Dining at Augustine was the most special event on our recent trip to beautiful Prague. The sophisticated modern venue, located inside the ancient monastery, was relaxed quiet light and well-laid out. The staff were charming - professional but smiling and nothing was too much trouble. Ordering a la carte we enjoyed three magnificent courses plus in-house bread and butter, amuse bouche and petit fours. We enjoyed every course - favourites included ox-cheek ravioli, fallow deer - a fillet of venison, mushroom tea and duck pithivier. It was the attention to detail and the intense mix of flavours that impressed us The wines complemented the food perfectly. Thankyou to the chef and all the kitchen and front of house staff. We will remember the pleasure of dining at Augustine for a very long time.

We were disappointed when told that the outside seating was closed due to possibility of rain. The hostess at the entrance was uncompromising as we were prepared to move indoors at the first raindrop. Of course it didn’t rain in the end. The young gentleman who waited on us did a splendid job. The deal breaker was the food. All the mains were served cold to lukewarm on unheated plates. The beef tenderloin had some chewy bits. Needless to say we didn’t stay for dessert.

after reading the reviews we had expectations so thought we may try a birthday dinner. even though i had noted on the booking that it was a birthday there was no acknowledgement. on the night we attended there was a wedding which in fact we initially enjoyed even though it slowed down the service. however , with only 3 other tables being occupied on a Saturday night we found the 45min delay almost inexcusable particularly as we started to get more and more hungry to the point that we had to ask for more bread. the amuse-gueule arrived 2 minutes before our long delayed entrees and were incredibly minuscule in proportion. my steak main was delicious and by far better than the entree which was not worth ordering. sadly both our entrees were mediocre and small. i ordered a entree which was had razor clam but it was all salad , very little clam and terribly salty. my partner ordered a trout entree which was nothing to write home about. my steak main was the start dish and delicious. my partner ordered a monk fish dish "monk bread" which was all sauce but very little fish so we ended up sharing my main. in all honesty we were still hungry which is inexcusable when one spends 200 euro for dinner. in fact we had to have a cheese platter after getting home. we had considered attending the chefs table but the overall experience was mediocre at best and not enough to draw us back for a return visit which is a pity considering we live in Prague.

I visited this restaurant with my friend, and we were amazed by the food here. We had zucchini as a starter, beef and potato gnocchi as main courses. It was wonderful experience. But it took more than 40 mins to get our starter. We had some bread, and an amuse-bouche so we didn't find it disturbing.

Loved the meal and the place. Only comment is that it’s much more than the $30-$50 price range shared in the app. 100% worth the money, but be aware you’ll be spending more.

I didn’t really enjoy my food. The menu would specify what the dishes had in them but the food would be odd in texture and preparation. The environment was beautiful and the service was excellent.

Food tasted great and the meats were exceptional. Absence of sides (veg/potato) meant the meal was unbalanced and unfilling. Went for a second dinner afterwards at a different restaurant. Restaurant lacked atmosphere and unfortunately felt like a hotel lobby. Ambient lighting and music would have been an easy fix.

They don’t open until 6pm in difference to Opentable. We were the only one in the restaurant and it took 70 minutes to get our food. The ribeye steak, the most expensive item on the menu at $51.00 was questionable as a ribeye and extremely tough. Our daughters dish came out with hair and while they deducted it from the bill we were very disappointed with this supposedly upscale restaurant.

Beautiful historic hotel in a peaceful setting. Wonderful food and drinks with friendly staff. Be sure to stop by the Refectory Bar after dinner for a cocktail in a unique space. Highly recommend the restaurant and more generally this amazing hotel.

What a lovely time we had at Augustine! We were there for the Thursday BBQ and it didnot disappoint! The rain came but they quickly moved us inside. the food was amazing and we loved it all. thanks to our fine waiter and chef! Highly recommend!

We have been here many times, we even got married here, and after Covid, this restaurant has changed a lot. Much of the staff is different and not as friendly or professional as past employees.
