, and warned customers a couple more times, as if everyone looked like they were going to relax. It was not busy, in fact, no one was ever seated at the table (with the couch) we asked about. I just found the entire atmosphere (even when we arrived at 7:50pm-over an hour before closing) was colored by the hurried vibe the staff were all emanating. Charlotte uptown 9:00 on Sunday night, in the summer, when it is seemingly still dusk, could have seemed vibrant, but the staff was not in that mood.

It was our first time experiencing a rooftop restaurant down in Charlotte. We've been living here for years but never tried it. I'm so glad we did! We are definitely coming back and going to try more. I wish that there were more options on the menu but that's really about it

Saturday June 28, 2025, had reservations for 3pm for two. The (World Cup Soccer event?) was going on and AURA was absolutely overwhelmed with customers. The staff was frantic, service was poor, food below expectations, the rooftop setting has NO air conditioning and it was VERY HOT, especially for the poor souls who did not even have umbrellas. PICK YOUR WEATHER CAREFULLY for this destination. We expected the "rooftop" which advertises great views to be far better than seeing the walls of the high rises. We will definitely find fine dining with great views elsewhere.. I will say the staff at that time were working hard and pleasant, but again, frantic. They should all get a gold star for their serving well under the conditions of 95 degrees F+++ The 3 cocktails we had.....Pink Fairies (?) were very weak Fairies. Josh, the manager, was very present, spoke to us very cordially and is handsome, has beautiful hair, which I mentioned to him as a compliment. (Smiles) Overall, I would say Aura should be considered, as with ANY and ALL reservations in CLT, by checking the EVENTS calendars for CLT.
