Cozy and delicious !
Had brunch there on a Sunday, server was very nice and personable! Great recommendations! And the food was phenomenal!
The pastas and their sauces all lacked flavor and texture. The clams in my spaghetti vongole were way too large. The clams should be small. The pastas took forever to come out. They were overcooked and served cold. I had higher expectations than this and will definitely will not be returning.
This is definitely one of my favorite places to eat! I love being able to watch the pasta being made behind the bar. Everything my family has tried so far has been amazing— our favorite dishes are the lasagna and Sunday sauce with farfalle pasta. The place is very clean and the servers are very kind!
Great pasta...the shrimp scampi was amazing!
Came here for a birthday brunch and was so so pleasantly surprised. DELICIOUS food and drinks all around, the cutest restaurant and good service. They did forget our coffee till our food was served but other than that would highly advise that you go for brunch and get the french toast or any of their pastas which are also handmade right there. So yummy!
We’ve been here twice. The food is yummy, but service is poor. Surly staff who did not check in once after delivering our food to see if we needed anything. I had to keep getting up to find our waiter to ask for things - milk fir my coffee, salt for our food, the check.
Grumpy AND shoddy service!
I have lived in the Village for over 20 years and there is lots of great service around here, but not at Aunt Jakes!
Our first visit. Food was excellent. Generous portions. Cozy atmosphere and good service.
Awesome restaurant! Delicious menu. Excellent selection of handmade fresh pastas (you can actually see the pasta being made in the dining area) and choice of many different sauce options! Apps and drinks also great. Lovely cozy setting. Nice service. Will definitely put it in rotation when craving Italian!
The food was very good. Pasta was fresh and plentiful. The chicken parm was one of the best. Tender and moist!!
Burrata bruschetta was served so nicely .. on baguette style bread with just enough dressing on the arugula topping !
Great cozy ambiance. Just enough candlelit lighting. Loved it!!
they have the best mussels! fun to watch the making of the pasta as well.
Visit to NYC from Seattle on vacation with husband. Best pasta I’ve ever had!
Loved the food! Can’t beat fresh, homemade pasta.
Restaurant was kind enough to find a table despite being booked (thank you)! Meal was phenomenal, I highly recommend the Lemon, Rosemary Chicken dish and the Burrata appetizer. Can not wait to return and try more from the menu. Well done.
An amazing find off the beaten path. Many NYC visitors like to hang around Midtown and Little Italy for their Italian fix so there was no wait to be seated at the Greenwich Village location! You could watch the pasta artist roll the fresh dough through the pasta maker which proved that the pasta you ate was fresh. We had excellent service and the price wasn't bad for fresh pasta. Will definitely be returning.
Good food, just wished service was as good. Server was nice on the surface but could feel his impatience with our questions. Ending up googling things that he didn't have the time to answer.
Would not recommend the particular pasta I had though. Very underseasoned
The pasta is so fresh and delicious!! Love the environment
Always fresh and amazing. My favorite in nyc.
Well the downstairs was really loud they were very accommodating and let us sit upstairs which was significantly quieter. The shrimp scampi with tasty and the cavatelli had a nice density. The sauce we chose for the cavatelli, garlic cream sauce or something like it was quite pedestrian. I would go back again and try a different sauce.
Outstanding homemade pasta. Friendly staff. Good for groups not a quiet dinner. Will return.
Delicious!! Can’t wait to go back. Great drinks too.
Food was bland. I got the pasta carbonara and had to add cheese salt / pepper.
The food was great. We love the garlic twists. The food was plentiful. We had the lasagne which was more than enough for two people, and the shrimp with pasta!
The kale Caesar is to die for! The pasta is always fantastic, and the servers are on point.
My pomodoro was eh— my date loved his pasta with white wine sauce. There was a private event so it was very crowded downstairs but service was sweet about it.
It was a cloudy day with a forecast of expected rain in the evening. After spending our afternoon at the met, we decided we were in the mood for some warm delicious pasta loaded with lots of carbs to make up for the physical activity we endured at the met. I came across Aunt Jakes on yelp, and although the destination was afar from where we were, needles to say, we were willing to make the commute. Upon arriving, the staff was respectful, kind, and seated all three of us immediately. Then they provided us with the menu, breadsticks, and gave us some time to pick out our dishes. The food was spectacular and the portions were perfect. It left all of us satisfied. We then ordered a round of drinks such as Lemonchille and a glass of Rosé. The drinks were also very good and of high quality. The ambience of the restaurant is welcoming, aesthetically pleasing, and for one-a perfect place to go to on a rainy evening. Overall, great service, amazing food, splendid environment. Will return soon!
I loved it! It’s one of my favorites!! The food and experience are all consistently excellent!
I love the decor and ambiance, and omg the pasta. So delicious- no matter what sauce you get! We got the Sunday sauce and the roasted garlic pecorino and we ate it all up. The calamari was also delicious. Also, try Aunt Jake’s cocktail- very refreshing.
Came here for a friend's birthday and will definitely return again
Hands down one of the best Italian meals I've ever had, and I am married to an Italian woman who is a great cook. All homemade pastas, including Gluten Free. I highly recommend the Bolognese, simply fantastic. Service was excellent and wine suggestions on point.
This place exceeded my expectations. Food and drinks were both delicious. The atmosphere and space upstairs was unlike your typical NYC restaurant. Downstairs was a bit crowded, but overall, larger than most others. We went with a party of 6 and felt very roomy and private and didn’t feel like our conversation was being overheard by other dining guests. Shocked at how reasonably priced everything was at the end of the meal. Overall, great experience; would definitely come back!
Delicious pasta, disinterested server.
Good food. Family style portions available but make sure you ask how big each one is as we ended up with a bit more than we thought.
This was great for a more intimate brunch - noise level is on the lower side, its well-lit, food is delish (esp the pancakes!!) and you get to see the staff making fresh pasta in the background (so cool!). It's also in a great neighborhood, so perfect for a walk after. Highly recommend this place.
Great brunch menu! Really cute and cosy venue!
This is my new favorite restaurant, I will definitely be coming back.
The food was just perfect. Everything was so fresh. We had the chicken parm and delicious fresh made pasta with vodka sauce. Our waiter Tim was awesome, even recommended a perfect cocktail. Can’t wait to go back
