Food is exceptional. I made res on open table. It’s the second time I’ve been there where they tried to squeeze 3 people at a table for 2.
My husband and daughter (14) just had dinner at Aunt Jakes on Friday and it was amazing! We started with beet salad with softest cheese that was delicious and loved the breadsticks to eat the extra cheese. I had the ravioli with Sunday sauce and I am still dreaming about the delicious red sauce with tender beef. My daughter had the penne with vodka sauce and loved it. My husband ordered the chicken and polenta and it was the best he’s ever had. Waiter was terrific and everything was just perfect - what a wonderful treat to discover this place and we will definitely be back! My only regret is that we were staying in hotel and could not take home leftovers - would have loved to take home everything!
Enjoyed sharing large and small bowls of different pastas and sauces. You might miss the fact that you are paying for the sauce separate from the pasta which adds to the cost. The space is pretty but LOUD. Our server was bordering on rude, slamming bowls down, offering us dessert and coffee, failing to mention the espresso maker was broken. If the food wasn't so good, I doubt we'd be back.
Great pasta, loved the options. Great space. Friendly.
I am going to try one of their other pasta dishes next time. Ordered Shrimp Scampi, and it was way too spicy. too many chili flakes. Our waiter, we sat at the bar, was a little grumpy. The restaurant got loud with music and it was hard to keep a conversation, but I will definitely try it again.
Love this place. Friendly service, great food. Fun to watch pasta being made. Great drinks.
Amazing place! Took my aunts here who were visiting! The place is very cozy and the staff went above and beyond. Very friendly and we never felt rushed. The food was so delicious- I recommend the burrata, calamari and Sunday salad for appetizers! All of the pasta dishes were so good, it was nice to be able to pick your noodle as then your sauce, at way everyone could get what they wanted! I will definitely be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Terrific food and great service and good value and good customer concern. Can’t wait to go back.
Lovely restaurant with great food. The kitchen staff needs to communicate better with the servers. Overall, a lovely birthday brunch.
My sister and I had a wonderful time at Aunt Jakes. Our host, wait staff, food and overall experience was wonderful, as we were in town for the US Open. Our best to you and to the restaurant staff. Vikki Constable
Great food. The staff was great. Can’t wait to go back. Like the s lection of pasta choices.
This restaurant is one of my absolute go-to’s. The food is consistently high quality and fresh and is always worth the price! If the prices scare you, the portions are also pretty big so don’t worry!
I traveled from rockland county to celebrate my 6th anniversary at this restaurant, specifically for the Frosé. When we attempted to order, we were told that the menu has a misprint and they don't have Frosé. We asked for upstairs seating since that was on option on the site when making the reservation and were told that space is only for overflow. So we left since we basically could not get anything we requested.
Really wonderful find and pasta that reminded me like I was in Italy! I keep dreaming about the tagliatelle and excited about the next time I go!
Another amazing meal at Aunt Jakes! I brought my boyfriends parents here and They loved it! The wonderful consistency amongst all of our meals - everyone’s was delicious. From the appetizers to the main dish...yum. Even though short staffed that night, we would have never known! Our waiter had the perfect mix of checking in and leaving us to our company :) can’t wait for our next meal at Aunt Jakes.
The lemon ricotta pancakes with mixed berries and marscapone are INSANE and I can not sotp recommending them to literally everyone I know. Super fluffy and jam packed with flavor, these pancakes are the perfect way to kick off your morning.
Host was great. Server was great. Got a bespoke cocktail before our dinner started. Had plenty of food to take home! Highly recommend. Carbonara was amazing.
The food was incredible and the waiter was very friendly. I want to go back!!
This place is great food and reasonably priced! Was awesome place to go with friends!
Went for brunch around 11:30 on a Sunday and it was fairly quiet which was so nice. Typically, finding a place this cute with a great, relaxing aesthetic would be so uncomfortably packed. We had an amazing meal and the waiter was great. Will definitely be back!
Great local restaurant with the freshest pasta and sauces! Everything was delicious.
Great place for a birthday gathering!
I had the lamb ragu. It comes in a cream sauce but don’t let that scare you away, it was absolutely delicious.
Homemade pasta, Sunday sauce and great service from Joe. What more can you ask for?! Perfect evening out.
Really cute place! Food was awesome. I think they were a little understaffed for a Sunday night but besides that we had an excellent time :)
Excellent home made pasta. I had the herb gamelli with chicken bolognese. So flavorful, and a little spicy this time too. Also loved the avocado toast. Seriously delicious food in a charming hip setting.
Gteat restaurant specializing in pasta and small plates. Staff is welcoming and very accommodating. I always have a great meal here.
Delicious homemade pasta, great portions that are enough for two meals !!
Nice Restaurant, good food, delivered hot and accurately
Only complaint and I am reaching for one is the menu needs more meat entrees
Plus menu did not inform you that you could add meat to your pasta
The waiter explained that you could, but could not add shrimp to your pasta, this could provide more revenue to the restaurant too !
Finally, charging for additional bread cheapens the experience, raise the prices $1 to cove unlimited bread sticks or fountain beverages
Will come back
No air conditioning. Awful dinning experience
Wonderful experience, great food and friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Service was terrible. But every time I’ve been to aunt jakes I’ve had terrible service. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation, but rather than seat us early, they took a walk in and then made us wait until past our reservation time. We ordered a bottle of wine, 10 minutes later we found out that wasn’t available. The gave us bread. I had to go find my own silverware and plates. The only saving grace is the food. Best Italian in the city.
This was a great restaurant to have a quiet dinner in the village. Lovely ambiance, great, friendly service. Definitely homemade pastas. Overall great experience!
Classic Italian food. Very good flavor. No complaints. Service was good.
My friend and I were early for our reservation and were seated immediately. That’s as good as service got. They seemed to be short staffed as the host was also our waiter, and he failed to make sure my meal was gluten free (which I said was important b/c I’m a Celiac). After a long wait for the food the cook came out to say that the sauce I had picked wasn’t gluten free, so they re-made it with the only gluten free sauce they had: marinara. For a “choose your own adventure” pasta place, one would think there would be more gluten free sauce choices. The host/server apologized and gave us a free round of wine, but the damage was done. I was starving, my friend and I ate our dinner separately, etc. Our carafe ran out of water and was never refilled. I asked to have my leftovers packed to take home and that didn’t happen either. I would not recommend this place or go back.
Went for Father's Day, and had a delicious lunch of homemade pastas. Ambiance was clean, bright, and lively. Service was a little slow, but we didn't mind because we weren't on a tight schedule.
OMG. We had been looking forward to eating here since we booked our NY trip in February and we were not disappointed! Food was delicious. Interior was adorable. Service was fantastic. Can't wait to go back some day!
Love Aunt Jakes - eat at the counter and watch them cut the homemade pasta noodles! Amazing experience as always!!
Pasta choices were wonderful. Whole wheat mafalde with marinara was such a surprise! Loved the tagliatelle puttanesca, too. Service was excellent. We arrived early, before official opening but sat at the bar watching the pasta being made. Everyone was so warm and friendly and welcoming. Will return!
Really wanted to like this restaurant as I live in the neighborhood, and love the idea of fresh pasta. However, the restaurant was chaotic, server and Maitre D were overwhelmed, and we waited an hour for our food. Other patrons were equally hungry and angry. To add insult, I was notified a couple days later by Open Table that our reservation was marked as a "no show"! Get your act together, Aunt Jake's!
