My favorite restaurant in NYC. My fiance and I always come here for the Goulash whenever we are in town. It's expensive, but everything is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is beautiful and intimate. We came here for brunch and dinner on our latest visit and were thoroughly happy with our drinks and food for both meals.
One of the best steaks I’ve ever had and the peppercorn glaze was beyond amazing!
Excellent food, attention and services. We will come back.
Great food. Loved our waiter. Service was wonderful
Fabulous brunch. Service was excellent! Our first time but we will be back.. wonderful addition to our neighborhood!!👍
The experience was wonderful. Best steak frites ever! Best heirloom tomato salad and great service. Lovely atmosphere.
The restaurant was really noisy. Hard to carry on a conversation. The female server was excellent!!
We ordered salads; excellent. We ordered steak frites. Very salty frites! The steak was impossible to cut, either tough meat or dull knives. Would not recommend it. Disappointing!
Food was good, service was not. 3 different wait staff served as our waiters. Took at least 45 minutes to receive entrees without any apologies or explanations. Super disappointing
We were seated at a table near the bar, where there would supposedly be less noise. People coming in without reservations were allowed to cue up at the bar, which resulted in a large & very noisy crowd adjacent to our table, that continued throughout our time there. Conversation at our table was impossible. Food was good, but overpriced for serving in this atmosphere. I would recommend this venue only for joining in the crowd at the bar for a boisterous evening.
I would recommend Augustine to a friend. The many reviews are accurate. The restaurant was crowded, so instead of a small table in the room, I ate the bar. The bartender rendered perfect service and thoughtful suggestions. I ordered the scallop crudo appetizer. I'm from the Gulf coast and eat a lot of fresh seafood. The scallops tasted fine but they were overwhelmed with the horseradish and (what tasted like) grated citrus rind. My entree, at the bartender's recommendation, was the chicken. It was awesome. I had dessert, the apple turnover. It was great too. All in all a very good experience.
Great place for breakfast
Not super impressed over the Steak Tartare and service was mediocre compared to what you pay
It was late lunch. Food is not exceptional. Service is great, ambiance is good.
Everything about this experience was amazing! Our server was the best part of the experience
Best steak I have eaten in years. Brilliant waitress, very knowledge and a great smile.
Flawless really! I can't say much more than that! Great food, great drinks, great decor, great service. One of NYC's best.
Like Balthazar, a French bistro in NYC. Great location in the Beekman Hotel, near City Hall and Fidi. Service was professional and on point. Grilled octopus excellent starter and salads are great.
Perfect for business meeting and long lunch with friends.
Mm yeah, yup
I hoped to find someplace special to take friends from out of town for breakfast. Augustine’s exceeded all of my expectations. The food and service were exceptional. We all enjoyed the spectacular setting of The Beekman Hotel. This is truly a gem in lower Manhattan!
Great RW lunch experience!
The Austrian French bread, Mussels & Souffle was delicious! For dessert we had the chocolate cake by & brulee. The cake had no flavor at all.
It was a second time during the restaurant week we went to Augustine because of the delicious food and excellent service!
We were expecting a good experience but Augustine’s exceeded our expectations. The food was fabulous and service was excellent.
It was an uneventful dinner - I imagined it would be an amazing experience due to many difficulties to have a table in such place - it was absolutely normal and a bit boring. The food too - boring... Service was practically not existent... Not a charming experience.
I think that their bar is a much nicer representation of this place. Thanks.
One of the great new places in FiDi. The food is always excellent, the staff very well trained and not over attentive, i.e., they let you enjoy your meal. Appetizers, main courses and desserts are all excellent and a wine list that covers all tastes. Has become our go to for an evening out at an excellent restaurant.
McNally hasn't a better looking spot, including Baltazar. There for a Restaurant Week lunch. Despite our limited experience, a couple of small matters were annoying. Tap water was at summer room temp; ditto wine. That aside, food was quite fine. A beet starter very tasty and nicely presented. Steak frites about as good as it can get. Everyone satisfied.
Restaurant week lunch deal was value for money.. highly recommend
I came to Augustine during restaurant week, really love this classic and elegance place at first sight, the servers and waitress were very nice, Salmon Crudo, Steak Frites and Dorade Royale were very tasty and delicious and beat my expectation.
We visit Augustine every time we come to NYC. It’s beautiful and the food is incredible. We’ve had many brunches and special occasions there. It’s our favorite!
We absolutely loved our dinner at Augustine. Beautiful restaurant, lovely service, delicious food. Highly recommend.
Anniversary date was very nice. The waiter was very informative and pleasant. The food was delicious!!
Excellent all around experience to celebrate our anniversary
I VISITED THE RESTAURANT DURING RESTAURANT WEEK. THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD, THE RESTAURANT WAS NICELY DECORATED IN THE OLD WORLD STYLE AND THE STAFF WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. I WOULD CERTAINLY RETURN AND RECOMMEND IT TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
Incredibly great food and gorgeous ambiance. Will definitely return. It’s like I was in Paris but with American Service, what could be better?
Steak was over cooked. Otherwise it was great.
I went for lunch and there was a lot of people from the financial district having lunch. Had the restaurant week prefix menu which was excellent.
I would have rated this top stars but am very upset with the management. I took a friend for a birthday lunch and we had a wonderful appetizer, lunch and two drinks. We apparently over stayed our welcome and after the second drink, what appeared to be a manager, came to our table and said we’ll have to ask you ladies to leave and then abruptly left. There was definitely a better way to handle this- maybe asking if we would like to move to the bar since they needed the table- but apparently spending a couple hundred dollars for lunch only buys me food not courtesy. I would not recommend this establishment.
