Aura Restaurant - Seaport Hotel
Enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Great options and fresh.
Neutral. The waiter didn’t ask if we wanted water; I asked for a glass, he immediately turned and didn’t ask my colleague if she wanted any, which she did. The oatmeal was good, but it was an unremarkable experience in the whole. Not bad, not great.
The staff were all very courteous and made us feel like valued diners. The tator tots were out of this world with flavor, and enhanced by the ketchup. The pizza was definitely one of the best we have every eaten, a great value for the money.
Just. Ok. Nice service but food was only. Ok.
Nice last minute booking on Christmas Day. Staff was accommodating and food was decent. Not a huge spread of food but a decent amount for the pricing. Would go back in the future.
It was advertised as a Jazz Brunch with the Lance Houston Quartet. Ahhh... there was no Quartet! Someone on staff said the quartet took to many breaks and the are no longer perform. Had to wait for raw bar refresh a couple of times, server that replaced trays kep jumping into people with his cart, Turkey gravy was salty. However, Sirlion was excellent mushroom gravy was just Ok. They need to step up the gravy game and learn to season use some meat drippings maybe some herbs.
So we were disappointed part of the price $85 we assume was charged because of entertainment! We would have eaten somewhere for much less we had 2 drinks with the buffet and the total was $276 with gratuity included for 2 people!!!! Typically gratuity is charged with a group or 6 or more. We won't go back again. Disappointed.
We made Two open table reservations got confirmation but when arrived they had no reservation. I showed the confirmation to the door person, it was a wedding group day after wedding, he said I will open our private room to Accommodate and at that point we had 8 people but more would be arriving. When the room was sat we had the 8 ppl but then the Bride, groom & guest from out of state arrived. We asked to just add the tables, that were already in the room not being used, to our table. The servers seemed not too bothered but maybe annoyed. Quickly they accommodated. The groom was told by the person at the front door of restaurant that it was not nice for us to just spring a large group on them like that. Ruined what could of been a nice experience. The food good, great brunch but it turned sour because of the remark made to him. I am a manager of a large chain restaurant and never would i expect my team to speak to a guest that way. I, the mom of the bride suggested your establishment, so beyond anything else it was very un enjoyable, never mind upsetting. I was also a guest in the hotel. When leaving I thanked the man at the door, he was not the same man I had spoke to when first arrived, so maybe no communication but regardless, the comment was not received well by anyone. It became the conversation and it annoyed me since we just celebrated my daughters wedding the evening before. Just Too bad
After making a reservation through OpenTable - my party was berated by manager for not giving the Restaurant notice of a large group. I have never been more appalled by the lack of professionalism and utterly poor approach.
Service was more than acceptable but the ambiance felt like a nursing home.
Not a fan.
Went here with my team for breaks fast before heading to the convention center, for an 8:00 reservation. Place packed, service extremely slow (!!). We didn’t get food until 30+minutes after ordering and breakfast for 4 was $95. No windows either, so we certainly weren’t paying for the views. Buffet was something like $23. - we passed on that one.
Very poor service .
