Hostess was friendly and engaging, servers were pleasant, food was good.
Absolutely superior French cuisine, not just locally; but anywhere in Midwest. Special holiday menu is not to be missed.
Outstanding French in Zionsville
There are not a lot of French restaurants here in the Indy area. So we aim for only the best! I am so happy that you had an outstanding meal with us. Thank you so much for the 5 star review!
The ambiance can't be beat, full of old world charm. The food is extremely delicious and the service is outstanding.
We are so happy you came in and were able to experience our restaurant. Hope to see you again soon!
Awesome first time dining at Auberge. Amy was a wonderful server. Food was excellent!
Thank you for the review! So happy you enjoyed the food!
Having been to Paris this past spring, we were feeling a desire to eat French food, and this sweet restaurant has a wonderful and accommodating chef. It was great!
The food is nicely balanced with traditional favorites and the chef's interpretation of others. We loved the rosemary lavender rolls, the fireplace on a cold night, and the attentive care of our waitress. It felt friendly and elegant.
We'll go back!
We are so happy we were able to recreate a special memory for you! We cannot wait to have you back. Thank yu so much for the kind review

Preparation and presentation are well done
Thank you so much for the review. We appreciate all of the feedback!
Food is great and the ambiance is cozy and lovely. They offer a Chef’s Tasting Menu and it is an excellent value - several courses, perfectly paired with wine.
Jaja, thank you so much for the review. We are so glad you liked the Chef's Tasting Menu. Hope to see you back for our other Chef's Tasing Menus and live music Thursdays.
New menu, chef's tasting menu, nice wine list, same excellent food and service

Nice place, nice people, great quality food. Never felt rushed
We are so glad that we meet your high expectations! Thanks for the review and we look forward to having you back again soon.
Our experience at Auberge was wonderful! My parents were in town and I wanted to take them for a special lunch for their birthday. My father is a picky eater and he loved his lunch. They even said they'd go again. Our server Zoe was fantastic! I will definitely be back.
Thank you so much for the kind review. We are so happy that we were able to accommodate your family. We look forward to celebrating your next big event with us again soon.
Uhmmm. This was one of the most amazing meals I’ve ever had and my boyfriend said the best poutine he’s ever tasted - ever. 10/10 will be back!!!

Great food, nice atmosphere
Thank you so much for the review. We look forwards to you coming back!
Decided to give this another try; have been less than impressed on past visits, but it had been over a year and there are few French choices in the metro area.
Once again, the ambience was lovely, but the food is just not up to par for this type of dining.
We started with charcuterie, which took nearly 30 min to arrive at the table. (They really weren't overly busy when we were there.) There was no explanation on what was on the board, but it was decent enough.
A huge fan of Belgian cuisine, I ordered the moules and frites, which is actually considered an appetizer there for some reason. I explained that I wanted it as my entree and my partner had the duck.
Again, it took another 25 or so minutes for our main course to arrive, and the fries were as cold as if they had sat on the plate in the kitchen for most of that time. The mussels came in the traditional pot with baguette, but there was about 1/8 of an inch of broth served with them. (This was really disappointing as most restaurants that serve this dish understand it is all about the broth.) A good percentage of the mussels were closed shells, making them inedible. Meanwhile, my companion judged the duck as "ok", but was perplexed as to why it was served with a boiled potato with no seasoning and a sweet potato.
My dining companion probably summed up the experience best when he commented, "It's as if they have seen pictures of French food, but didn't bother to look up the recipes."
My daughter and I had dined at Auberge shortly after it opened two years ago. On that occasion, we found the food so poor (and so expensive) that we had no desire to return. Recently, though, I had heard some good reports, and so we decided to give it another shot. We both had steak frites, my test dish for a French bistro. The truffle fries may have been inauthentic, but they were good. The steak was good, too, but it was over-rubbed with the dry-rubbed spices, which overpowered the flavor of the meat. My side salad was edible but disappointing, with Wishbone-level dressing. On the whole the meal was acceptable, but at these prices you want something more than acceptable.
Joined friends for dinner and had a wonder time, meal and experience. Trisha did a great job without interruptions to the continuous conversation. The shrimp and crab cake were amazing! The duck drumsticks plentiful!
Thank you so much for the review. We are so happy that Trisha was able to take such wonderful care of your table. We look forward to having you back again soon!
Food is excellent. On this night service was somewhat slow because a large group was there, but the owner gave us two free drinks to compensate. Will definitely go back because this service was not indicative of their normally efficient service.
When we walked in the hostess was super weird about my reservation and I also could not hear anything she was saying, she was way too soft spoken. She originally told me they didn’t have anything outside which my reservation was outside. They actually ended up having a table outside, which we pointed out.
It took forever for someone to greet us and take our drink order, I would say like 15 minutes. Once we got greeted the service was really great and the food and drinks were awesome.
It was a rocky start but then it ended up being a lot better.
Food is amazing, server and hostess super friendly and very attentive. Great outdoor seating, and a delicious bar menu.
We really enjoyed our visit to Auberge. Just a couple nit picks...It was chilly when we ate on the patio, they have blankets for you which is AWESOME, but some better patio heaters would be nice. The charcuterie plate was WONDERFUL, but why no small amount of mustard? A fig or something would be a nice addition. That said, this will be a new regular spot for us in Zionsville.
This was our second visit after a less than stellar first several weeks ago. I have to say, while our food was better this time, service was atrocious. After the server took our drink order it was 25 min before we got our drinks. The server came by to take our food orders, but we wanted to enjoy the drinks first. Our burgers and quiches were good, however, and servers were friendly and professional. Maybe short handed in the bar? One more sour note, our friend ordered a second drink which never arrived. Inexcusable. We sat out in the lovely garden area in the front which was quite pleasant, and there was a combo that played torch songs at just the right volume, so overall I would come back. They need to get the service piece straightened out, however, to make a truly great experience.
Wow! What an amazing meal from start to finish! 1st visit tonite, & we’ll certainly return. Parker, our server, made terrific recommendations. Charcuterie platter was wonderful—variety of meats, cheeses, & tasty pickled veggies. The pumpkin soup was awesome, & so flavorful. The crab/shrimp cake with spinach & risotto was amazing—very little breading & an abundance of crab/shrimp.
Thanks for a memorable evening out!
Thank you so much for the kind review. We love feedback about great service from our servers. We are so happy that everything was amazing and we look forward to you coming back for your next memorable evening out! Bre DeLucenay - Assistant General Manager
Extremely slow service, we arrived at 7:30 and received our first course (soup) at 8:25. Main course arrived at 8:50
It was the worst dinner we have ever had. Not French, tasteless food, 4 courses 3 people and all inedible. Second chance, and obviously others agree Saturday night nd t 8pm 7 tables sat between inside and out. Very amturish, hotess a twit and waitress was the best thing about the meal. $270 down the drain. If you like ground pepper in everything then go. Chef needs to go to culinary school
Thank you for the review. We would like to apologize for your recent experience. We are so sorry to hear that your whole experience was not up to our normal standards. Typically we hear positive comments on our service and food. We do hope that you come back in the future to try it again.
Delicious food, a beautiful patio and our server Zoey was delightful!
Thank you for the review. We are so happy to have Zoey apart of our team. Thank you for the feedback!
We sat outside which was lovely, and had brunch with friends from out of town. Great experience.
Loved sitting outside. Excellent service. I ordered the shrimp/crab cakes and was disappointed. However, the rest of the meal was great.
Auberge has a marvelous setting and an appealing menu. Small glasses of sparkling wine presented when we sat was a very nice touch. The food had a beautiful presentation, but tasted just so-so. One of our party ordered a quiche, which looked as though it had been made many hours earlier - the surface looked dry. Veal cordon bleu had a thick, soggy breading, and the veal wasn't cooked through. Service was friendly, but had a few slow spots. I would try Auberge again, but this time it did not meet my expectations.
Was looking forward to going to brunch; had heard good things, wasn’t the experience I had hoped. If you charge over $10 for any egg item; there should be an unwritten code, we will cook the eggs as they are ordered! Even worse, if you list eggs as over easy... don’t let them leave the kitchen in doubt. Cute place, good ambiance, poor server was alone with a full restaurant. Might try again for dinner; Zionsville is adorable!
Always a wonderful experience and great food. It’s always a go to for a fabulous evening.
My boyfriend and I took my daughter here while she was in town from college hoping to not only give her a break from dorm food, but to have a nice evening out with good food. We've eaten here before and it's been kind of hit or miss, but when we discovered we could bring the dogs along and dine on the patio, we knew we had to go!
Ambiance: Absolutely perfect atmosphere on the patio and having the dogs with us was a huge bonus for this dog-loving family
Service: Our server, Parker, was very attentive and amazing, but we quickly realized that Parker and the ambiance would be the only thing we'd truly enjoy all evening.
Bar service: Our drinks took between 10-15 minutes for each of our three rounds. Parker was delivering freshly made drinks (because they were on the rocks) so it was obvious that she had nothing to do with the sluggish service at the bar. Our third round was red wine, and even that took a long time.
Kitchen: My daughter ordered the best dinner by far. She had a cheeseburger and fries that looked worthy of being on a food magazine. That's where the compliments end for the kitchen. Dinner took more than 45 minutes after our salads were delivered. My boyfriend had the veal cordon blue and it was coated in very thick, tasteless breading that he didn't like the flavor of and he ended up cutting around the breaded parts to get to the veal inside. The veal was dry and he said it wasn't anything like when he had ordered this dish before. I had the chicken-boursin and brie baguette. The chicken breast was the driest piece of meat I've ever had and was also burned around the edges - think hockey puck!!
Management: Not even sure if there was a manager on staff. We told Parker that the food wasn't so great. She offered to get us something else but we turned her offer down fearing that the kitchen would another 45 minutes to our already long dinner.
If we ever come back, we'll just get the burger & fries. Underwhelmed by too many misses here.
The restaurant and setting are so nice and quaint, but the food was not quite up to par this time.
Every menu item was tempting. Each entree ordered was delicious and unique. The perfect weather enhanced the al fresco experience on the charming patio space. Service was efficient and pleasant. We have just returned from a magical vacation in Southern France. Auberge refreshed our palates and recent memories of this exquisite experience.
The appetizer was great, bread is fantastic. A nice wine list with value options to choose from. The service was ok and the main dishes were good but not great.
Excellent atmosphere. Great food and wine list. Excellent staff
We had a wonderful lunch, food was delicious and presentation stunning! I recommend the duck wings as an appetizer.
We thought the food was very good, although my daughter got the Ratatouille and did not care for it all that much. The restaurant had lovely decor--rich and still welcoming--I would like to eat there on a could autumn or winter evening. The service was poor. Our waitress was very good but you could tell she was spread way too thin and the whole process was very slow. She explained at the end of the night that they were very short-staffed and it certainly showed.
