We had such a lovely Sunday roast here - the place was packed with groups but it never got too loud, the staff were friendly and there was an excellent live musician too. The food was delicious too - I’m going to be dreaming about that berry and pecan crumble for weeks!

Had the Roast Chicken Main and Strawberry Creme brulee. Food very tasty and portions were perfect. Dessert absolutely delicious. I can't remember the name of the cocktail I tried but that was very nice also. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Restaurant was very quiet at the time so atmosphere was strange, not their fault.

Staff were attentive from the moment we walked in, drinks and orders were taken quickly. 2 members of our party had allergies and intolerance, both of which were recognised and everything checked with the kitchen. There were 4 of us out for food, we had a 3 course (Sunday lunch) meal, bottle of wine and 3 ciders, the bill came to £212 (with a tip included). 2 of us had beef, I had pork and another had chicken. All of the food was fresh and hot, and there was plenty of it. Will definitely be going back again, it was on the pricier side but on this instance, it was definitely worth what we paid for. A fantastic experience with great, down to earth staff. A proper little hidden gem. Do yourself a favour, book Sunday lunch here, you'll enjoy it.

Our food was really lovely but the service is so bad. We were a long time at our table before anyone asked if we would like water or a drink. I had to several times wave someone down even though there was lots of staff - no one came to our table without us making several attempts to wave them down. The service did get a little better throughout our meal but this seems to always be the case here. We also waited long times for our drinks to arrive and it wasn’t busy so don’t understand why. The food was lovely but the service would stop me booking again

Fantastic food, just excellent. Our table included several foodies and a chef. All commented on how good the food was. Jess, our server, was friendly and engaging.

We went for my husband’s birthday and it was delicious The service was very good from when we arrived until we left The food was delicious nothing was to much trouble for the staff I’d 100% recommend Aura The restaurant is aesthetically lovely as well We also had a live singer who had a gorgeous voice so that was an added bonus

First class welcome from front of house young man. Excellent food. White wine not cold enough- needed an ice cube Waitress happy and pleasant and efficient Weeds on front steps create a ‘not cared for’ impression on entry. On exit the corner steps need a good jet wash to get rid of deposits. These small points which are easily attended to take away from the classical and beautifully refurbished interior.

Huge thanks to Pasquale, Hannah, Seb, and Carol for the outstanding service and for making my husbands birthday such a special occasion. The service made us feel valued from calls to arrange the booking, to going above and beyond on the day The food was fantastic, plenty of options to choose from and our friends particularly raved about the bottomless brunch option. Fantastic value and never had to ask for a refill as the attentive staff were on hand throughout our meal, ensuring our needs were met. I love the quality and variety of premium drinks on offer and the decor and ambience is spot on Great team, excellent quality and we can't wait to return Many thanks

Great service and standout drinks Service was excellent—friendly, well-paced, and knowledgeable, especially when it came to drinks. The space is low-lit and stylish, perfect for a semi-formal dinner. All food arrived hot and well presented. 8/10 Highlights: the tomato tart tatin was well cooked with crisp pastry and a balanced glaze. The cauliflower steak was tasty, but portion size felt small for the price. Roasted carrots were nicely spiced, though could’ve used a touch more salt or acidity. 6/10 The focaccia was grilled and smoky, but had more of a fried bread texture—served with rapeseed oil and a loose balsamic, which was different, but didn’t quite work. Portion size was very small. 5/10 Cocktails were a real strength. I had the Oaxacan Old Fashioned and a house Old Fashioned—both perfectly balanced. My partner ordered the Twinkle and really enjoyed it. 8.5/10 We’d come again for the great service and excellent drinks - the food, however, could be a little punchier and more generous with portion sizing.
