Menu and food was very good. We went here as a family and had plenty to choose from for dinner. The burger that I had was excellent! The appetizers were very good with nice portions to share. Drink and beer selection also met our expectation. We definitely would return for lunch or dinner.

The key to success was location. Located right on Penn and 10th this establishment is located 1 block from the Convention Center and near several hotel/resort chains. All the eateries on Penn pack them in nightly. The fair is typical bar grub, most noted for their burgers. The burgers were cooked to order and spot on. Wings were just OK in my opinion. The wings could have had more spice built in and not having to rely on the sauce. Pretzel sticks were soft and served with plenty of cheese sauce. The beer was cold with several on tap to choose from. One night they had a micro brewed nut brown ale for $3 which was very good. One thing I found odd was they did not have chips and salsa. Maybe that's not a Pittsburgh thing but they did try and gave me homemade potato chips. Next time, I'll just pass. Staff was hit or miss and it did not seem to coincide with how busy they were. Nobody was outright rude, but a friendly smile would be nice.

I dined solo at August Henry's after hearing about the restaurant from a friend who ordered the pierogi and kielbasa combo. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I observed several instances of staff going above and beyond to help customers, including myself. As I was leaving, I wanted to take another drink of ice water. The young lady who was clearing the table offered to see if there was a to-go cup. (There were many outdoor festivals going on that Saturday where hydration was important.) The onion rings were excellent (very much worth the $1 upcharge) and not greasy. The kielbasa/pierogi portion was so large I took half of it home. I would go back again.

Very nice meal! Our server was very attentive. The sweet potato crusted chicken salad was delicious. Coffee was dreadful. 😩
