Great food, everything is so delicious. They can work on their service. Have been coming here for a while now and every time waiters mess up one way or another. Disappointing since I love their food.
We arrived at 1:45 for lunch, yet at 4:00pm were still waiting for our bill. Terrible service made worse by sitting at a table that was too small for our party; in the darkest section of the restaurant. What was the point of making a reservation!?!
We noticed tables turning over twice befored we were served.
Pasta served without freshly grated cheese-- we had to ask for it & then waited a while for generic parmesan. Coffee served without milk, sugar or spoons.
Pity because the meal was quite good. The homemade pasta and Sunday Sauce get great reviews.
Food was amazing!! Delicious drinks , people super friendly!!
They were behind on seating guests with reservations and it took them an hour to get out my cold lasagna. Maybe it was just an off night. But I wouldn’t go back. My girlfriend got sick from the spaghetti and meat sauce.
Worst service imaginable. One person’s dish came as we were leaving. Had to ask for cups to go with coffee pitcher. Tiramisu on the menu but not ready yet. Place was empty but still had to wait for a table to be ready even though we had a reservation. Only saving grace was that the pasta was good and basket of scones was nice touch. Never again!
Food was great but our server was terrible.
Excellent pasta with a wide variety of choices. Service was great too.
The food was great but our waiter was rude and wouldn’t even serve us water until the whole party was there
I'd never been to Aunt Jake's before and found it like I usually do just to try a new place. I Googled Little Italy and was looking for a place in walking distance to the B/D train. I went to the website, looked at the menu, and liked the idea of homemade pasta & sauces, and liked the food options. The place looked comfy. My gut was telling me to give it a try. So a friend and I met there and we loved it. The whole experience was a good one and I would totally recommend this place. When I walked by all the other places in Little Italy on the way there, all the other places looked empty, but Aunt Jake's already had people sitting outside, downstairs and upstairs. We found out why. There was a very comfy vibe in there and the food was good! I look forward to returning and checking out their new location (they are in process of relocating) and I will recommend this place to others.
Best handmade pasta. Huge portions. Great atmosphere.
Tasty, fresh food. Asked for low sodium, but got regular sodium chicken. Somewhat high priced.
It was a little noisy because of how tight the space was. Not somewhere to dine if you are looking for something more intimate and quiet. I loved the experience the pasta and prosecco was amazzzinnggg
Food was amazing. Especially the fresh made in house pasta. I would definitely go back.
The pasta was delicious and lots of wonderful sauces to pick from. Loved that they weren't trying to pull you in off the street like other "Italian" places in the neighborhood. Would go again and recommend.
My next trip to Manhattan will include more time in Little Italy and another trip to Aunt Jake's.
Parents in town
The portions are really big but that’s what makes it so good. The food was delicious and easy to share with everyone
Great place and amazing food
amazing food. weirdly vulgar music not super fitting to their atmosphere. waiter was nice, just never asked if we wanted dessert and brought our check. would definitely go back and recommend !
Not good at all. So many better (and authentic) options in Little Italy
The food was fantastic! We split an individual kale Caesar and it was delicious! The pastas are handmade so we waited a while which was expected. Service was not the best but all the food made up for it.
Worst. Service. Ever. I’ve never waited so long for two bowls of subpar pasta.
I’ve lived in Manhattan for 4 years now and have eaten at a lot of restaurants. I can officially say that Aunt Jakes is my favorite restaurant in NYC
We had a reservation at 8:45 but were not seated until close to 9:30 which was frustrating. Also people who came after us were seated before us even though we had been waiting for a long time and had a reservation. Other than the service, the food was great.
As always we had a great dinner!!
Service was good.
Wine choices were subpar.
Calamari was a bit over cooked.
Food was fair. I had the rigatoni with chicken Bolognese and my friend had pasta and the meatball sauce. .
Aunt Jake’s has really slipped. The last time I went there it was wonderful. This time was subpar.
Great food, good selection, very nice staff, and superb location in Little Italy. When arriving - go down the steps with the string lights! It's easy to miss.
Excellent service, food is fantastic & it’s a fun atmosphere
Nice quiet restaurant. I wish we’d been seated upstairs but didn’t realize there was an upstairs until we’d left. The food took a while to come out but the restaurant was crowded. The food was delicious. The only “complaint” is that the server seemed like he had too many tables but I admittedly want to eat and leave vs linger and it took a while for our check.
We had to wait at the bar for our table. But that was understandable as it was a busy night.
The staff were attentive and courteous. The food was hot and delicious. Only critique was the volume of the music.
It was a solid dining experience.
I made a reservation at 9:30pm, I got there at 9:40pm and they told me the kitchen was closed.
What would they allow for 9:30pm reservations then? Terrible service
Waited very long for our food.. not the “good things take time” kind of wait but the “tables who were sat after you, got their food before you” kind of wait. All in all.. the place was busy and the food was well above average. Would come back.
Extremely poor service. Needed to wave down the waiter everytime.
At first everything was great. The drinks were great and the garlic sticks are amazing. My big issue was that our waiter was no where to be seen for most of the time. Our entrees came out wrong and my fiance got a completely different sauce than what he asked for. His corrected entree did not come out until we were done. Luckily he ate mine, so he was not starving. Then the check had both the correct and incorrect entree on the bill. I told him that. I never correct my waiters about things, my fiance and I have both been waiters and are shy. As a waiter when you make that many mistakes, you should comp or give something extra to that person. Overall what my fiance and I ordered was amazing. The other peoples food in our party was only okay.
Aunt Jakes was just okay. The server messed up our order so we waited a pretty long time for our food. The food itself didn't taste like authentic Italian - but sadly, not many NYC Italian restaurants do anymore!
Pricey but overall delicious
