An incredible meal at an amazing restaurant ♥️.
Waiters and staff were extremely polite and welcoming. Food was amazing(literally no complaints at all). Ambiance was modern and cozy. Overall great and would recommend to anyone.
I was little worried about dining there because I’m not used to a lot of vegan or plant-based food but it was amazing.
The food minus the tea was fantastic! The tea had all the essence clumped into the bottom like mud. The waitress at the meal’s conclusión left and had me wait almost ten minutes for someone else to bring my change( I paid with cash)... no thank you for coming as I finally exited ... nothing...
This place is one of the most innovative places to get vegan food in LA. Some of the items are Vietnamese classics or, infused by. Others are more a vegan "approach to continental fare"
There are also some latin infused items. Overall though, every plate was delightful and very beautifully plated.
the food is amazing! vegan delicacies with great flavors and beautiful presentation. very professional servers and great ambiance.
Everything about this place was amazing. The food and service were top notch.
Our server Kristine S. was fantastic. She was knowledgeable about the menu items and made some great suggestions for us to choose first. We had a wonderful experience because of her.
The food is not only delicious and thoughtfully prepared. It is also very artful eye candy. Rachel was an excellent server.
We were a party of 9 people and ate family style, so we tried a variety of dishes-everything was delicious! Service was great and atmosphere was surprisingly nice. Parking was easy in a garage attached to the shopping center.
Delicious flavors and textures with beautiful presentations.
I’ve been here three times now and the food is excellent. I enjoy the curried rice, salt and pepper yam shrimp, and octopus dishes. The servers have always been very nice. The only negative, if there is one, is that food takes a long time to come out. It’s a good half hour from the time I sat down and ordered till I got my food. I would hope they expedite it quicker since it is an a theater and music area and a lot of the patrons are there to see a show after dinner.
We are always made to feel welcome. We went for lunch, before a show at the Ahmanson Theater, and were promptly seated. We chose the yam “shrimp,” the garlic and Thai basil noodles, and the “octopus,” which is made of shiitake mushrooms over black rice.
All were excellent, as has almost always been the case. Highly recommended!
Good choice 150 yards from Opera house. reasonable prices. nice vibe
The location near the Music Center is great, and the ambiance is very modern and pleasant. The food was pretty tasty, if a little overpriced. But that's downtown LA!
Surprisingly excellent asian fusion cuisine (for a restaurant in a mini mall).
If this place were in a fancy location and charged twice as much it would still be a bargain. Novel flavors and tastes. A great experience, especially before or after Disney or Chandler performances
The food was OK; we had salads. The service was disappointing, however. We had a reservation and when we arrived less than a third of the tables were occupied, but we were given a table at the back of the restaurant with a seat facing a wall. We waited 20 minutes for anyone to check on us. When I finally inquired, we were told that our waitress was "having a conversation" and would get to us when she could. We ended up missing most of the pre-show lecture we were hoping to catch at the opera.
The food here is always unbelievably good! This is a must try restaurant. All plant based and all delicious. This restaurant is the future for your taste buds! :D
Excellent service and exceptional vegan food!!
Overall it’s great, but, diners shouldn’t see boxes carted through the restaurant; the music was loud and didn’t fit; and the lemongrass “fish” was dry! The criminology mushrooms were great, and the “octopus” was creative and flavorful. Our waitress was the BEST, she comped a dessert, and was very helpful and attentive!
Great, amazing people and outstanding food. Chef is just a genuine and passionate person and it shows in his food! Highly recommend!
service is a little slow and making the 8 pm show at the ahmanson was difficult. Surprised about the 20% tip because of 6 people-didn't notice that on the menu. Otherwise an excellent experience-wonderful tasty food.
Absolutely amazing food, I am a raw vegan and it’s the best restaurant
My favorite vegan spot in LA! Best place for a lunch meeting or nice dinner. I’ve broight non vegan friends to this who are always amazed by the food too! Def check it out
Outstanding food and service. Even if you’re not a vegan you will find something to love on the menu. I am vegan and I would recommend it to all my vegan friends
Loved every bite and our server was super sweet and helpful! Highly recommend!
Tasty original menu. Great use of ingredients and strong distinctive flavors. Beverages (non alcoholic) were delicious. Outstanding service by Michael
I was blown away by this restaurant. The staff is very kind and helpful. The ambiance sleek and elegant and the food! The food is stunning in its ability to recreate tried and true dishes into plant-based renditions. When you don’t miss the meat or the real cheese or the pasta in a lasagna that’s a miracle. Other dishes didn’t disappoint either from the BBQ “Pork” rolls to the thinly shaved coconut “noodles” in a succulent broth the imaginative innovation here is on dazzlingly display.
Lovely hidden dining experience. I went with co-workers, our first time. Very quiet, business-like ambiance. Food is absolutely delicious and beautiful and costly. I think it is worth it for a nice occasion.
Really awesome ambiance and their food is amazing. Can’t wait to be back. Staff was AMAZING!!
Our Server Andy was outstanding showing above and beyond to take care of us.
The appetizer and the main course was amazing we were nine of us, none of us had a left over. it tastes great! the presentation of every plate is beyond word.
Thanks Au Lac you guys are amazing!!
I arrived early for my reservation and was glad as it got busy at the time I scheduled. The service is just good it could've been better. Here is why.
The server didn't offer a to go bag for leftover noodles, didn't refill our water until we got the check.
When we finished our appetizer rolls she took away the lettuce and I thought that was rude of her to not even ask if we wanted to eat it...or is it just for decoration?
I will go back and request a booth for sure...at least I got that.
We love this restaurant and were so glad to introduce it to our new friends and delighted when we caught the eye of the chef to thank him for his outstanding work as he was leaving the restaurant!
Worse service ever. We were seated upon arrival. Appetizers were brought out after an appropriate wait. Service was abysmal after that. We informed our server that the two of us were sharing entrees. We were told we would get sharing plates. They never came. We were told we would get more water. It never came. When we told the next server, they apologized and said we would get sharing plates. You guessed it, they never came. We did get more water and a serving spoon after the first entree was finished. The server apologized and said hey would bring us a desert gratis. At this point it was getting time to leave for the theater, we asked if they could just take a small amount of the bill. They said no. They insisted on bringing a liquid desert which we were not interested in. They did bring the bill. When the receipt came to sign THERE WAS NO PEN. Disgusted, we decided to leave no tip as we were going to be late for the theater. A server came out with a liquid desert which we did not want. The straw that broke the camel’s back was the lack of a pen to sign the receipt when they knew we wanted to leave quickly. I have never not tipped. The patrons that were seated next to us left midway about 15 to 20 minutes after we were seated. Their table was never cleaned.
Food was served fast..
Server was happy and knowledgeable about the ingredients of a lot of dishes..
Overall a great experience
They have closed their bar and have nothing on their website to alert former customers of this change. So no alcohol. The food relies a lot on frying or is not very flavorful. Their Vegan Shrimp remains their standout but really needs a dipping sauce which they do not provide even upon request.
Food so good, I just might become vegan! Truly a lovely experience all round!
This is a must visit for a vegan high end cuisine. Delicious and medicinal teas.
Fully vegan - 2 of the dishes exceeded expectation, but the entree (Lemon grass mock fish) kind of missed the "comfort vibe" it was going for in terms of composition -- just didn't come together in harmony 100%.
Atmosphere nice, service nice, price - will it is DTLA near all the museums/concert halls - so fair.
No alcohol - but maybe a nice Kombucha selection for the drinks selection would of added bubbly/refreshment vs. just the juices/shakes - at least for the dinner vibe.
What a fabulous discovery to find a gem in such close proximity to The Music Center! The food is fresh and delicious, the decor is lovely, the menu is varied, and it's all a mere block away – easy walking distance even for my older parents – to the Walt Disney Concert Hall and Dorothy Chandler Pavillion, etc. I highly recommend this restaurant!
