Aunt Jakes - Greenwich Village
Book your next event with us
Second time here. First with my daughter and her teenage friends and this last weekend with my husband who couldn't say enough good things about it....especially their Sunday sauce !! Highly recommend !
Love the food… The staff is always warm and gracious. It can be noisy and crowded in the main downstairs dining room.
Tasty meal, friendly service
I took my mom here for Mother’s Day. She loved it (I did too!). The decor is very quaint and the employees are very friendly. We had an 11am reservation, which is when they open, and we arrived early. Someone saw us standing outside in the rain and let us in even though they weren’t entirely ready yet. Our waiter was extremely nice and was talking to us for a bit rather than just taking our order and walking away. The food and drinks were delicious. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to go back the next time I’m in New York.
Great as always, great service, great food. Just a great restaurant
Food was amazing and the staff was so friendly! Would definitely recommend
So so service by vaguely rude waiter... he seemed dismissive and not attentive. Meatballs were dry. Carbonara pretty good! Kale Caesar salad meh. Charming neighborhood place though. I’ll give it another try when they’re not so busy.
Service was not good and the food was only okay
Really cute place and food was very good
I love Aunt Jakes! My husband and I found it when we were on a weekend get away to NYC. I am a flight attendant and go when I have time on a NYC layover. The pasta is made daily and if you sit at the bar right in front of you! Tomás Is an amazing server and it was fun to see him at this location. Thank you for a wonderful evening
First time in and had a great experience. From
The front door to the server all were great. Found a new spot . Thank You
Darling place. Great food. Super snarky waiter. Not in a good way
Easter brunch. Quaint. Wish they had alternatives to milk ie. Almond, coconut, lactose-free; otherwise great & will go back.
Amazing food and our service was excellent. Can’t wait to go back.
Recently came for dinner right before an Easter Vigil service a five minute walk away. Oh, Aunt Jake’s — SO great, as always. Cozy vibes with brick and wood. 10/10 decor. Fantastic branzino entree with delightful veggies. Yummy three cheese meat lasagna — so luxe. Artichoke and avocado toast was an actual work of art. Service was impeccable. In particular, the host is an absolute angel. It’s my third time here — I’ll keep on coming back for special occasions, especially when near NYU.
Loved aunt Jakes! Super cute interior, friendly staff and good food. My only complaint is that it was so loud we could hardly hear each other! It’s just a small space that fills up quick!
Food was delicious especially the chicken Parmesan
Great restaurant, I love the fish and pasta for dinner and was surprised that they have a fantastic brunch menu. The staff is very friendly, the service is terrific.
My wife and I always go to Aunt Jake’s for pasta. This was a normal Friday dinner.
Cute date night place or even a fun place to meet after work. Came recommended from a friend and didn’t disappoint. Really liked being able to choose which pasta style I wanted and then which sauce style I wanted.
Host was adorable, service was excellent, drinks & food were Amazing!!!!!
Highly recommend Aunt Jakes!
The food was delicious! However, our reservation was for 9:00 PM and we didn't get seated until almost 9:30. The hostess' excuse was that tables who had already paid were lingering and not getting up to leave....at almost any other restaurant I've been to, they ask you to leave if they are waiting to seat tables that have reservations. We ended up having to point to an open table and ask if we could be seated there, and the hostess said "Oh, sure! That's a great idea!" I love Aunt Jakes but the service could definitely be better.
Super cute restaurant...not really a brunch spot, which it was listed as. Terrific host, but inattentive waiter. Food was excellent. Decently priced.
Warm inviting atmosphere with very delicious hand made pasta! We were last to leave that night and the staff couldn’t be more gracious. Can’t wait to go back!
This restaurant has been consistently good, and the menu offers a variety of options to satisfy almost any diner.
Pasta & chicken parm was out of this world !! Great on mon-tues when it is less busy!!
Great food! Lots of wonderful choices! Beautiful decor and great friendly service
Loved this place! Pasta is made when ordered, chicken param was amazing. Drink prices are reasonable. Cozy atmosphere.
Our go to neighborhood spot . Love it here . Usually get chicken parm but tonight had shrimp scampi, lemon chicken , bow tie pasta with pancetta . Great meal !
I don’t know where to start. Fresh, handmade pasta. Incredible sauces. Great drinks.
Kyle was outstanding
He called earlier to discuss a table request and promised me I would be happy with his selection and we were.
He helped us order and made great suggestions. We were celebrating a birthday and he gave us complimentary desserts. It was a great experience and everyone enjoyed the meal
This was my third visit. Food is consistently good. My fave is the kale salad and shrimp scampi. Service is excellent. Wonderful atmosphere. I’ll be back sooner than later.
Service and ambiance were fantastic. The food was okay. The buratta was not worth it. The rigatoni is not your standard rigatoni. wish they would have mentioned that before my friend ordered. The pasta is very dense. Wasn’t as good as my first time there, sadly.
Waiters were apologetic and very nice but food took over an hour to come out. Once it came out- it was even more disappointing. Although the chicken parmigiana was good, the chicken bolognese has zero flavor . Kale salad was blech
The food was awesome! Wine was reasonably priced! Super loud and we were sat next to a very noisy group of people. I was hoping they’d think to move couples to somewhere less loud. One issue was our food came out wrong, they fixed it but it took a long time and still charged us for all of it. Maybe taking off our appy or covering one of the mains would have been nice. Still great food though and would go back.
Went for my birthday and it was a great place for a large group. The service was great and the food was excellent. Something for everyone! Would definitely come back.
We had a pretty bad experience with a very rude waiter. Service was very slow because they were having a party upstairs. I looked around the room and not one table had food in it. Server was completely unapologetic and somewhat snotty about it. Ambiance was sub-par. Food was meh. If you want a better Italian food experience, try Rosemary’s around the corner.
Aunt Jakes is exactly what it is suppose to be, a great neighborhood place to be with friends and family. Good food, nice atmosphere, great value.
The food, the cocktails, and the ambiance were great. The only hiccup was that it took almost 40 minutes to get our food. The table next to us arrived, ordered, was served their food, ate it and was handed their check before our food arrived. Our server was nowhere to be seen while we waited and never apologized or acknowledged that there was a delay. I've worked in restaurants, these things happen, but to not acknowledge or apologize was strange. I would have given a higher rater otherwise.
The meal was delicious and the staff was outstanding! I highly recommend the chicken bolognese and the East of Eden cocktail.
