Good Mexican food. Nice and quiet for our 4:30 PM reservation.
Food was ok, service was terrible, manager asked for feedback but didn’t actually want it.
Came on an off hour of the day mid-week and got right in to a table for 4 with a view out the front window. Excellent, prompt service. The portions are generous so you shouldn't have to leave hungry. A pleasant experience and I would go back for the Mexican food experience.
Was excellent as always. I love the food, and appreciate the staff
Good food for a good price! Recommend for out of town guests staying at the Grand.
Service was slow. Temp warm inside. Food was average.
A friend of mine and I went to Aunt Chiladas for lunch. It was great! The chile relleno’s are awesome as were the charro beans. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. I would recommend this restaurant.
The service was terrible! It took almost 20 minutes for the server to greet us and take our drink order. When the rest of our party arrived, he never asked them if they wanted anything to drink. It took forever for him to come back to take our food order, and the food took a ridiculous amount of time. The restaurant was not very busy and our server only had 2 tables.
The shredded beef was not cooked properly in one meal, and the carne asada was burned on another meal. The server never refilled drinks and 2 people were not asked if they wanted drinks throughout the entire meal. The server rushed us as we ordered even though we spent most of our meal waiting for him. He wasn't friendly and the only decent service we received was when the manager came by and noticed our chips and salsa were empty.
The only time our server was fast was when he wanted to collect our bill. I'm very disappointed in the service and food, and even more disappointed that the server received an automatic tip due to the size of our party. I expected much more for a group of moms on Mother's Day.
We return here annually. It was great as always.
We picked our daughter up from the airport and celebrated dinner there before heading home.
Food was pretty good but service was slow and the noise was deafening. I've never been in a nice restaurant where the noise was that loud. I literally ran to get out of there after two hours. I don't know if the acoustics are really that bad or they allowed a few tables to be louder than it's appropriate in a restaurant. I couldn't hear my dinner companion speak at all.
Great experience. Perfect weather and lovely, quiet patio dining. Table side guac outstanding and customized to our presences. Street tacos were delicious. Only ding is this: no one should make a margarita In a tall water glass! But when we expressed disappointment it was remedied with something closer to the Real Deal.
This was our second time visiting Aunt Chilada's in the past two months. The food and service are consistently good--very tasty. Yesterday's lunch visit was disappointing because although there were many empty tables, most every diner was seated in the same room--and it was soooo noisy we could barely hear each other. When we were there for dinner last month it wasn't nearly as noisy--probably because diners were spread throughout the restaurant. I get the tile floors and the acoustics--but had it been warmer we would have been better off outside on the patio--where even the sound of the nearby freeway would have been quieter. Good food but so disappointing we probably won't be back anytime soon.
The service was good, especially our server.
The food was decent Mexican. The charred beans and the street corn were highlights. My pollo fundido felt a little rubbery and undercooked. The prickly pear margarita was intense.
I took some out of town guests there to try something new and fun. It was perfectly serviceable, but it is unlikely to be a place we visit frequently.
Great food! The patio is where it's at! Will be back for dinner/drinks in the evening
We drove up to meet a friend who was in Phoenix for a few days. I didn't want to navigate traffic, and found this restaurant on Trip Advisor. It was very easy to find, right on I-10, and no traffic hassles. Our friend said it was 20 minutes from his downtown hotel, also very easy to get to. Food was great, Ruth was our waitress and she was very attentive and helpful, even getting me a gluten-free menu.
Hit this place going to a spring training game, great find! The food was outstanding and the service was even better!!!
Fun place for out of town guests. Perfect Mexican food experience. Service is exceptional. Food is great. Meets all expectations for How a “real Mexican restaurant “should look. Delightful place. We loved it and highly recommend.
We took our friends who were visiting from Indiana there for dinner and sat outside on the patio. The service was excellent and very attentive. All 4 of us enjoyed our meal. The fried ice cream dessert was fabulous and plenty to share with 2-4 people. Definitely a restaurant we will go back too.
Great food - it rained so water overflowed on patio and got my dates shoes wet. Recommend a squeegee or broom to clear some of the water next time. Otherwise, great night.
Very good food and ambience. Needed to eat gluten free and server was knowledgeable of the issues related to Celiac disease.
Good food but plan on being there for a while. Service is slow and refills are far in few. When we went it wasn’t busy so not sure why service was slow. We had put in that it was a birthday and I guess they didn’t see it but they didn’t come by to celebrate the birthday. It was told when they confirmed the reservation.
Always a great experience here. Food is always good and love the atmosphere. Will definitely return.
Dropped in today for lunch since I was at an expo at the AZ Grand hotel. Had my old favorite the polio fondito. A little different take from another place in north Phoenix. Very good! If you down at Fry’s Electronics and get hungry, they are right across baseline.
Great food. But a long wait to get food.
Unfortunately I was emailed twice, and was called three different times to confirm a reservation. I already answered on the email that I was going to be there and did not need to get three phone calls after that. Got to the restaurant and half the restaurant was completely empty, so don’t know quite why the urgency of confirming reservation was
As usual, outstanding food and service! Our waiter this evening was incredibly attentive without being overbearing.
The Street Tacos we're great. The salsas, regular and hot, were both delicious and tasty.
Service was great, food was terrific. Would definitely go back if it wasn't so far from home. Plates are quite full so one needs to be very hungry.
Great Family Restaurant with menu choices that will satisfy even the pickiest of eaters!
Excellent food and service! Our new, favorite Mexican go to in Tempe..
Such an awesome place and the food was great.
Dropped in for lunch and had one of my all time favorites for lunch. PollioFondito! I had never been in the far dining room. It was a little loud from the lunch crowd, but the lunch was fantastic! I will be back before the year is out...
All hype for this restaurant, we were disappointed with our visit there
We met family there on Father's Day, I thought it might be busy but it wasn't to bad. Food was good large potions. Definitely could have shared. Only complaint was the chips were stale!
We were excited to try Aunt Chilada's, it looked like a fun place and we were hopeful to have some authentic Mexican fare. The menu was limited and not as diverse/broad as I would expect for a Mexican restaurant. Our server was very polite and friendly, but not very helpful and forgetful. The food was gross. Very heavy and not very creative. It reminded me of the caliber food you get at a hotel or airport. It's hard to screw up Mexican, but they found a way. I would not recommend this place.
Very nice staff and inviting atmosphere, but the food was not good. I was not pleased with the tasteless queso dip, the bland chips, or the meal that had ask unusual bitter flavor that left an aftertaste.
I've never picked over a Mexican food meal until that night. I sincerely struggled to eat and swallow, but was doing my best because I was visiting from California and my friend said the food was good. I didn't want them to feel as bad as I did :(
I'll never return.
We booked for 9pm . The restaurant called right away and explained that they closed at nine so the reservation would have to be for 845 at the latest. The young lady wasn't sure why I was able to pick that time. Anyway, I opted for 830, to give the kitchen time to cook our order before they closed. When we arrived at 830, We were seated right away, but it was outside. They acted like it was our only option, although they didn't look busy or full. We did not get menus and after nobody came for over for 20 minutes, I got up and asked for some menus and water . It was a bit hot out still. I would have thought service would have improved at that point, but it got worse. The food was average. The waiter was nice the two times we saw him. Shout out to the guy who delivered our food, or I don't think we would have eaten. I left a 10% tip but only cuz I used to be a server and I know he has to pay taxes on his sales. I usually tip 25% or more. Probably won't go back. We were staycationing at the resort . Open table was cool and convenient if it had legit times.
I had asked for a table that could accommodate a stroller for my 6 month old granddaughter. The table we received was by the kitchen. If I had been there first I most definitely would have asked to be moved. There was plenty of space available. It was a little noisy but not so you couldn't converse. Food is always excellent
